Along the journey, the 3 day journey Don got to know more about Rit the hunter. Rit was a well off hunter from the town of Arid. He had no family except for his male servant Sam. Throughout his 35 years of life he never married or had any children. His father died in the war for the country of Sardania and following after that his mother died of an unknown disease. Leaving Rit with no family other than the family servant Sam as his other relatives also died of the same disease that killed his mother. Rit and Sam mostly kept to themselves other than trading with the townsfolk with the things Rit hunted and for supplies.
During the journey Rit taught Don how to hunt, cook, and distinguish his surroundings. Which Don easily learned.
"Well here we are Don. This is Arid. You can go to the inn, the tavern, and town square. Ask around to see if anybody here knows you. Good luck kid. If you don't find out anything. Come find me, I can put you to work since you're a quick learner."
"Thank you sir. And I will do that if nothing comes up." Don says as he looks around.
"I'm gonna head to the town square to do some trading." Rit walks towards the the town.
Don went around the town of Arid asking around if anyone knew him. The town was large enough to accommodate about 2 thousand resident with houses and shops lining the street. However, with no luck of finding his identity he goes to the town square to look for Rit. "No luck eh kid."
"No sir."
"Well you can come live with me until something comes up. But don't think you're gonna be living with me for free boy. You better work hard."
"Yes, sir. Thank you again sir."
The two headed to Rits home which was 5 miles south of the town of Arid. When they got there it was already dark out.
"Welcome back master. How was your hunt?
"It went well Sam."
Sam was a thin man, only just an inch shorter than Rit with a somewhat steady physique. He had brown hair with a clean shaven face and was wearing a leather outfit that made he look like both a guardsman and a butler.
"And who might this young man be master?"
"Oh him. He's our new worker. His name is Don. If you would be kind enough to lead him to one of our unused rooms."
"Yes of course master. Don follow me."
"Yes sir."
Sam lead Don to a spacious room with a bed, chair, and a chest.
"This will be your room Don."
"Thank you sir."
"We will see you in the dining room first thing in the morning. The dining room is to the left of your room and down the corridor. Good night young man."
"Yes, sir."
