Requiem’s Awakening

Everything was black, I was a failure. all those years spent trying to find my friend's killer... all of it, wasted.

"Oliver..." The Dark Voice appeared again, "You mustn't give up now." The voice said to me, "What's the point, Grin won, It's all over." I depressingly said to the voice, "Now that isn't the right mindset you should be in Oliver, there is still hope.", hope? that's all I ever thought about was hope and yet it always failed me. "No, I'm done, I can't do this anymore." I said as I could feel my soul begin to float away as I could see a light above me, "No." The voice said as it grabbed me, "Look at me Oliver, when I say there is still hope I mean it." The voice said as it pulled me back from the light, "It appears you're too weak at the moment to save them but there is still hope." The Voice said, "Don't worry, I won't let that monster you hurt anyone anymore!" It said courageously, "All you need to do is say my name." It continued to say but I was hesitate "I can't, Its over, he won." I said to the voice, "Say my name Oliver! Say my name to unleash your true rage upon the monster that broke you!" It began to yell out, "Wake up Oliver!, Release your rage and save your Friends!" It yelled out even more, "All you have to do is say my name." it say quietly, "Wake up." The voice whispered in my ear.

My eyes were open, I felt alive, full with energy, I could see Grin about to harm Lily, "now to rid the world of it's last heroes." He said as he was about to shoot Lily, she was balled up in fear ready for the gunshot but looked over to me with her eyes wide open, she looked joyous that I was standing again, Grin turns around to see me, he looked terrified, "Requiem!" I yell as loud as possible, a large blast of darkness came from me as a being appeared behind me, it was a full body shadow being with large horns, I look to see Atom reappearing, "Oliver?... oh my lord you've awakened a Shadow power?!" He yelled out in surprise, I began to stomp towards Grin, he was scared, Grin tried to run away but luckily Lily threw a heavy textbook at Grin which knocked him to the ground, I look down at Grin and pick him up by his shirt, The shadow being known as Requiem began to talk to me, "I am Requiem, The Rage that was built up inside you that has now turned into a physical manifestation, now then, With my Strength and Oliver's rage we can get our revenge on the one that left us broken for years, Show no mercy Oliver!" Requiem yells to me, I began to ball my hand into a fist, "UNLEASH YOUR ANGER UPON THIS CRUEL WORLD AND FINISH THIS FIGHT!" Requiem yells out as I punched Grin so hard that he flew back and broke multiple walls and landing outside.

"Rawr!!" Requiem and I cried out with sheer rage, "Oliver?" Lily worryingly said, the rage inside me must've taken over my mind causing me to lose touch with what was around me, "Requiem Recall!" I ordered at Requiem, "Yes master." He said as he disappeared, don't worry guys it- it's all good-" I said before collapsing to the ground, blood once again to flow out of my wound, "Oliver!" Lily and Atom cried out as they rushed to my side, I have such great friends.

-Lily's POV-

"I can sense a pulse but it's really slow." I informed Atom, Lily quickly grab a stapler from a teacher's desk and hand it to me" Atom ordered me, "Alright" I replied as I went into a classroom and grabbed a stapler, "here you go." I said as I gave him the stapler, "Alright you might want to look away." He said as I turned away, "Kachunk, Kachunk, Kachunk, Kachunk." The stapler sounded, "Alright that should stop the wound but not for long." Atom informed me, "What about Grin Scruvy." I asked, "We'll worry about him later, right now Oliver's life is the priority." He told me, "Now help me grab Oliver." He asked of me in which I immediately grabbed him, "Alright lets get going outside." Atom said as we began to rush towards the exit, I really hope Oliver is saved.

"Lily!" Sophia yelled out as we came out the front entrance, "Oh my." She said as we carried Oliver, "Sophia we need help." I asked her, "I'm not a doctor." Sophia said to me, "Not that kind of help we need to get Oliver to a hospital." I said to her, "Sorry about that, I heard that there's a hospital taking in students and pedestrians who were attacked by the gang members." She informed me, "Alright get your car ready." I told her, "I don't want blood on the leather-" She said before I yelled at her, "Sophia!" I scolded at her, "Right I'm sorry give me a minute." She apologized as she headed to the parking lot, vrooom! her car pulled up the front entrance, "Alright lets get going!" Sophia said as she unlocked the doors, we quickly put Oliver in the backseat and quickly entered Sophia's car.

"So what happened to him?" Sophia asked, "We were fighting Grin Scurvy-" I was saying before Sophia interrupted me, "Wait THE Grin Scurvy, one of the bosses of Apex Grin Scurvy?" Sophia questioned us in a shocked tone, "Yes, Oliver and Grin were fighting and as they fought Grin must've used his prothetic hand to stab Oliver in his stomach causing him to bleed a lot." I informed her on the details, "What happened to Grin?" She asked, "Well Oliver woke up like nothing happened and punched Grin so hard he flew through so many walls that he landed outside the school but we didn't have time to check if he was alive or not." I said to Sophia, "I see." She said.

We finally arrived at the Hospital where a couple of paramedics on break saw us, "Hey we need some help here!" I yelled at them, the two paramedics ran towards Oliver and quickly got him on a gurney and rushed him inside, we quickly followed them too, into the ER room. "I'm sorry kids but you're gonna need to wait out here while we perform medical aid on your friend." A nurse informed us, the three of us were worried for Oliver's life hoping he would come back to us.

The next morning, Atom, Sophia and I stayed in the ER waiting for some good news and it came, a nurse came up to me, "You're friend is safe and is ready to go but he's still unconscious so I recommend you let him lay down somewhere once you take him home, after that we followed the ambulance to my house and they laid Oliver on my couch, "Be careful with his wound, It's still healing." The paramedic informed me as he left my house, "I'm guessing that you somehow got Oliver healed up and back to Lily's home?" Sophia asked Atom, "What do you mean?" Atom asked, "Well it'd take months now for Oliver to fully heal and get discharged from the hospital but all it took was a day, I'm guessing you took control of the doctors and nurses there and got Oliver out within a day?" Sophia explained everything, "Damn you're good, yeah I got Oliver out as I didn't want him to be stuck in there for too long, especially with him not knowing the fate of Grin Scurvy." Atom said, "hmm, well then I have to go now, My parents are probably really worried about me now." Sophia said as she left my home, "Bye now!" I said waving at her, "Well then, guess it's time to take care of Oliver until he wakes up." I said to myself and Atom, Thank god Oliver is safe, I will take good care of him until he's fully healed.
