"SLIGHT ARGUMENT?" "..."

Mama left with Ope and the house was deserted.

Nneka went back there to pick more of her things. After a week latter, Kassim called Toyin begging her to plead with Nneka to forgive him and return home. Toyin: She can't return home just like that. In fact, myself and my husband are already filing for divorce between both of you.

Kazzim: "..."

Toyin: All the these crocodile tears are shedding are like medicine after death. Go and continue to sleep with your sister, you beast."

Toyin insulted him.

"You must be the reason why my friend had not been able to conceive all these years"...

"This is part of the abominations baba talked about the other day. You better go and sort out yourself with

God before it is too late."

Kassim kept sending Nneka text of apology but she never reply to any, on till she get feed up and said...

Nneka: "We didn't divorce but we were not living as husband and wife again until our pastor intervened".

The pastor has called Nneka severally, asking her why he has not seen them in church for sometime. He also had visited their home but met nobody there.

Nneka was afraid to honour his appointment, but Toyin encouraged her to.

A meeting was slated for 10am the next Saturday.

Nneka went with Toyin to see their pastor, on entering into his office, guest who was on the seat?

Kazzem!

Nneka saw Kassim who was already sitted with elder James waiting.

Kazzem's head was buried in shame when he saw his wife and Toyin with their mouth were curve up in disgust.

"Good morning sirs", they greeted pastor and elder James together.

"Good morning my daughters", pastor responded cheerfully.

"You may have your seats", he directed them to sit on the same couch with Kassim but Nneka didn't know when she screamed, "I won't sit with this beast". Immediately, Nneka was given a plastic chair from the church to sit on.

Nneka ensure she positioned her chair in a way their eyes will not set on each other.

Let us pray, pastor instructed, they all bent their heads in prayers. His prayer was short and simple. Pastor: "Brother Kassim what did you say happened between you and your wife that made her left home?"

He kept quiet for minutes until pastor repeated the question again. He sluggishly stood up and said "we had a slight argument and since I have been apologizing for her forgiveness she refused to listen". "Please pastor help me beg her that I am truly sorry".

Pastor looked at Nneka, Nneka looked at Toyin in return with disbelieve.

Pastor: "To err is human and to forgive is divine. The scripture(Bible) admonishes everyone to forgive one selves of their offences so that their father in heaven can forgive them...

Pastor continued his sermon of forgiveness as Nneka sat down dumbfounded. "So he didn't tell the pastor

the truth."

"Slight argument!?" "..."

Nneka was so angry like she should walk out of the pastor and the elder, but they are both old enough to be her father so she controlled her temper.

Nneka: "Sir, I want to leave until Kassim is willing to say the truth."

Before pastor opened his mouth to say

anything, Nneka had carried her bag and dragged Toyin by her hand, as they headed towards the door.

The pastor called out, "My daughters, please don't go, let us not give room to the devil", the pastor begged, but all fells on deaf ears.

Nneka became more angry than before. Kassim's pretence and lies made her more sick than what he did to his sister. she felt like killing him when the pastor called him brother Kassim. Nneka wished the pastor knew what he has done.

Nneka started attending Toyin's church but she tried to avoid baba(their pastor) because of their unfinished deal with him.

Even with Toyin around, she felt very empty outside because of her matrimonial home. She started giving

attention to guys that were coming close her way, just for friendship so she could get my mind off her predicament.

Those friendships didn't last because they were all after my honeypot.

Nneka vowed never to thread that path no matter the loneliness.

The picture of what happened between her

and prophet Ade still hunts her conscience.

Nneka knew was married but fill single. Her life was miserable and she became a shadow of herself. Nothing interests Nneka anymore. She abandoned most of her projects because of lack of concentration.

But something was about to happen that leeds to more of Kazzem's secret of the abominable things.

watch out for next chapter.
