A Legendary-Ranker Was With Us The Whole Time?!

Katsu, Isami and his friend were still searching for the base of the dark elves.

They all stopped. Isami's friend put their hand on his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" Isami asked.

To Katsu, It looked like they were just staring at each other, but in reality, they were both communicating telepathically.

Isami then turned to Katsu.

"My friend sensed that something was wrong. They can lead us to Amaya, she's in danger. Let's go."

Isami's friend led them as they followed behind.

"What kind of danger is she in?" Katsu asked.

Isami then replied.

"My friend says that Amaya has come across the elves and their leader. She's fighting with them as we speak."

While running, Isami's friend looked at him as he nodded.

Suddenly, his friend began running so fast that she left the wind shaking.

The friend was quickly out of view.

Katsu was puzzled as to what just happened.

"What was that all about?" He asked.

"My friend was communicating with me telepathically. She asked if she can go on ahead. If we all ran together we probably wouldn't make it in time to help Amaya."

Katsu was shocked.

"She? Your friend is a girl?! How is she even able to move that fast?!"

"Well, like I said before...she's a high ranker."

Katsu then thought to himself.

"Just what rank is she?"

---------------

Meanwhile….The elf fell to the floor.

[You have leveled up]

"That just leaves that last elf and their leader." Amaya thought to herself.

The elf grinned then suddenly disappeared.

"Crap, it used Invisibility."

A dagger was stabbed into Amaya's shoulder then yanked out.

She quickly turned around while she held her shoulder in pain.

"How can I fight what I can't see?"

Amaya then felt a gust of wind move towards here.

"There!" She moved to the side as a strand of her hair was cut.

Amaya slowly began backing off as she thought to herself.

"I need to find a way to find him. If I don't he'll eventually wear me down."

She then turned her head and looked at all the snow.

"That's it. I'll watch for his footprints. I need to time my attacks just right."

Amaya stared at the snow up ahead and saw footprints start forming.

"There!"

['Speed Boost' has been activated] She jumped forward and swung a great big powerful strike. She felt her fist hit something and immediately knew she had found him.

"Got him."

(Elit Dark Elf: Hp: 2,701/15,699)

Amaya then heard a thump and saw a smear in the snow, showing where the elf had landed.

['Bust' has been activated] She jumped forward as she swung her fist at the smear mark.

"Attack amplifier!"

As she slammed her fist down, the elf reappeared as it was struck.

(Elite Dark Elf: Hp: 0/15,699)

[You have leveled up]

The elf leader wore an evil grin on his face as he slowly clapped his hands.

"You actually survived. I'm afraid that your little story ends here."

Amaya held out her hand as a healing potion appeared. She tore the cork off and drank the liquid.

(Amaya:Hp: 26,847/26,847)

Amaya then thought to herself.

"His speed is a little higher than mine. I'll need to be careful."

['Fast Tracking' has been activated]

[Enemy has activated 'Speed Boost']

Amaya glared at him as he grined.

He then shot forward and began swinging his fists at Amaya.

Left, right, Amaya rapidly moved to dodge his strikes.

As the punches kept coming Amaya was finding it harder and harder to keep up.

"I won't be able to keep up very long like this."

She was struck in her stomach by his fist. At that moment, Amaya quickly spun around and slammed her knee into his face.

They both took a couple steps back.

(Amaya: Hp: 22,177/26,847)

(Dark Elf Leader: 44,235/57,679)

"I guess I underestimated you." said the elf leader.

"I underestimated him too." Amaya thought to herself.

[Enemy has activated 'Limit Break']

"He can use limit break?!"

The elf took one step and was suddenly in front of Amaya.

He swung his fist and struck her in the stomach. She was sent rolling across the snow.

The dark elf was behind her as she slowly stood up. Amaya was struck once more and was sent rolling across the snow.

['Rage 2' has been activated]

Amaya quickly jumped to her feet.

Her skin darkened and her eyes began glowing purple.

She moved and rapidly swung her fists at the elf as he easily dodged.

He grinned then held out his hand.

"You're too slow."

[Enemy has activated 'Strong Telekinesis']

A blue light shined around Amaya as she was lifted into the air.

"Fall."

She was suddenly slammed into the ground then lifted back up.

"This time, you die."

A pair of footsteps made noise as they approached.

The elf leader quickly turned around and saw a person covered in armor with a sword hanging by their side. It was Isami's friend.

"And who are you supposed to be?" The elf leader asked.

After a couple of seconds of silence, the elf then continued.

He took his concentration off Amaya as she fell to the floor.

"I guess it doesn't matter, you'll die too."

He held out his hand towards the woman in armor as she was surrounded by a mystical blue light.

"Now lift."

She began slowly walking towards him, resisting the telekinesis.

"It's not affecting you? I'll just have to reduce your stats."

He then shot towards her and swung his fist.

He stuck her head, knocking her helmet into the air.

Amaya was surprised as she had just found out that Isami's friend was a girl. She had long smooth peach hair and black colored eyes.

The woman glared at the elf. A chill shot down his spine as she pulled out her sword.

She then let out a phrase in a faint quiet voice.

"Double Speed" She took a step and appeared next to Amaya.

The elf was clearly shocked.

"What are you?" he asked.

The elf started shaking as his body began to fall apart.

The dark elf leader was now nothing more than a pile of limbs.

Amaya slowly stood up as she thought to herself.

"Who is this woman? Her speed was even faster than Atsuya's."

She stared at the woman as her stats came into view.

(Level:1,167 Hp:1,610,998 Mp:115,000 Atk:367,000 Speed:778 Endurance:892)

"She is ridiculously overpowered."

The woman then spoke in a calm, smooth voice.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, I am, thanks to you." Amaya replied.

Two pairs of footsteps came running from behind them and slowed down as they got closer.

"We're finally here." Said Katsu.

"I knew that Akemi would make it in time to help her. She is a legendary-rank after all."

Katsu wore a surprised look on his face.

"You mean you brought a legendary-rank along and didn't tell us?!"

Isami then replied.

"Since There are very few Legendary-rankers, Akemi is pretty famous. When she goes out or goes on quests she usually hides her face to avoid attention.

Amaya then thought to herself.

"I guess my luck was both good and bad today. It still doesn't change the fact that I had to be saved once again. How can I hope to save others if I can't even save myself ? I think I realized where I went wrong. I'm always relying on those special skills I have, from now on, I should practice on using my own smarts and fighting ability to get things done. I will get stronger….I hope."

Meanwhile At the entrance of the legendary-ranked dungeon….

Shinya had arrived outside along with multiple platinum-rank adventurers.

(Platinum-Rank Adventurer, Gaku) He was a man with long red hair and yellow colored eyes. He wore a long dark-red coat and had on black gloves with golden spikes on the knuckles.

(Platinum-Rank Adventurer, Hakaru) He was a man with spiky white hair and black colored eyes. He wore grey colored armor on his shoulders, elbows and knees. His clothing underneath was all black. He had a long white scarf that covered the lower half of his face and hung down to his knees. His weapon of choice was a long silver katana that he kept on his side.

(Platinum-Rank Adventurer, Genta) He was a man that had short brown spiky hair and black colored eyes. Genta wore a light-grey tuxedo with white smooth gloves. His weapon of choice was a dagger that he can make appear on call.

Shinya explained why he had called all of them.

"This right behind me is a legendary gate. You three will guard this entrance along with some other adventurers.. Nothing goes in and nothing comes out. The others that will be guarding this place will be four gold-ranks, four silver-ranks and one legendary rank. They will show up sometime soon. You will be taking shifts of guarding until we gather a force of high ranking participating adventurers. It may take us a week or less to do so. If there are any problems, you can contact me via a magic communicator. I will be leaving now, stay safe."

Shinya then turned around and walked off.

"Are we really enough to guard this dungeon?" said Gaku.

Genta then replied.

"Of course we're not. That's why other high rankers are on their way."

Hakaru then let out a sigh.

"It's been forever since a legendary dungeon last appeared. Last time was a tragedy."

Around thirty years prior to Amaya waking up in this world, there was a legendary dungeon appearance.

The guilds around the world all teamed up and gathered a force of 11 Legendary rankers, 43 platinum rankers, 25 gold rankers and 44 Silver rankers. It was a giant dungeon, big enough to fit an army. The monsters were all stronger than the guild masters had anticipated and whipped out five of the legendary ranker, 33 of the platinum ranks 22 of the gold rankers and 39 of the silver rankers. They had lost to many men to keep going forward and they ended up retreating. This dungeon still stands today with heavy security.

--------------

Amaya, Katsu, Isami and Akemi all arrived back at the guild. Amaya walked up to the counter as Hana handed each of them a bag.

"Each bag contains 9,000 honor in silver." said Hana.

"This is too much for me to carry, I'll just put the bag in my storage.

['Storage' has activated] Amaya lifted her back and placed it in the portal that appeared.

That should do it."

['Storage' has deactivated]

Katsu turned to Isami and Akemi.

"We should probably get going now."

"Hopefully we'll meet again." said Isami.

"Well, see you later." Katsu began walking out of the guild.

"Bye, see you later." said Amaya before following Katsu out.

She then caught up to Katsu.

"We actually met a legendary-ranker, what are the chances?"

"There are only four legendary rankers in this world so far so, the chances are pretty low."

"Yeah, I guess they are. Wouldn't it be great to one day make it to Legendary rank?"

Katsu let out a sigh.

"Keep dreaming, because the chances that we'll make it that far are also low."

"Wow, you're pretty negative aren't you?" Amaya asked.

"Just a little."

He then thought to himself.

"Isn't it common knowledge that someone that gets summoned to another world should be overpowered or at least really strong? If so, then why am I so weak."

--------------------

At the Inn...Amaya sat in the room and pulled out a notebook as Emi stared out the window.

"This town is so big, shouldn't it be a city?" Emi asked.

"Yeah, it really should be called a city."

Amaya then sat down on a chair and pulled it close to the desk.

She placed her book onto it as she pulled out a pencil.

Amaya began thinking to herself.

"I've had this notebook for awhile now. Every once in awhileI'll write down some of my thoughts and stuff I've been through since coming here. I guess I better write down some stuff."

(Diary Entry #14 Ever since I came to this world I've Kept thinking

"What if this is a dream." or "What if I'm just in a coma or something."

But I'd like to think that this really is reality. All my life back on earth, I've always been bullied and made fun of becauseI was the most useless person. I was always bad at learning school stuff but I've been quick at learning other things. Even my parents would say mean stuff to me. I felt like they never really loved me. So after moving away I thought I could start a new life but bad luck just followed me around. After waking up her I was somewhat excited even if this is all a dream, because I'm more useful than I ever was when I was awake. But everyday in this world makes me feel stronger and smarter like I'm meant to be something. Today I was able to hold my own against a lot of Elite Dark Elves. In the end I still ended up needing to be saved. I also failed to save the lives of everyone that died back there. At least one of them got away. I still think about the time I had to kill somebody. Even though he was crazy, it was still hard to take a life. I didn't really think a whole lot about it until later on.

That's all that's on my mind today. Amaya, out.)

The sun had fully gone down and the street lights had come on.

Emi sat there admiring the beauty of them.

"The lights are really, really nice."

Amaya then walked over to the window.

"Yeah, they really are."

A knock came from the other side of the door.

Amaya walked over and opened the door, peeking her head out.

It was Katsu.

"What do you need?" Amaya asked.

"I just wanted to talk for a bit."

"Oh,okay. Come in."

She then stepped back and held the door open as Katsu walked in.

She then sat on the bed as Katsu sat on the chair.

"What do you wanna talk about?" Amaya asked.

"I was thinking about what you said when you were saying that it would be nice to become legendary rankers."

"You were?"

"Yeah, and it's actually possible. We just need to push ourselves to the limit by taking on quests and defeating monsters."

"Sounds great. Let's do it."

"It would be hard to do all this alone though. Starting tomorrow, let's form a party and finish some quests."

Amaya then stood up as if she was in a hurry for something.

"What's wrong?" Katsu asked.

"I need to use the restroom, I'll be right back."

She then ran out of the room.

Katsu turned to face the desk.

"Tomorrow is going to be a long day."

He then noticed that Amaya's notebook was open.

"A diary? I don't like to be a nosy type of person but I'm somewhat curious."

He then looked closer. Katsu's eyes widened as he looked at it.

"Ever since I came to this world. What...does she mean? Did she wake up here….just like me?"
