Chapter 12: The twelfth Step

After an hour of walking I arrived at the temple, broken down it was it could maybe not even be called a temple as in its time it was much more grandiose then it was now. I could see now why the bandits had chosen to reside here it was covered in nature and the temple itself still stood with its wooden doors even still it had outer walls and inner walls, throughout these some lookouts armed with bows were on station on makeshift towers built from wood in attempt to alert the others if it came down to someone coming across this place. Even though I was quite an obvious target with my white hair I had made sure to change into a black Ronin uniform and black jingasa to hide my hair and form. I could see clearly that people were indeed living here as some makeshift patches were done throughout the broken bits of the wall in attempt to make it more of an impenetrable fortress. But it wasn't, there were still many holes throughout this temple and one was large enough for me. I entered through and snuck around it for a bit, after an hour or so I had come to the conclusion that there where at least ten outside 3 of which were on lookout 2 were sleeping, 5 were gathered around a fire. I proceeded to dispatch the lookouts as they would be the ones that would annoy me most with they're bows if it did come down to a fight I did this by using one of the abilities that Kitsune could do. Kitsune was able to change his sword form to any other weapon and not only that but since he was linked to my own soul I could call him back if I were to lets-say throw him somewhere, we called this soul link and demonic change. I used demonic change to change kitsune into throwing knifes after which I threw them directed at the lookout's necks each of them struck true and I watched them flop down to makeshift towers floor board. After this I killed the two sleepers and proceeded to figure out how to kill the five.

"change me into a spear" Kitsune said "and let me take over your body"

"what we can do that?" I said "how"

"I just need your permission" he said

"ok" I said and so I let him it felt as if I lost control as I was sent to a dark area in my mind where I could watch as Kitsune worked his magic.
