Chapter 18

"What do you think, elder sister Ya?" Ling Jian asks while sitting on her throne.

"Certain death" elder Ya pauses for a moment. She then looks directly at Ling Jian's eyes, her expression as serious as it can be "If ancestor had aimed that strike at vice sect master, he'd be dead."

Ling Jian and elder Ya are currently in the throne room. Ling Jian is sitting on the throne, while elder Ya is standing in front of her. After the fight, Yuki went to the library as she had nothing to do. Even though Ling Jian and the others were surprised and wanted to ask a bunch of questions, they decided to do it some other time.

"Are you sure?" Ling Jian asks again. Even though she knows it herself deep in her mind, she decides to ask it one more time.

"Yes," elder Ya affirms it. Ling Jian closes her eyes after hearing her answer. She seems to be contemplating something.

After a few moments, Ling Jian opens her eyes and asks elder Ya

"Can you produce that sword strike?"

"I can't." elder Ya instantly answers. She also adds " and I think ancestor was pulling her punches as well"

"I feel the same, and on top of it all off, she didn't even use her domain." Ling Jian sighingly says.

The domain is the defining characteristic of a heavenly realm master. When someone activates his or her domain, that person can use a significant power in the area of the domain. Vice sect master Chen could have used his 'rain of swords' without using his domain, but instead of countless swords, it would only be a hundred swords at best, and that too with a decrease in power. People usually start consolidating their domains in the sky realm, and when it is fully consolidated, their cultivation moves to the heavenly realm.

Her answer left elder Ya going deep in thought. And there was one question that was raging in both of their minds and that was what would have happened if she used her domain?

"Little Chi, now we'll be going together," Yuki says with a smile

"Yes," elder Chi cheerfully replies. Both of them are currently sitting in the library, elder Chi came along with Yuki after the fight. The sun still hasn't reached its peak, and as such morning rays are pouring in from the window. And these rays are falling on Yuki's face making it look even more beautiful. Elder Chi who is sitting in front of Yuki is getting a bit mesmerized by this.

Ever since she saw Yuki win the fight, elder Chi has been in a good mood. Her initial shock was soon replaced by relief and some sort of happiness.

"Elder sister, can you tell me something?" elder Chi smilingly asks

"Sure, go ahead" Yuki replies

"What was that sword move you used?" Elder chi asked, which has been on her mind ever since she saw it, even though she has been an elder of the sect, she never came across anything like that.

Elder Chi then hastily adds "You don't have to tell me if its secr.." but before she could complete her sentence, Yuki cuts her off

"It's no secret and even if it is, I won't mind telling you," Yuki says

Elder Chi who wasn't expecting this answer doesn't know how to respond to this, and as such, she becomes a bit embarrassed, tongue-tied, and starts fidgeting. She's also feeling a little bit of happiness deep down inside. Yuki just smiles on watching her expression.

"That move is called Wrath of the heavens." Yuki explains "It's the first and the easiest move among the three moves used by the founder of this sect." Yuki's voice brings elder Chi out of her spell, but she is even more surprised by what Yuki said.

'that was the easiest move! Wait, elder sister said founder, does that mean' elder Chi's mind is stunned by thinking about the possibility.

"And by founder, I mean Sword God Jian" Yuki replies as if she could hear what's going in her mind.

"Sword god Jian" elder Chi screams and stands up from her chair, as she is shocked beyond words. But she soon becomes embarrassed and instantly sits down and looks left and right, but no one is there.

"I am sorry, I overreacted," elder Chi says in a quiet tone while looking down.

"It's fine" Yuki casually says

Well, it can't really be blamed on elder Chi, because anyone else would do the same. Because who was Sword God Jian? he was one of the important people who had fought the war of liberation against the dark creatures. Not only that he was also the most talented swordsman the world had ever seen. It's not like there weren't other swordsmen, but no one could match him before or after his death. His name carries a lot of weight and elder Chi knows this too.

'Why does elder sister knows the moves used by the sword god? even sect master doesn't know them' elder shi was feeling incredulous in her mind, and as such, she decides to ask Yuki about it.

"Elder sister, how do you know this?"

"My master taught me this, and unfortunately I can't tell you about my master" Yuki replies.

'master, if elder sister's master could teach a move used by the sword God himself, then that person must clearly be a big shot' this thought was going in her mind.

But little did she know that the master she was talking about was none other than the sword God Jian himself. Yuki had spent a lot of time with sword god Jian as he was very close to her father. He had taught almost everything he knew to Yuki but disclosing that information wouldn't be good.

Elder Chi decides to let it go and doesn't ask anything about that topic, they talk about other few things related to the upcoming celebration. After a while, elder Chi says farewell to Yuki and leaves. Yuki spends the remaining day in the library and leaves only at night for dinner.
