Chapter 17

'What just happened?' Ling Jian's mind is in a state of shock. She can't understand what just happened now, she only saw the vice sect master got shot like a cannonball backward. Ling Jian turns to elder Ya for answers, but her expression is just the same. Neither of them saw Yuki throwing the punch, even the vice sect master Chen who is a heavenly realm practitioner only saw a blur so how could they?

Meanwhile, elder Chi who is standing at a different place has her wide open. 'I knew elder sister was strong but this is..' she doesn't have words for it. Elder Chi had known to some extent that Yuki is insanely strong ever since she saw Yuki giving her guidance that day, but to send a heavenly realm master flying is just something else. Like elder Ya and Ling Jian, she also didn't see Yuki punching the vice sect master, but she completely believes it's her.

'What speed and power? I couldn't even see her. She only punched me once, if she threw a barrage like me, then?' the thinking of that possibility left the vice sect master sweating and terrified. Yuki is just standing there giving him full time to get his breath. In a fight, no one would want to waste an opportunity like this, when your opponent is disoriented and in a state of shock. "I guess you weren't kidding earlier," vice sect master Chen says to Yuki. When Yuki earlier said she could defeat him in a few minutes, he sneered and believed it to be nothing but big talk. But taking that one punch changed his opinion.

"I told you, it's the truth. Didn't I?" Yuki smilingly replies

Her answer left him a little dejected, but he shakes it off his mind. He has years of experience in his pocket after all. He then takes a deep breath and says to Yuki

"I can't win against you by ordinary means, so I'll be using my domain now," vice sect master says

"Go ahead" Yuki casually says

The next moment, white light comes out of his body and starts to spread around him rapidly. Within a few moments, it covers the entire field. Vice sect master Chen looks at Yuki, the cornea of his eyes have gone completely white. He raises a hand and hundreds of swords form in the sky, or it would be more accurate to say, that his sword intent has formed hundreds of swords. All of them are shining with a fierce glint.

"I told them it's a friendly fight, then why the hell is he using his domain?" Ling Jian angry says while turning to elder Ya 'I must stop this' but without even waiting for elder Ya to respond, Ling Jian decides to shut this fight. But as soon as she moves she is stopped by elder Ya.

"What are you doing elder sister?" Ling Jian says in a somewhat angry manner.

"Sect master, look at ancestor" elder Ya calmly answers.

On hearing her voice, Ling Jian looks towards Yuki and she is shocked by what she sees. The person in question is actually admiring and smiling looking at the terrifying swords in the sky.

"Ancestor is smiling, it means she is not afraid. I think ancestor can handle this" elder Ya explains her reasoning

'she really is smiling, I'll wait for now but if it gets any dangerous, I'll immediately stop this' Ling Jian thinks to herself after seeing Yuki and listening to elder Ya's reasoning. But she still looks somewhat uneasy. Elder Chi on the other hand is terrified looking at those terrifying swords, she is biting her lips while making a face that would cry at any moment. While thinking in her mind 'elder sister please be safe' she stays put. Maybe it's her maturity or her belief in Yuki, but whatever it is, it's making her stay.

Vice sect master drops his hand.

SFX Bam

The hundreds of swords launch towards Yuki. She instantly pulls her katana out and moves, the ground where she was standing earlier has turned into sieves. Her speed is on full display at the moment, leaving after images wherever she moves. But this time vice sect master can somehow follow her movements, it's not every detail but he can see her moving in certain directions.

There are so many swords that Yuki has to fend off some using her katana. She stops after a few seconds as there are no more swords in the sky. The attack only took a few seconds, but anyone at the receiving end of it probably won't have a good time.

"This is called rain of swords" vice sect master calmly tells

"It's a good technique" Yuki casually responds

"Good technique" the vice sect master chuckles "if it was any other person, he would have either be dead or heavily injured but you are still fine, not a single sword could get you."

"It's no big deal" Yuki nonchalantly responds.

"but that was one wave, how many waves do you think you could last?" he asks a question, and again raises his hand, this time, there are thousands of swords in the sky.

Yuki looks up at those thousand of swords and says

"Since you are showing me such cool moves, it would be disrespectful for me, if I don't show you something cool as well"

Vice sect master is a bit surprised by her words, but he doesn't let it show on his face 'cool move? it will crumble in front of my technique' while thinking that he says.

"let's see if your cool move can defeat mine" vice sect master drops his hands and the volley of swords descends towards Yuki, but this time she doesn't move, looking at thousands of swords coming at her. Her face is as calm as one can be, she then says in a low voice "The wrath of heaven" and makes a horizontal slash.

SFX Zhing

A huge gust of wind blows and a clear shattering sound reverberates. The thousands of swords that were coming at her shatters like glass, even the trees at the boundary of the fields that were in the direction of her strike have snapped in half. Vice sect master is shocked beyond words, his eyes are gawking at Yuki. 'what the hell happened?' his mind is in complete disarray. Meanwhile, elder Ya, Ling Jian, and elder Chi have their eyes popping out. They can't process what the hell happened.

"Do you have any other moves or do you want to give up?" Yuki casually asks the vice sect master.

"I..." vice sect master couldn't say anything.

"Can't make up your mind, let me help you" Yuki says and makes a vertical slash.

SFX Zhing

Before the vice sect master could even process what Yuki said, a monstrously sharp sword intent goes past him. All his hairs are standing on end. He slowly turns his head at his side and what he notices terrifies him. There is a long gash on the ground from where Yuki stood, going all the way to the boundary of the fields. He subconsciously takes a gulp.

'If that was to hit me, I'd be ...' He knows if that had hit him, he'd be split in half like a log of wood, and that realization left him trembling. He moves his head to look at the beautiful girl before him, who is completely carefree, but he could feel the terror that's emanating from her. And it's been a long time since he felt this terror.

"I surrender," vice sect master Chen says in a low voice

"That was a good fight, let's do it some other day" Yuki smilingly says.

'Fight you again? I am not an idiot and I value my life' He makes an awkward smile and leaves the field.
