CHAPTER 20

"What?" Ivy thought.

"I told you, I never liked her in the first place. I had sex with her one night and she expects me to be in love with her but I can't. Especially if I love someone else." Harley said.

Penguin stepped out of the dark so that they could see him. "That's a lie. You think I'll believe someone like you over my precious Lucy? Because I won't. Now, tell me why you've come here before I have you killed, or worse." He exclaimed with anger raging in his voice as he tried to control himself.

"Okay, okay. We're here to make a deal." Harley answered.

"What kind of deal?"

"I need something from someone. Someone I never want to see again." Ivy said.

"Who would that be?"

"Cat woman. She stole the green orb and I need it."

"And what do you propose I get in return?" He questioned as he raised an eyebrow.

"Harley Quinn. She will take your daughter's hand in marriage, if Lucy would agree." Ivy smirked.

"What? No, Ivy What're ya do-in?" Harley whispered.

"Trust me, Quinn." Ivy winked at her making sure no one noticed.

"O-okay." Harley whispered back.

"So if Miss Quinn were to marry my daughter I would be happy to make a deal. Of course Harley would have to agree in order to cooperate." He looked at Harley.

"Yeah, of course. I would love to marry her. She's got such pretty.. eyes." Harley held a fake smile.

"It's awfully, suspicious though. How can I trust that you won't run away? Or break the agreement?" He asked.

For a moment it was silent.

"Uh.. Because I um.." Harley tried to think of what to say.

"You said it yourself, you love someone else. Who is it? I know it can't be Joker. That idiot only cares for himself you wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for his tricks again, would you?" Penguin sat down in a big black fancy chair.

"It's... Bruce Wayne." Harley chuckled. "It was just a small crush, I twisted my words. I don't love him. After all I've never even met the guy, but I know he's a hunk. Am I right?" Ivy could tell she was nervous.

Penguin thought for a minute. "Very well. You shall be married next week." He finally told them.

"Great." Her voice was a bit shaky.

After a few minutes of discussing some minor details Harley and Ivy stood in the hallway.

"What's you're plan, red? I can't marry her, she's crazy! How are we supposed to get out of the this." She made sure to talk quietly.

"I know what to do. But we can't talk about this here. Why couldn't you tell me about her anyways?" Ivy asked.

"Um-"

"Harley!" A girl with dark hair and black glasses ran up to her. She also had a pointy nose like Penguin. She hugged Harley so tight she couldn't breathe.

"Hey..." She struggled to speak.

Finally she let her go and Harley let out a sigh.

"Lucy, it's nice to see you again." She lied.

"I can't believe you're here. You came to your senses. Now we can finally be together." Lucy smiled.

"Who's this?" She looked at Ivy.

"I'm Pamela. It's nice to meet you." They shook hands.
