One of the soldiers in charge shouted.
"Hands above your heads!!"
Instead of just following his orders, Amaya held her hand out, trying to explain herself.
"Wait, calm down. Let me expla-"
The soldier in command wanted to hear none of it and immediately saw her hand gestures as a threat.
"Fire!"
Every one of the many soldiers squeezed their triggers and fired off many many rounds. The rapid gunshots continued for 5 seconds until their magazines were all empty. None of them even tried to reload munitions as they were all too surprised to. Amaya and those who she was with were still standing with no damage taken from the shot. Each bullet that was meant to seize the apparent threats had been flattened then dropped to the floor.
"They...took no damage." These were the worst that left the commanding soldiers mouth in a frightful manor.
Though he had surely seen crazy things through-out his time as a soldier, seeing people who took no damage from gunfire was definitely a first.
His eyes met with Amaya's as her expression was disturbed or somewhat upset.
'Gosh. If any of us were normal people we would've been dead right now. So mean.'
She stepped forward and steadily aproched the Commander. Amaya glared at him the entire time, until she stopped in to stand in front of him, face to face.
Each soldier quickly changed clips then aggressively raised their guns once more. Though, instead of paying any attention to the others Amaya was with, they only aimed at her.
She closed her eyes and let out a single sigh of disappointment. Her figure flickered and she vanished from sight then instantly re-appeared as if she didn't move an inch.
Right afterwards there were the many sounds of metal snapping. Each soldier's gun had been torn apart the moment they were lifted. But what had caused them to break all at once? Even if it was hard to believe, they all knew the answer.
With there being no more obstacles, Amaya began to open her mind and speak.
"Ok. Now that alll you guys's guns are broken, I'd like to explai-" She was not given the chance to finish. The commanding soldier pulled a pistol from his waist then aimed it and fired it at her face.
"I won't hear it!"
Bang!
Like the bullet was a simpel object, Amay caught it bewtwenn her fingers and crushed it.
Pinch. Crush.
Before the commander could shoot another bullet, she flicked the barrel of the gun, shattering it.
Flick.
Snap.
Witnessing her impossible strength and speed, all the surrounding soldiers quickly turned and hurried to run away. So did the commander, but before he could get more than a few feet away, Amaya pinched the collar of his shirt then tossed him to the ground.
Fwsh.
Thump.
The commander's eyes widened in distress as he watched Amaya's dark shadow hover over him. With having no weapons and no possible way to flee, he realized he was at the mercy of the seemingly enemy. Shutting both of his eyes, he leaned forward and covered his head in fear of being struck. Tears were rushing down his cheek, even if his crying couldn't be heard.
'What the hell is she?!! She caught a bullet with only two fingers! I can feel it in her presence, this girl is something similar to that monster. No, I know what happens next...she's going to kill me.'
Many moments of silence passed and the smooth breeze of wind was the only thing that was heard.
The commander slowly lifted his head and saw Amaya's white-haired figure calmly standing there, wearing a confused face. She potted the man's tears and imediatly recognized the major understanding.
"Don't worry, we're not going to kill you. We're not going to kill anyone. We just needed the chance to say so but, then you guys started shooting. So, I only destroyed the weapons."
The rapid heartbeat and panic of the commander lessened when Amaya's word reached his ear-drums.
"What exactly are you guys?"
"Well, we're still humans but, everything else is complicated."
Now that she has face to face with a military commander, a new idea touched her mind. The fact that monsters could slowly start appearing at any time was a fact that had to be explained. And there was no-one better to explain it to than the president himself. Amaya looked down at the commander and nicely asked.
"Would you mind contacting the president for us? There are a lot of important things that he should know."
"Oh….s-sure."
