Chapter 7: teardrops for someone

It was yet again a very odd morning. The weather was dull and the dark clouds had allready enveloped the town. It's as if another disaster is coming. The cold breeze of the wind flowing swiftly all over town and you can see the thick fog rising up to the sky. This was rather a very gloomy morning for me as I go to school with a pale looking face. I was so confused and my mind is so unorganized. I am messed up today. I even forgot to comb my hair that they're all so frizzy. I was even late up at night thinking of what Kyle told me and on what I should do.

"Hugh?... Oh Harres!" Mia said so cheerfully, "Good Morning!"

"Mmm... Good morning," I said emotionless.

"Hey Harres you look dead," she said.

"Oh..." I said lamely.

"Oh come on liven up okay!" Mia said while hitting me.

"Okay..." I replied lamely again.

"Woah you look a lot like a vampire that hasn't sleep for a hundred years...haha!" She teased me sarcastically. But I can't get myself to laugh or get annoyed.

"Oh come on Harres you're being boring... Wake up you vampire! Wake up!" She yelled annoyingly at me like I'm really asleep.

"Huh," I sighed down.

"Oh come on you boring vampire, the sun was even covered by clouds. Why do you look so weak," she said annoyingly again. Is this really how my friends should cheer me up when I'm sad.

"

Uhm Mia... What should I do?" I said lamely.

"Hugh?... On what," she confusingly asked.

"Nah... It's nothing," I said lamely.

"What!.. you asked me and you say it's nothing... Are you mocking me," she said with a made up angry face. I just fake my smile and laugh so that she'll stop annoying me and to stop her worrying.

"Uhm Sorry Mia, I'm just lacking some sleep," I said with a smile.

"Okay then vampire. Hype up," she said cheerfully annoying.

"Okay right next to you zombie girl," I laughed a bit and teased her back. She kept talking untill we reach the classroom.

"Mia! Good morning!" Kyle shouted while approaching us.

"Good morning Kyle," Mia replied.

"Morning bro," I said lamely.

He just "tsk" and looked at me like he's angry.

"Hey you two, did you fight?" Mia asked concerned.

"Uhm no we just had a heated discussion yesterday," Kyle said while looking down.

"Okay Kyle I've decided. I'll be true now," I said to him straightly.

"Be sure of it okay... You can do it," Kyle said seriously.

"Huh?... What are you guys talking about?" Mia asked so confused. I don't want Mia to get involve in this messy situation so we didn't tell her anything. Kyle just said something different like we we're arguing about a video game and they went inside. I was about to follow them in when I saw Lyca from the edge talking with her friends. I needed to do it now or I might not have an opportunity later. I mustered up my courage and approach her.

"After I tell Lyca and her friends my real emotions maybe that'll solve this messed up situation. I will be free. I hope she'll understand. Then I'll try to make up with Shana before it's too late and try to confess my feelings for her," I thought to myself while approaching nearer and nearer to where they are.

"Uhm Lyca can we have a moment," I asked shyly. When I looked at the other side I saw Shana. She was smiling and blushing. I got curious so I moved a little but to see clearly why she was smiling. There, my heart suddenly started beating abnormally.

"Uhm... Harres! Harres! What is it?" Lyca asked confusedly.

I was lost from that moment that I even forgot what I was going to tell her and everything.

"Uhm sorry Lyca... It's nothing," I said with a trembling voice and moved away. All the words I was planning to say was cleared from my mind and all it ever think of was on what I saw that moment.

I went to my seat with a very unstable mind. I don't know what's happening to me.

"Why did I leave there? Why was I shocked? Why didn't I continue what I'm about to tell Lyca? Why was I so affected seeing Shana with some other guy? Why did I ran away? Why? Why? Why?... I kept asking myself why and why. We aren't even in a relationship why am I over reacting on it. Damn I'm so confused I can't focus. I just bowed down my table to concentrate. The next thing I knew, I fell asleep on my table. Just about an hour after that Kyle was waking me up so nervously. Then I saw the teacher in front. I woke myself up fast and sit straight. The teacher looked at me with a scary face and turned away.

"Hey Harres, what's happening to you?" Kyle whispered lowly from the back.

"Uhm... Sorry Kyle..." I whispered back lamely.

"Are you okay?" Kyle whispered concerned.

"Uhm yeah I'm fine," I whispered back silently,"thanks Kyle... you're a lifesaver."

After the first two period was over I went to Kyle straightly.

"Uhm Kyle..." I said a bit pale.

"Huh... Oh Harres! Are you okay!" Kyle asked concerned.

"Yeah... Can we talk for a moment," I asked a bit nervous.

"Huh... Uhm okay sure... Let's go the shed," Kyle said concernly again.

After that I told Kyle about what really happened when I was about to talk to Lyca and asked him if knew who that guy was. I was only open to Kyle and so was Kyle. I mean he's the only one who I can trust for now.

"Uhm Harres. There's something I need to tell you..." Kyle said lowly.

"Hugh...what is it?" I asked nervously.

"That guy you saw was third year. I saw him sometimes with Shana and I think that guy might be trying to get Shana's heart..." Kyle said a bit sarcastic,"you got a rival all ready huh."

"Heh?..." I said emotionless.

"Uhm I think I saw him also last year... from what I know he is smart, handsome, and also a lot talented. I don't really know what he's relationship with Shana but don't worry Harres. I think Shana is still single."Kyle said seriously.

"Eh... He is awesome huh.." I said lamely.

"Hugh?..no!wait Harres... Don't think like that..."Kyle said worriedly.

"Mmm... Yeah right." I said lamely again.

"Oh come on Harres!" Kyle said with an annoyed tone,"I mean you are also you know."

"What's awesome on a boring person?" I asked lamely.

"Uhm...ah...you are cute and smart...nah... Just show your bright side that's all," Kyle said.

"Huh? Is that a compliment?"I said lamely.

"Oh come on... Hey Harres... I'll tell you the truth then... You should confess now all ready and tell the truth to Lyca. I should be keeping this a secret but seeing you in that situation I'll tell you. Shana said she also likes you but that was 2 months ago allready.

"Huh?... What are you saying Kyle?" I asked confusedly.

"Uhm...about two months ago I tried teasing you to her and she said she also liked you. She told .e to keep it a secret... But seeing you like this. I needed to motivate you.

"Kyle?.. if Shana does like me too that means I have a chance right?" I said a bit surprised.

"Yup...but you should hurry with your decision or else her feelings for you might disappear. You might lose her if that happens."Kyle said motivated"

"Heh?..okay Kyle... Thank you for telling me about that...I'll hurry up then," I said cheerfully.

"Sure Harres... But before doing so...you need to fix yourself up...you look like a mess,"Kyle said.

"Haha... Okay Kyle,"I said with a happy tone.

"Okay see yah!"Kyle smiled and went back to the classroom.

I didn't know Shana also liked me but really why is that thing I saw still bothering me. I mean she was blushing there when I saw her with that guy... Her feelings might have changed all ready. Nah... I shouldn't be thinking like that.

I slapped my face and cleared the mess out of my mind so I can think more calmly. Anyways Shana liked me before. That'd be my motivation to confess for now and tell the truth about this rumor. Okay maybe I'll try getting closer to Shana tommorow and I'll try opening to her. I'll set aside this shyness for now. I'll pack up some more courage now.

I was awake early today. Was I excited on seeing Shana today? Heh but still it'll be great if that's how I'm feeling I can have more self-esteem. I am on my way to school now hoping lick will be by my side.

"I hope things will go right today," I said to myself while approaching the classroom.

I was gonna rush inside when I saw Shana and her friends laughing together. I slowed down a bit besides I can't talk to her when she's with her friends. I got curious about what they're laughing and talking about so I leaned for a while on the wall beside the door. Don't ever ever think I'm a stalker okay Curiosity has it's own reasons to exist. Besides I just want to hear their fun talk.

"Heh?.. really Shana?!" The girl at her front asked her.

"You like someone all ready," the girl besides him said.

"Eh who is it!?"the both asked her.

"She liked someone huh... I wonder who and why it's me" I said confidently sarcastic hoping that it really wasn't another guy.

"Uhm ..."Shana blushed shyly.

"Come on tell us!" They both said confusingly.

"Uhm you all ready know him... He's the one I'm with last time"Shana said while blushing.

"Eh that third year guy? Really? really?"the girl in front her said.

"You're so lucky Shana... You got a good guy that you like," the girl besides her said.

"Uhm he's my boyfriend allready...he just confessed yesterday,"Shana said shyly.

"Really Shana! You're in a relationship now!" The girl in front her said.

"Congratulation then Shana...I heard he's really kind," the girl besides her said.

What was I expecting?of course she had fallen for someone all ready. What was I so confident about? I'm just an arrogant idiot.

Why?why am I feeling this?

I was shocked... No I was surprised by that. Somehow I can feel the beat of my heart beating slowly and it stings. This is?..a tear came out of my eye... this was my first TEARDROP FOR SOMEONE.
