The Boxer

In this world, there is something called the supernatural. It refers to anything that doesn't align with the natural world, or reality as we humans perceive it. However, the fact that what we perceive is just the tiniest bit of the secrets this universe holds… means that the supernatural is actually not superlative in any way.

It's always around us, just unseen and ignored by everyone except those who seek to know, and those who know to seek.

One of these supernatural concepts is superpower.

A scene so beautiful that people would be too overwhelmed to watch was unfolding. The location was actually in the classroom of a high school. It was described as beautiful because of the nature of the narration here which demanded sarcasm, but in fact it wasn't anything close to beautiful. It was just fugly.

"Boxing is the most popular fighting sport among the thugs at high schools nowadays."

"Yeah, it's our luck to be able to see a pro-in-training demonstrating his skills in front of us."

Two kids were talking to each other, their eyes set upon the aforementioned scene before them. To describe these two creatures, one can only use the word thug.

However, in a different perspective, the two can also be called lame. As for why? Simple; their dress code. If you've read Korean comics about bullying, you'll know that it's the most apt description for them.

So what were they wearing? Frankly, their garbs weren't anything different from the other students in the classroom. It was the style they chose that would probably induce laughter from you and me.

School uniforms always have a dress code that should be implemented by any and all students at all times, which consist of two aspects: being neat and tidy. These bullies were exempted from that, sadly.

The narration hasn't described how these bullies wear their school uniforms yet, so let's try to be as concise as possible. Starting from the bottom, we'll say that they're not too bad due to the indoor slippers that look the same anywhere. Usually, they would be plain white or gray with no customization available.

The school's rule is that you can't change that. But who were they to follow the rules? The bullies' slippers were a rainbow assortment of colors, ranging from the most vibrant shades of mauve, violet and red to the darkest tints of deep blue, heliotrope and black.

Next we have their trousers. Like their counterparts—the slippers—not much can be done with them, so let's just skip and put that they can only roll up their trousers for a hint of customization really.

You know what, screw this. If we go on the narrative for too long, it'll only be filler. We know what they typically look like, don't we? Don't we all? Just imagine that.

POW

"Aargh…!"

CRACK

"Ugh!?"

THUD

Such nice sounds. By the way, the vocalization between the sound effects was done by the victim, commonly known as Jiu Jihyeon the Bread Shuttle, the Punching Bag, the Horse Saddle, the Squealing Pig, the Pet Dog, etc.

He was an endangered species that was listed in the secret bully school forum with the thread List of Valor. Now, why the cringey, edgelord title? It was because the one who made the thread—or rather the whole forum—was still stuck in his middle school fantasies. We'll elaborate on that later.

The last punch that made the POW and CRACK sound effects was a body blow that targeted Jiu Jihyeon's middle. Retracting his clenched fist, Jeon Seokryu admired the moving art before him. Jihyeon was gasping for breath but looked like he was having trouble doing it, making hilarious choked sounds that brought serenity to Seokryu's ears.

With that reddened face like a balloon about to burst and those squiggly worms that were the veins on his face, Jihyeon was simply a real-life 3D painting that Seokryu couldn't help but appreciate.
