Chapter 9 Hells Invitation

As I stood there with Lucian's throat in my hand I knew that teleporting for a sneak attack was no use, Nerom had an ability to appear and dissapear at any moment. I had no other choice I had to give Lucian to him, I hated the idea of giving this maniac back his freedom. To be honest there is nothing I would love to do more then choking the bastard for good but that would mean that Jérome, Mikael and Anya would die with them and who know who would die after that.

At that point I stared at Nerom full of hate I let Lucian go and kicked him in the eye and towards Nerom. Nerom caught Lucian and smiled at me thanking me for the co-operation.

"If you go North from here you wil find the Eternal war at its worst of this layer, pass that and keep going north and you will find us.

If you want you can fight us there." Nerom said in an omnious yet inviting tone. Yet if "The Dark Queen" returns to this layer we will head to the portal and kill her, I guess at this point that is the only thing we have in common" He said with a smile.

After that he dissapeared with Lucian. I went to see how Mikael and Jérome were doing thay were okay but needed rest. The anger was stil inside me so I turned around and aimed it all at the mountain, as I opened my hand aiming at the mountain I trapped it inside my void power, and as it clench my palm into a fist the mountain imploded after the which the lab exploded.

The rubble of the mountain still in my void was the turned to gravel.

I released that yet I was not satisfied, we returned to camp and stayed there so everyone could rest that night I told everyone about my plan.

We were to go through the eternal battlefield, ending it in the process and the we were to face Lucian and Nerom and after that we would go to the portal, everyone who did not have the guts to follow could go home now.

Katherina, Anya, Maelith and Aegrith were the first to agree on that plan, and after that the soldiers followed at night Jérome and Mikael came to me to tell me they heard of the plan, they called me crazy and then said they would also go with me. The next day we made our way to the eternal battlefield. as we could sense it we set up camp. Anya and Katherina would stay here guarded by fivehundred men the would heal everyone who would get hurt.

I took fivehundred men and became "Division Alpha" Mikael got fivehundred men and became "Division Beta" Jérome got fivehundred men and became "Division Delta"

Maelith and Aegrith took a thousand men and would have the other division's back under the name "Division Charlie".

With my division in the center, Jérome's division right from me and Mikael's division left of me we gave the order to march and in perfect unison every division marched towards the eternal battlefield.

Mikael and Jérome were in the front of their division by their own choice, Maelith Aegrith and I were behind our division.

As we closed in on the battlefield we could not see where the eternal war began and where it ended yet we had to break through somewhere, both objectives were on the other side.

Marching towards the war even more they finally spotted us and some division broke of to attack us. Every enemy that came at Division Delta was met by what once was Jérome's cat like griffin had now become a sphinx.

The sphinx tore apart complete divisions and those that got past it were met by the Delta division for an easy kill.

On Mikael side they were met with the Lightning Barrage those who got through were also split up and would fall prey to Division Beta.

As for those stupid enough to challenge our center they were met by a ball of void that appeared out of no where and then dissapeared taking everyone in or even touching it, leaving the rest for an easy kill for my men.

As we left a few bodies behind while again marching towards the battlefield we had made some enemies.

now compleet armies came our way.

this wave of enemies was met with Mikaels Lightning wall putting a hold to their charge, those hit by it immediately died as their armor turned to dust.

As Mikael gave a signal that the wall would end, everybody stood ready to charge.

"Now!!" Mikael screamed and everyone charged. this battle turned chaotic very fast, Jérome's sphinx started out as a great help but as positioning of both side entwined, his use got less so Jérome came up with a new use for it.

He slammed his morningstar in an enemies body and then summoned his sphinx just until the sphinx would burst out of the enemy then Jérome would undo the summon just to repeat the process over and over.

Mikael would just seek out an ongoing battle grab the enemy from behind amd let lightning come down on him.

As for me, I teleported behind an enemy to either grab a secondary weapon from that enemy to kill him with that or just break his neck.

Eventually their commanders sought us out.

Mikael was up against a commander who dual wields 2 daggers from which he apparently control the elements of "Fire" and "Earth".

Jérome was up against someone who could go up in water and use it to attack and he could freeze it.

I was up against someone who could go up in air and had the element of "Lightning"

Mikael's fight was going both ways the whole time as they both dodged each others attacks while countering yet the diffrence was where Mikael's attacks killed the enemies surrounding them his opponent could only wound or slightly burn our troops as everyone of our side knew to be careful around Mikael's lightning, jumping away with each flash.

At Jérome's fight it was another stalemate as Jérome's sphinx went up against the commander who changed between being made out of water or ice, depending if he was attacking or defending.

As for me as I fought the lightning user up close while keeping my sense up, any sense of magic would make me react, causing alot of little sparks to distract me, Being pretty sure this guy did not have the same ability as Mikael, yet those sparks were annoying.

as I tried to sharpen my senses in the battle my enemy noticed what I was doing and tried to get some distance. Using my teleport ability I got behind him but he noticed. He jumped away sending his men to leap at me while he tried to gain distance. In that moment a flash of lightning came down and Mikael jumped above me taking the hit, absoring most of it his hair turned slightly grey again.

We made use of that moment to switch opponents. Mikael now had a sure win against a fellow lightning user and I was up again the commander with elemental daggers.

Jerome looked at us and smiled this was now our victory, me and Jérome would only have to hold out until Mikael was done.

Mikael smiled and carelessly charged at his opponent pounding anyone daring to come in between. His opponent tried to counter the incoming young man by dodging him in the last second. The moment he dodged him he saw Mikael still looking at him as both send a lightning barrage on the other, Mikael used this opportunity to grab his opponent connecting the lightning barrages.

after the barrages ended Mikael was the only one standing, with his hair now mostly grey.

Meanwhile Jérome was enjoying his opponent trying to pound his enemy with his morningstar as his sphix kept him occupied and I was just doding any attack that came my way.

After Mikael had finished his fight he made his way to Jérome, as I tried to get my fight closer to Jérome as well.

Once Mikael was close to Jérome's fight his enemy wanted to flee, as he told his troops to retreat I teleported behind him. He turned around trying to punch me as I just jumped up to dodge his fist, I put my hand on his head and said Ultimate Techinique: Brainjacker.

landing behind him with his brain in my hand. That was Jérome's signal he came charging in kicking the mindless body through the air as he screamed that retreating was not manly.

the last commander just screamed and ran away leaving his daggers and his men behind, just to be crushed by Jérome's sphinx.

I dropped the brains and gave Jérome, Mikael and the soldiers one last command to kill everyone here after that I teleported to Anya.

two hours later divisions Alpha, Beta and Delta made their way back, I was called to the entrance just to see the incoming troops led

by Mikael and Jérome who seemed to have bonded even more during the past killing spree. Jérome was also holding the fire and Earth elemental daggers. As they came in Jérome said "Look at this" as he conjured both Fireballs and big pebbles out of the tip of his sword.

"Guess we now know you three elements" I said smiling.

"Wait three is the maximum that you can have?" he asked surprised

"According to the twins yes" I answered.

Meanwhile all the wounded reported themself at Anya or Katherina.

That night we stood ground at the place where Anya an Katherina had put up camp as I enjoyed the night drinking with Jérome and Mikael, While Anya and Katherina healed the last of the wounded. After that both them and Maelith and Aegrith join us...
