|Tony's POV|

-After my last meeting with Fury in Sokovia, I thought it wouldn't have to deal with his shit for at least a decade, yet this? Fuck.-

"Are you sure that she's his daughter?" I asked my chauffer, but all I received was a look of annoyance.

Happy: "How the hell should I know? It's not like I have the power to read minds. I don't even know Fury, personally. And even if I did, that pirate wouldn't possibly tell me anything." he huffed as he remained standing in the doorway, not wanting to enter the room.

Rubbing my temples together, I just waved Happy off. "Where is she?" I asked him, thinking about the more pressing matters I have.

Happy: "In the lounge room. I asked her to-" he answered my question, but half-way through, he was cut off with a "Out of the way bub."

The female voice was calm, eerily so, but it had a rather I-don't-give-a-fuck tone in it too. Looking at the girl, I immediately noticed her brown skin. Not that I don't like it, I'm not a racist, but it's what anyone would immediately notice. Then, I got a look at her face, and I have to admit, she was a beauty, but from the aura she gives off, I could easily tell she wasn't my type, and even if she was, she looked 16, and I'm not getting in trouble with a minor, also, I still have to make up with Pepper.

???: "Michelle Jones. I'm here to ask your help." the girl, Michelle, was pretty blunt, immediately going into business. I, however, am not going to lend my help so easily.

"Mmmm...yeah. No. Okay, cupcake. You look cute and all, but I ain't gonna help you. If you're a fan, you can wait for next week. I'm going to introduce a new model of my-" I planned to send her away, but the girl just shot me an annoyed glance and cut me off with a bark.

Michelle: "Don't care. What I do care, Mr. Iron Man, is Nick Fury. Previous director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I already told your butler what I came here for. But, just in case he didn't tell you, well, I need your help on finding that pirate." she told me coolly, her glare trying to intimidate me, but considering I fought against bigger things, then me getting scared by that is highly unlikely.

"Look, girly. I don't know why you're looking for him, but for whatever reason, just drop it." I tell her, but it still doesn't make her go away.

Michelle: "Ugh. Iron Man, I just need to know where Fury is. I haven't seen the man since my childhood, but I still need his help. Since I can't find any of your teammates, and I'm sure the government wouldn't help me, so you're my last bet. Just help me, please." she asked me, her previously nonchalant attitude slowly turning into a pleading one. With how I was brought up, I knew which people were fake or real. And this girl was definitely telling the truth, though it's still hard to believe that Fury has a child. Nonetheless, I just can't offer my help to someone suspicious.

"Well, Michelle...you told my...*snickers* butler, that Fury was your father?" I asked her, discerning if she really was Fury's daughter, which I believe is not true. Never really could imagine that man having a child, or a partner in general.

Making herself comfortable, she sat on the sofa in front of me and casually rested on it.

Michelle: "Yep. The pirate is my..."father". Ugh. I really don't like calling him that." she says with a scowl, and that caught my attention immediately. Letting myself sit down an my beanbag, I continued to ask her.

"And why is that?" was the only words that came out of my mouth before before I filled it with chips. Looking at the girl, I decided to be generous. Stretching my hand, I shook the bag of chips in front of her. "Chips?"

But, to my act of kindness, she only frowned and shook her head.

Michelle: "Nah. Don't like plain chips. I'm more into Doritos." was all she said while pushing the snack away from her. Shrugging my shoulder, I gestured her to continue.

Michelle: "And Fury really can't be called my father. I only saw him once when I was a child, that's when he dropped off my half-sister. Then I'd sometimes just see a glance of him before he disappears like a ghost."

Raising an eyebrow, I read her expression, looking for anything out of the ordinary, but all I found was how she was keeping her calm. After putting another chip in my mouth, I asked.

"How'd you know Fury was your...father. And what's with the half-sister?" the moment I asked, the girl just sighed.

Michelle: "It was pretty easy to guess. The day I met Fury, I was five at the time, but I was smarter than others. I was able to make out what my mom and Fury were talking about, and I connected the dots to Fury being my 'father'. That was also the day where Freyja came into my life. Though Fury was technically her father, it was because he was a sperm donner to a lesbian couple, who died and Fury actually held a sense of humanity in him and gave him to us, to me." she explained while looking somewhat nostalgic, but it was soon replaced with her nonchalant look from before.

Michelle: "And that's why I'm here. I need you to call Fury, because he has to be here. He has to be the one to find Freyja." she told me with a stern look, a look that said she wouldn't back down. Crossing my legs, I stretched my neck while massaging it.

"And why does Fury, the man who hasn't ever been physically nor, this is a guess actually, even emotionally there for you, the both of you, be the one to find your sister. And why do you need to find her anyways? She missing or something?" then I began to stretch my arms, eager to get to work on my new project.

Michelle: "She isn't. She disappeared one day while leaving a letter. Said something about-" she tried to say something, but I cut her off, knowing what she's about to say.

"'Don't look for me.' something like that? You know, when someone disappears and writes a letter like that, then you have to leave them alone." I tell her in a sagely voice, but all she did was glare and scoff at me. Crossing her arms, she put her feet on the table.

Michelle: "No. She didn't write that. She wrote that she'll be going somewhere, and she's definitely not in a spa, 'cause she's been gone for a week now!" her tone started to deepen, anger evident in her eyes. Rolling my eyes, I leaned on my chair.

"Then a one week getaway to paradise." was the only thing I told her as I stood up, preparing to leave.

"Look, kid. Why don't you just go to the police and file a missing case for your sister." I knew she wanted to say more, but I already reached the door by then. I, however, was stopped by Jarvis and a gasp.

Jarvis: "Sir. I have narrowed down the host of the Symbiote into 4. Lylia Linux, Shane Ports, Katy Campbell, and Freyja Smile." informed my A.I. and turning around, I saw the four possible hosts with their info and images in a hologram. However, what caught my attention was the familiar name, plus the lack of information, making me turn my head to Michelle.

Michelle: "Wh-what's this? Why is my sister there!" she demanded as she huffed, and I knew that things just got more problematic than it already was.

|Gwen's POV|

The flight to North Dakota was a literal, pain in the ass. We spent hours, sitting on the same seat. It kinda makes me want to tell Stark to upgrade them. However, it was a good thing that Petra and Venom was there with me, if not, I would have lost it. Our pilot wasn't the talkative type. Still, all throughout the flight, I felt like I forgot something. I checked everything, yet I didn't miss anything. I have all my equipment, I brought spare clothes, my bag was with me, so was my phone.

It bugged me, but what irked me was that I felt that something really bad was about to happen, and my gut was much stronger than my spider-senses, when it came to things like, more into the future danger. But, I'll never know the reason why I'm like this if I don't go through it.

Petra and I fought against Carnage before, and that parasite is one hell of a bitch. Insane, manic, crazy, loose-screwed, deranged, cuckoo, every synonym of crazy is what makes that alien. And so was the previous host, but it was more so on the killer side. We know how to fight against it, and we've defeated once, though it was after I broke most of my ribs and Petra had both her shoulders dislocated, but at least we stand a chance.

What unnerved me though, was Carnage's new host. It was a female, and I was somewhat a feminist, so that doesn't really make me feel good. But, hey, since she's evil, then it's okay!

-I still feel like I forgot something.- I thought to myself as we finally reached Devils Lake, which weirded me out because of its name. But, after a quick search, it turns out it was because of some translation thing because of how bad the water tasted and the mirage the lake creates. Though I am curious where the HYDRA base was. Mr. Stark still hasn't contacted us about that.

The pilot left the two of us as soon as we got out the Quinjet, not having uttered a single word in the duration of our stay. Nonetheless, we were needed to find Carnage. Through the comms, I asked Mr. Stark, for like, the nth time, "Mr. Stark? You there?"

My previous calls were usually answered by Jarvis, telling us that Mr. Stark went somewhere, and that he didn't give the A.I. any other instructions, so I thought that we'd receive the same answer, but luckily, Mr. Stark finally answered.

Mr.Stark: "Yeah, kid. I'm here. Had to do something earlier. Your mission is now to stall for time. Make sure Carnage, especially her host, stays in place. Someone will come and subdue Carnage's host."

Sitting atop a boulder, I listened to what Mr. Stark said and remained silent. Confused as to who would come. However, I was still happy that we didn't need to defeat Carnage, I really don't want another cracked rib. Fighting her off was one thing, but defeating it is another thing.

Carnage is very unpredictable, its insanity making it hard for us to go against it, especially now that she has a new host. We don't know who her host is, but I do hope that she'd sit down for a cup of coffee with us.

Well anyways, back to the mission.

Tony: "Alright...girls. The facility should be up north of the lake, hidden among the trees. A cliché hiding spot if you ask me. Now go. Carnage should be arriving soon. And remember, just stall for time. 30 minutes at least." he informed us through our comms, and I finally got to say something that I have wanted to say for a long time now.

"Roger, Roger." stifling a giggle, I nudged at Petra and she nodded.

Petra: "Karen. Show me where north is." she called out to her suit's A.I. and for a moment, Petra remained quiet before pointing behind us.

Petra: "That way." as she pointed out the way, we saw something suddenly jump out from the tree line going into the forest. It was only a glimpse, but that blood red color will always make us remember it.

Petra/Me: "CARNAGE!!?" we immediately panicked, and without a second thought, we webbed our way to Carnage as fast as we can, weaving through the trees, swatting away the leaves that would obscure our vision. It didn't take long for the both of us ro reach a cave. We were confused at first, but after confirming it with Mr. Stark through the comms, we found out that it was the entrance.

Since we knew that Carnage was in the cave, or rather, the facility, I had Sara, my suit's A.I., check for signs of life through heat signatures. It was a total shock to see that there weren't anybody else inside the facility other than Carnage. It was either HYDRA left a long, long time ago and abandoned this, or they were here a few days ago and left after finding out about their other bases getting raided.

However, this just made it easier for the both of us since we didn't have to worry about anybody cutting in our fight and distracting us.

"Should we go in after her?" I asked my partner, as she was a better strategist than I was.

Petra: "We don't need to. Karen used echolocation and was able to map out the entire facility. It doesn't  have any other exits other than the entrance itself, so it's easier to just trap her in and wait for however it is who's coming." she explained, and although I marveled at her wits, yet I was still disappointed.

"So...no fighting?" I asked, sadness evident in my voice. Though I didn't want to fight Carnage, I really needed a way to let out my frustrations since Freyja was still-

-Wait! Now I remember!- I screamed to myself as I turned on the comms once more and asked Mr. Stark.

"Mr. Stark! I forgot to ask, but can you please help us find my girlfriend?" I asked him in a rushed tone whilst trying not to sound rude, and thankfully, Mr. Stark didn't think badly about it.

Mr.Stark: "Girlfriend? Wow kid. Didn't think you swing that way, but to each their own I suppose. What happened? Had a fight and she won't talk to you?" he asked me with genuine curiosity after getting surprised, and I immediately felt guilty as I glanced at Petra, and having heard what I asked and us having the same line in the comms, she also had the same look I had.

Embarrassed of what I have done to Freyja, I didn't have it in me to tell Mr. Stark the truth.

"Something like that..." was all that I said, not wanting to go into detail.

Mr.Stark: "Then does said girlfriend has a name?" he asked and I immediately said the name I was too ashamed to call these days, thinking that I didn't deserve to call her.

"Freyja Smile..." I trialed off as I mentioned her name, my heart hurting a bit as I remembered how I was such a bitch to her.

Mr.Stark: "Hmm...Freyja Smile? Why do I feel like I heard that name before... Freyja Smile....shit! Gwen do-" at first, I was confused as to why Mr. Stark sounded familiar with the name, and then he suddenly started to panic when suddenly, "_RRRROOOAAAARRRR_" a demonic roar cut him off.

Looking at the cave, I realized that Carnage was suddenly there! Without realizing, my spider-senses were going haywire but I was too preoccupied to notice it. Letting go of the comms on my ear, I and Petra webbed at a tree and got on it, trying to get an advantage over Carnage.

"Does she know we're here?!" I asked aloud, not knowing if it was by coincidence or Carnage somehow knew we were outside the facility.

Karen: "I believe that Carnage has somehow sensed us when I used echolocation to map out the the facility." she explained and I cursed under my breath, realizing that echolocation needed sound, and Carnage has most likely heard it, even if it wasn't loud.

Petra: "Looks like we're going fight like you wanted." she told me with a tired tone, not looking forward to what's about to happen.

Sara: "You two only need to fight Carnage off for 24 minutes." my A.I. suddenly quipped in and both Petra and I sighef in relief.

"Looks like blocking her in is not an option now." I said as I saw a red figure coming out the cave.

Petra: "Yep. Karen, turn on Instant-Kill mode." my best friend commanded and not even a moment passed when four metal spider legs sprouted from her back.

Petra: "Venom, if you would." then Petra was suddenly covered in black goo before it suddenly turned into a obsidian version of her suit. Seeing this happen, I couldn't help but feel jealous.

"I wish I had a Symbiote." I said aloud and I knew Petra rolled her eyes behind her mask.

Petra: "If you can deal with a voice in your head constantly being annoying then be my guest and take Ven." she said to me in a sarcastic tone, making me giggle, but I suddenly felt guilty as an image of Freyja flashed in my mind. I cheated on Freyja and I saw how heartbroken she was, even when she was smiling the best she could, and yet I was having fun with Petra, the girl I kissed when Freyja was my girlfriend.

I didn't know how, but when Freyja ran away from the scene Petra and I made, she just disappeared. Petra and I dressed in our suits to find her right after we got over our shock, but we just couldn't find her. I just hope Mr. Stark can find her.

Petra: "She's here!" my friend shouted, pulling me away from my thoughts, and I was surprised, as was Petra, when Carnage came out the cave. I didn't know how, or why I thought this, but Carnage somehow looked even more less scary and insane upfront. And though I hate to admit it, Carnage's host had a body that every woman would envy, but oddly enough, I felt that it was familiar.

However, what shocked me most was that Carnage's smile was different. It was more a mischievous/sexy than crazy. Nonetheless, this was Carnage.

No matter how it/he/she looked different, this was still our enemy. So, without a second thought, Petra and I attacked at the same time.
