The game was 18-3 and Kise was irritated. He had gone full throttle at the start to intimidate the team, but it didn't work. He had dug a hole for his team and he wasn't sure how to get out of it. Kise's thoughts were clouded. It wasn't as if he couldn't play basketball without copying. But when that idea popped into his head, he thought about how they could already defend against the Generation of Miracles' moves and that he stood no chance. A tear rolled down his face and to the polished court floor. Kise began to sob. "I'm sorry," He said, "Sorry senpai. I can't take you guys to the finals anymore.". He looked hysterical. Once he recovered, he still looked sullen but he could play. He started to dribble but he lost possession. Seiho was advancing until they passed to Yoshikazu Omuro, their power forward. He ran for a bit and then fell. It turned out that he had slipped on Kise's tears. Well, Kaijo took the opportunity. Mitsuhiro Hayakawa stole the ball and shot a two-pointer and scored. Seiho lost their momentum and Kaijo just gained theirs.
Kaijo took their opportunity and started to score. As they gained momentum, the flow of the game started to shift in Kaijo's favor. The gap slowly closed. From 18-3 to 18-5 to 18-8, Haijo had just gained five points and were ready to take more. As Kaijo gained momentum, Seiho started to lose theirs. Their plays were abated and their defense was broken. A few minutes later, the referee blew the whistle. None of the teams had fouled so they were confused. He said that he spotted some liquid where Omuro slipped. Those were Kise's tears. He said that Seiho was getting two free throws because it wasn't their fault. So they got their shooting guard, Tomoki Tsugawa, and took the first shot. Right before the shot, Tsugawa did his newly learned, special pre-shot routine.
[
Some of the best, and worst, basketballers in the world have rituals they follow before every single shot they take. This is called the pre-shot routine. The basic premise of the routine is to get yourself into the mindset to throw the ball as you want.
]
Tsugawa took his first shot. *swish*. The ball went in swiftly. As he got ready to do his pre-shot routine, and he bounced the ball a few times. As he was about to shoot, a fly went in his face. He got distracted as he was taking his shot and he missed his shot. Luck was on Kaijo's side. Mitsuhiro Hayakawa, Kaijo's power forward does his power rebound and gets the ball. He powers through everyone on the court and scored. He started to score some more. He was in a good place and unstoppable. He had power and Seiho had defense. It was now a matter of who was stronger. Well, Seiho was. They were able to use their martial arts skills and overpower Kaijo in stamina. The score was 47-29 to Seiho. Seiho was abominable. They had victory in their grasp when Kise became Aomine. He knew what Seiho could do so he didn't do any special moves.
Kise used Aomine's playing style as if it was his own. He dribbled as if he was on the streets and he had the same expression as Aomine did. Slowly, He started to be able to play like the other Generation of Miracles did. Seiho had forgotten the moves. He was more cautious now. He wasn't using any flashy moves such as Thor's Hammer or High Projectile Threes. He just used the playing style like Murasakibara's intimidation and Akashi's Ankle Breaker. Just as he brought Kaijo down, Kise pulled them back up. Kaijo had a chance of winning. But that was all false. Seiho had built a trap so that they could drop their guard. They pretended as if they were losing but they weren't. They picked up on a falter Kaijo had and decided to just keep possession since they were already leading. So they used a special skill that they had recently learned. It was called Birdcage Style where they passed the ball around in a hexagonal pattern so that they could keep possession. 00:03, 00:02, 00:01, 00:00. Seiho won 47-45. They let out a loud shout, and though the fans were angry about their underhanded tactics, they wanted to get revenge on the HBI and as long as they didn't cheat, they didn't care how. They were going to win.
