chapter eight shopping with Betty

The following day been Sunday and added to the fact that she slept really late. She did not notice when her alarm rang she only wake up to the ring of her phone. She search for the phone without opening her eyes until she find it on the small stool beside her bed. She picked it up and place the phone on her ear without opening her eyes.

" Hello! Hello! who is this?" she asked when she heard nothing from the other person. She looked at the screen of her phone to check who the caller was. She see that its ordinary number. who could be calling her.

"Who is this? "she asked again this time with irritation, she could hear the breathing from that person which shows he or she just keep silent deliberately. "If you don't have anything tangible to do with your time, why disturb my beauty sleep? "again silent follows. "Hello Mr. look at my number don't call me ever in your life, you this miserable wretched fellow." she angrily hung up the call without given the other person the chance to talk.

(Meanwhile on the other end the person that call her has a pleasing smile on his face just hearing her voice alone even if she cursed him, he is still happy after she called him a wretched fellow. He smiled brightly looking pleased).

Susan look at the time on her phone, she sigh when she noticed its 11:00 already, why could she wake up so late and no one wake her up for breakfast...

Growl..... the growling of her stomach remind her of what happened last night, now she knows why nobody came to wake her up like they usually did, at least she has the peace she wanted, thou she paid the price with her stomach.

She stood up begrudgingly from the bed. She is still feeling sleeping but she needed to attend to her stomach and head out with her friend. Talking of Betty she need to call her but she needed to urinate first. She rushed into the bathroom to attend to her business.

After she is done, she doll herself up with black sleeveless chiffon top and blue skinny jeans with white sneakers,light make up and black backpack. She went down to the living room. While she is lacing her sneaker she noticed she did not see anybody around, every where is quiet. she called out to one of the maid

" Josephine ! Josephine! Jose.... she raised up her head to see her leaping toward to her Josephine what the hell is wrong with you are you deaf or something? do you enjoy the way I kept shouting your name as if you are death before you answer me. if you know you are tired of working why can't you take you your low life away from this place and give room for more serious people." She shouted at Josephine.

Josephine stood at the corner with her head lowered, she so much loathe this girl to the bone right now but what can she do?. Her family still pay well compare to other family she has once worked for also her family is extremely nice to her. she conceal her displeasure when she remembered all the good deed she has enjoy from this devil's parent. She apologize to her thorough gritted teeth, "young miss am sorry, I was in the garden when you called." is there anything you need?

(she asked while cursing her in her mind for the pain she is pass through now. Her leg stings from pain caused by the hot soup last night, yet she did not even apologize, she hissed, what did she expect from this devil incarnation any way she thought inwardly)

"Sorry for yourself, I don't need your apology. Anyway where is my mother?" she asked coldly without looking in her direction.

"Madam is in her room, taking nap, young miss."

"OK, tell her I will be heading out with Betty later." you can go she dismiss the maid

"Thank you ma, but your friend is already waiting for you outside and your breakfast has been served. " Josephine reply

"Josephine or what is your name? why are you so stupid? can't you inform me early that my friend is here? " She yell again.

Josephine decided to keep quiet. She knows no matter what she says she will be blamed as always.

" Alright, tell her I will join in a jiffy,p." she said walking away to the dining hall.

Josephine leap out of the sitting room with so much pain to deliver the message to Betty.

Ten minute later, Susan came out to meet her friend and apologize to her for been late. Betty only smile at her. she is already used to her behavior there is nothing new about that. They hop into her car with her bodyguard driving out of the mansion.

The two are talking happily at the back seat until they reach the shopping mall. Since today is Sunday the mall is a little bit crowded. They made their way to the ladies section to look at the latest gown and to purchase some office wear as a heiress she need to dress in a unique way so that she will stand out among the rest.

While looking through different section for different type of cloth Susan caught sight of a beautiful Versace knee length brown gown with the front part adorn with diamond.

The gown is so beautiful that she did not hesitate to chose it " Betty look at this beautiful piece, its so lovely ." she picked it up to show her friend, in fact it will look so good on me or what do you think?.

"wahoo! you have a good sight for cloth, this is super unique Sussy! I love it already." Betty said while admiring the cloth. "Can I get one too, its lovely."

Susan beamed at her friend, she turn around to beckoned on one of the shop attendance " hello miss, can we get two of this cloth but different colour?" she asked.

"So sorry ma, this gown is the only available right now and this piece has already been paid for by one of our VVIPs. "

"What!!! "Betty and Susan shout in unison

" Lady, what do you mean it has been paid for?" Susan asked angrily

when Betty heard her friend's tone, she knows she is angry " its alright, we will just check another one" she signal for Susan to return the cloth but the latter refuse.

"Betty, look am not choosing another one. how can I drop the cloth that I choose first. If it has been paid for what is it doing here on your rack? why can't you pack and send it to the owner why leave it there, so since I chose it now I will pay for it and there is nothing anybody can do about that."

Betty sigh, before she moved closer to her friend to pacify her " Sussy, its just this,we can still see a better one. There is no need to argue on this, if it has not been paid for I believe she will be willing to sell it for you. she must be following order, please let it be."

The attendance was in a dilemma on what to do. (Truly, she has been informed before now to pack it but she has totally forgotten because she was attending to many people at that time. Now this rich brat want the cloth at all cost, she did not know what to do. she is grateful for her friend that is persuading her to let go but she is hell bent on getting it, what kind of problem is this now, she said to herself).

"Thank you miss for understanding." the attendance faced Betty.

"OK, she is the one that has better understanding right! so you are telling me that I lack common understanding for little thing? are you insulting me, lady? "Susan yelled at the attendance.

"No Ma'am,(she turn to Susan) that is not what i mean, i don't even have the gall to insult you." she said gently with a smile.

"Do you know lady, that I can buy everything in this shop and even make your life miserable?. since you said I don't have understanding, so let it be." I want this cloth right now and you can't stop me." Susan turn around

"ma,you are right when you said it not suppose to be on the rack, it was my mistake just now. please chose another one ma. I will even help you to get discount, please ma." The attendance pleaded looking at Betty for help.

"Susan, please let it go, don't let us make it difficult for her and she has pleaded that it was her mistake. Let chose another one." Betty that has been silent also plead on the the attendance behalf.

"Betty please, she said raising her hand to stop her from talking, just shut it Betty! don't meddle in this! you are here when she said I don't have understanding and she praised you did you say anything? no! she is talking to you as if you will be the one to even paid for everything you chose, so please if you can not stand by me just shut up. " She said to Betty.

people that has already gather around them just look at Susan with wide mouth on hearing the way she ridicule her friend that is trying to help. They all dispatch leaving her alone to continue her madness, now they know she is very unreasonable.

They attendance opened her mouth to say something but she closed it when she sees how the person who is helping her out of the situation was embarrassed.

Betty was so embarrassed by what her friend said, she just quiet my leave the scene without uttering any word.

She manager that has got wind of what is going on, came running from his office to settle the commotion.

"What is going on here?" the manager demanded from the attendance.

"Sir, am so sorry. It was my mistake I forgot the brown gown you asked me to pack for Miss Evelyn. it was chosen by this miss...."she said pointing at Susan".... .I told her it has been paid for but she refuse to let it go saying she will pay for it, I has been begging her please help me to beg her to chose another one. "

"miss, we are sorry ....."

The sound of slap make everyone including the manager to stop and look a over to there side, when they see the attendance clutching her cheek with tears streaming down her face.

"Why....what...d...id...I do?" the attendance look at the manager as if asking what him what she has done back at Susan.

"You are asking me what you have done? that slap is for calling me this miss, you lack manners and needed to be corrected since your family failed to do that, so I decide to help them out. " Susan said smirking with the look of I slap you what can you do .

"Miss Richard we are sorry for this misunderstanding and for her rude behavior, we are going to give Miss Evelyn another one since you love this cloth so much I will have you take it with 2% discount for all the trouble we caused you. " The manager said with sweet smile plastered his face even thou he is fuming inside but what can he do. this devil is know for her unreasonable behavior. Who is he to cross path with her. He just have to endure.

"That better since you know who I am I will forgive you this time. " Susan said with a tone of finality.

The attendance looked at the manager with wide eye when she heard him not believing he would not correct this animal that clapped her but she was still given a discount. She sob silently.

Susan gave her cart to the manager to pull for her while she follow them leisurely.

The manager signal the attendance to follow him, he moved closer to her, " sorry you have to endure it she is the popular miss Richard, she is a spoilt brat and she devil. you should thank God that she did not have you fired." the manager whispered to her.

The attendance was terrified when she heard that, she has heard from her mate about her behavior but she has not met her before, now she knows why they all fled to other customer when she came in. She thank God that she was not fired. She just swallow her anger and apologize to her after Susan has paid for her goods.

"Ma'am, am sorry there won't be next time. "she said with a smile. She helped her to carry her bags to her car to show her sincerity. After she left everybody heave a sigh of relieve.

Betty was waiting for her at the parking lot, she was joking with the bodyguard when Susan came with all her bags. They board the car and head to the cafe nearby to have late lunch.
