Toma’s Treasure

Continuation of Toma's POV:

He started to stir as the sun went down, groaning before he sat up and rubbed at his eyes. He looked towards me where I had been napping then smiled. "Hey," he whispered then got to his feet, walking to the closet. He shut the door behind him and I heard him moving around in there. I watched him. Good, he's getting dressed for me in something new. He came out wearing those rags again, a white t-shirt with black pants and a black hoodie. He slipped some shoes on then went into the bathroom before he came out, his hair brushed neatly. He walked up to the device then picked it up, messaging someone. "Alright... he should be coming here soon...." He slipped it into his back pocket then picked up a leather wallet and put it in another pocket. I tackled him quickly, climbing up his body and looked at the pocket of his hoodie before slipping into it and let out a purr as it was perfect for my body. He laughed and then started to take me out of the room, taking me to another. I could smell Sylar's scent nearby as he knocked on a door. "Sylar! I need you to babysit him," he called out with a purr. Sylar opened the door with a huge smile.

"Sure," Sylar purred and reached out for me. I let out a growl and slipped deep into the pocket. "What's the matter? Don't like me anymore?" I heard him tease. I let out another growl. I'm not leaving Dmitri. Dmitri pulled me out then and placed me in Sylar's hands, giving me a sweet smile.

"Be a good boy," he told me then kissed the top of my head. "I'll be home before you know it." I jumped back to him and rested on his shoulder. No. He laughed and then pulled me off before he gave me back to Sylar. I jumped back to him quickly and let out a possessive growl. He purred to me and gave me an amused look before he handed me back to Sylar and started to walk away quickly before I could get him. "Thanks Sylar! Don't lose him!" I jumped out of Sylar's arms and chased after Dmitri, catching a ride on his shoes. He didn't seem to notice this time and kept walking, going down the stairs. "I hope he'll be okay...." I purred in amusement as Sylar laughed down the hall. Dmitri walked down to the garage then got into a giant metal thing and it started to roar before it purred then moved with us inside as his feet were pushing petals on the floor. I looked the petals over before I started to chew on one of the shoe laces, deciding not to let him know I'm here yet.

After what felt like forever I felt the thing slow down and a door opened and shut. "Hey," I heard a woman purr. "Been a long time Dmitri." Dmitri laughed.

"Not really. You look like you're doing well. Ready to go? I have a dinner planned for us," he purred back to her. I heard her laugh a little.

"Sure," she said. "That jacket looks good on you~"

"I know it does. I picked it out," he teased and I felt the vehicle start to move again. I started up his pants then, growling as I went to attack the stranger. I heard him yelp and he quickly moved his foot to knock me back down. I could hear his heart beating fast and smell the fear on him as he figured out I was here.

"What was that?" The girl asked him.

"Nothing, don't worry about it," he told her quickly, laughing nervously.

"You yelped."

"I have a small pain in my back," he lied to her. "I fell down some stairs." I growled and slipped under the seat, moving into the back seat and went up under hers then went up her legs and towards her face. She screamed loudly as she saw me and pushed me off quickly.

"DMITRI!" She shrieked, looking terrified. "WHAT THE HELL IS- Is that a dragon?! You brought a dragon on our date!" She hissed, looking towards him then at me in fear. I growled and hissed at her in the floor then went back into her lap and spat at her.

"H-he's not supposed to be here," Dmitri whispered then looked towards me. He bit his bottom lip as she trembled then scooped me up and slipped me into his pocket. "I'm sorry Tammy. I didn't think he got in the car with me."

"W-well... he didn't bite me," she whispered and I heard her laugh nervously. "Just keep an eye on him... okay?" I heard her kiss his cheek then as she purred to him. I turned around in the pocket and went back for her, growling. HE CAN'T CHOOSE HIS MATE! I'M THE ONE THAT CHOOSES. I went to take her down, puffing smoke towards her. She yelped then looked at me, quickly holding me out at arm's length. "Come on! You're such a jealous little dragon," she whined and pouted. "Can you stop?" I held out my sharp talons at her. He forgot to feed me to go out on a date with this hag!?

"Toma!" He scolded then stopped the car, pulling me away from her. He frowned and looked me over before he kissed the top of my head. "I love you but don't attack her," he whispered. I grumbled what he said, trying to voice those grumpy words. He looked at me then lightly tapped my nose. "You better behave," he warned me.

"Why did you even get a dragon? They're so much trouble." She sighed and then looked me over before she leaned in and kissed his neck, giving him a playful purr. I went for her again, hissing. No no no no no! I snarled at her. She hissed at me defiantly and then smirked at me as I was held back and she kissed Dmitri's neck again, catching him off guard. He blushed and I heard a small moan escape from him as he loosened up his hold on me. I bit him then jumped her, biting her cheek quickly. I growled dug my talons into her. She shrieked and yanked away from my treasure, crying out in pain as she attempted to get me off her, begging for me to stop as she cried. I let her go and jumped onto Dmitri's shoulder, letting out a growl towards her before laying down. She whimpered and trembled in her seat. Dmitri looked towards me in fear as he glanced at me then looked at Tammy before he started to shake. I rubbed my head against him and nuzzled into him. How dare he defy me and go out on a date with that mistress! I hissed at her. She yelped and sunk into the seat more. Dmitri picked me up off his shoulder as he trembled and looked at me.

"I'm sorry," he said quickly then buried his face into my body. "I'm so sorry. Please don't be angry," he whimpered, sounding defeated. I licked his face and purred. He flinched a little but started to relax as he listened to me purring then pulled back a little to look me in the eyes.

"Treasure," I purred. His eyes widened.

"T-Toma? You... you..." He blushed then. "You can speak...." He bit his bottom lip then looked me over before he pulled out his wallet then gave me a shiny coin from it. I took it quickly and went into his pocket, biting down into it. "Tammy... I'm going to take you home. I'm so sorry about tonight, but I can't ask you to continue this night with me after this."

"Just get me home," she said quickly, sounding upset. "I don't want to be in here for another second with him."

"Alright..." The car started to move and she got out after a few minutes. Dmitri sighed softly and then started to drive again. "Toma... you're not going to let me date until you find a mate, are you?" He asked softly. I purred. He can have a date if I choose the correct one for him. Until then he's going to remain my treasure forever. "I guess that's alright. They all say you're going to lose interest in me when you come of age...." He sighed and relaxed. "That's only in a few decades... but it's kind of sad that you'll be growing up on me and leaving me." I won't leave him then. I snuggled up in the pocket, purring. He needs to feed me though. He purred to me and drove us home, taking me inside when we arrived. "Let's get you something to eat," he purred to me and took me into the kitchen. He heated me up some milk and slipped some honey in it before he started to feed me it. I sucked it down, moaning at the taste as it soothed my anger. He watched me and purred lovingly towards me before he took it back when I finished and gave me a plateful of honey and DT mixed together. I started to eat the honey, moaning at it's taste. I cleared the plate quickly and looked towards him for more. He laughed and then gave me a little more then dumped some sugar on it for me. I licked it up then jumped on his shoulder, pleased with him.

"Treasure," I purred. He laughed and started to rub under my chin, getting it good.

"I love you~ You're so cute Toma~" I leaned into his fingers. At least now he'll be too afraid to date without permission. He laughed and I felt him kiss my nose before he showered my face in kisses. "You're my sweet little baby dragon~" He gave me a playful growl and then purred to me. "You're going to be so strong~ I'll have to be more careful of you when you're older~ My sweet little Toma~" I let out a pleased purr to him and got back into the pocket that fit me perfectly. He laughed and carried me back up to my room, setting me down in a hammock. He gave me a sweet look then. I laid out on it, feeling pleased and let out a puff of smoke. He watched me then took his jacket off and put it on the bed before he went to the closet. He came out wearing some gold silk pajamas then laid down on the bed, stretching out happily. I watched him, admiring the gold he put on. Now that's what a treasure should look like. He laid on his side then and propped his head up on his hand as he looked towards me, resting his free hand on his hip. He purred towards me as he watched me enjoying myself on the hammock, looking pleased to see me happy. I purred in delight, rolling over in the hammock. He laughed and then started to play with my pillow before he laid his head on it and curled up with it. I looked him over before making the hammock rock to my amusement. He started to get quiet then I heard a small whimper from him and saw him gnawing on his pillow, letting go of mine. I watched him curiously. What? Is he having a nightmare or something? He ripped his pillow open with his fangs and got a mouthful of stuffing. I stuck my tongue out in disgust, watching him. He gagged and spat it back out, shoving the pillow away in his sleep before he bit his wrist and I could smell the scent of his blood getting stronger. I heard the door knock open then and Charles stepped in looking towards the bed then lost his tension, looking disgusted too.

"Dmitri! Spit your damn wrist out! Your blood is making the halls stink." Charles hissed out the order. I gave a small growl to him. Dmitri jolted awake and then spat his wrist out in confusion then sat up.

"Charles?" He asked softly and then rubbed his wrist with a wince. "What're you doing in here?"

"I smelled your blood dufus." Charles smirked. "You're such a sinner. I'm pretty sure that's unhealthy."

"I can't help the fact that I was sleeping," Dmitri mumbled. "I'm hungry.... Can you get me something?" He asked Charles with a sweet innocent look. "Please? I wouldn't bite myself in my sleep if I had something."

"Yeah, okay. I'll bring you something up." Charles left then. Dmitri smirked and then laid back in the bed, stretching out and yawned.

"I'm getting food~" He laughed happily and started to play around with the sheets on the bed then smiled. Charles came back rather quickly with the bottle of blood and tossed it to Dmitri.

"There ya go," Charles purred slightly. Dmitri looked towards it hungrily and then started to drink it, chugging down it's contents. He tossed the bottle as he finished it and gave a pleased smile. Charles watched him with a look like he still didn't know he was standing there and watching. Dmitri purred at him and got to his feet.

"Thanks Charles~" He purred happily and then watched him curiously before he snuck up to me in my hammock. I looked Dmitri over and gave a playful growl.

"Yeah, you're welcome." Charles gave him a smile. Dmitri glanced at him then stopped walking towards me before he smiled and walked up to Charles instead.

"You know, you aren't that bad," he whispered. "We should hang out sometime." Charles gave a half smile.

"Well if you want to watch a Twilight movie you'll have to ask Sylar for that but I could totally use a drink of vodka sometime." Charles looked Dmitri over. Dmitri smirked then.

"Okay," he told him. "I'll drink with you when your maker isn't looking."

"He doesn't tell me what I can and can't drink," Charles told Dmitri. Dmitri laughed then.

"Alright, I'll take you drinking tomorrow," he purred in amusement then stretched.

"Yeah, sounds cool." Charles purred in amusement. "You're paying."

"Of course," he told him. "I don't let my underage friends pay for their own drinks," he told him and smirked. "I'll have to find a way to make Toma stay or else he'll be hiding out in my pocket."

"You're not going to get him to let you go too far from him," Charles said. I raised my head. Now there is a guy that knows what I want. He's smart for someone that injured my wing on our first greeting. "As long as you're his treasure, you're going to have him near you for a very long time." Dmitri blushed then and looked towards me.

"His treasure?" He asked then blushed a deeper shade as a look of recognition flashed in his eyes. "He said treasure..."

"Because you are his treasure. Dragons call their first face their treasure and they'll protect their treasure for a very long time. They want the best of everything surrounding them too. Dragons are expensive." Dmitri blushed and looked at his golden laced pajamas then at me.

"I-I guess that makes sense," he whispered. "I didn't think he'd be thinking of me as treasure though."

"Of course he will, he cherishes you. Even if he is a menace." Charles looked at me and smiled.

"But I'm not a thing though," Dmitri said and then blushed. "I thought he thought of me as a mommy or a daddy or something!"

"Well maybe that's why he's not behaving right. You need to set ground rules with him and tell him you're the parent and he's the baby." Charles chuckled. "So he's speaking already? You know all dragons are intelligent beings. Before long he'll know every language." Dmitri nodded and glanced me over.

"Okay, I'll do that," he told Charles then walked up and scooped me into his arms. I let out a purr and went to jump back into my hammock. He held me tight against him and started to carry me over to the bed then looked at Charles. "Thanks again Charles! I'll see you tomorrow," he told him and smiled. Charles nodded and walked out, leaving us alone. I let out a growl. I was so comfortable in my hammock! He looked towards me once he had left and frowned, putting me on the bed. "Toma," he mumbled then crossed his arms. "You don't really think of me as one of your things, do you? I'm not treasure."

"Treasure," I purred and gave an amused look at him. I looked back at my hammock and started for the floor to get back to it. He frowned as he watched me.

"I'm not your treasure," he told me firmly. I looked back at him and went for him then, climbing up his body.

"Treasure," I told him. He yelped but stayed still.

"No I'm not," he told me again and frowned. "I'm not your treasure. I'm raising you." I licked his face then.

"Treasure," I looked down at his clothes. He frowned at me then but rubbed my head.

"I'm not treasure," he told me and sighed. "This is treasure," he told me and pulled out a coin and showed me it then pointed to himself. "I'm not, but this is," he showed me the coin again. I looked the coin over then at him. They're both treasure. He smiled as I didn't say anything. "So I'm not treasure," he told me again and rubbed my head.

"Treasure," I purred and rubbed my head into his hand. He frowned at me then took me over to the hammock and set me in it.

"I'm not your treasure," he told me again. "You can stay in your hammock until you don't think I'm a thing anymore. I'm a person, and you may protect me if you want, but I'm not your treasure." I laid down back into a comfortable position. He sure is grouchy to be my treasure. He should be honored. He watched me then purred softly, rubbing my head then under my chin with a loving look. I gave him a loving look as well. He laughed and then leaned in and kissed the top of my head. "Okay fine... I'll be your treasure if that's what you really want," he told me, caving quickly. I called out to him then with joy and jumped onto his shoulder, licking his ear. He giggled and then kissed the top of my head, rubbing my spine between my wings. "I love you Toma," he purred sweetly to me. "I hope you grow up strong." I looked him over, pleased with him.
