***3 Weeks Later***
K-Magazine was full of energy as usual. Staff scurried around completing tasks given to them. After the release of the issue dedicated to BTS, endorsers, advertisers, and eager celebrities began to reach out in hopes of being connected to the company. BTS' name combined with the major sale increase for the issue, and online content did not go unnoticed by the entertainment world. Everyone wanted to take part in the now buzz worthy entertainment magazine.
Seo-yeon found herself extremely busy the past three weeks. Word had spread about her attention to detail, and ability to create "out of the box" images. Her skill with a camera was highly praised, and others commented that she brought out the best features of the BTS members. With all the compliments on her capabilities, she was given the opportunity to hire her own assistant. She didn't hesitate to reach out to Eun-ha, given how much she already helped. It took some convincing, but Eun-ha agreed to work with her, jokingly stating, "I was already doing more than make up, so why not get paid for it?"
Seo-yeon sat by herself in the studio making the edits to the new issue. She smiled to herself thinking about the past three weeks, and how fast things had changed. She didn't think it was possible, but she was able to privately date Jin without the media getting wind of it.
After the comeback party, Yoongi and Jin had dropped both Eun-ha and Seo at home. They had exchanged messages, and phone calls during their free time. She understood how hectic Jin's schedule was, and was grateful every time she was able to communicate with him. He surprised her one evening when he invited her to spend his off day at the group's dorm. He wanted to officially introduce her to the rest of the members as his girlfriend. She grinned, recalling that day.
**Flashback: 2 weeks ago; BTS dorm**
"Are you sure this is ok, Jin?"
Seo-yeon had agreed to meet the others after a large amount of pleading from Jin. She had agreed under the condition that he would be heavily covered, and he would only be allowed to pick her up if it was at her apartment, since it was far from the city.
He smiled sweetly, and patted her head reassuringly.
"Yes. I wouldn't bring you here if there was any chance that something could harm you. Besides," he said playing with a strand of her hair, "Manager Sejin didn't object."
"Would you listened to him had he objected?" Seo squinted her eyes in an accusatory way.
He laughed, and opened his door while mumbling, "Probably."
They entered the apartment shared by the seven men during their tours, and album recording. Yoongi was slouching on the couch scrolling through his phone, listening to mixes he had made earlier that day. Namjoon was writing in a notebook on the island while confirming items on his laptop. Ho-seok, who was occasionally watching tv, but slowly falling asleep, was the first to notice the couple that walked into the wide living room.
"Woah! What's this?" Ho-seok bolted upright, pointing at Jin and Seo-yeon.
Yoongi and Namjoon's eyes widened in shock, but they quickly recovered their composure. They greeted Seo-yeon, and offered her a seat.
"Ok, is anyone going to explain this?" Ho-seok demanded.
"Where are the others?" Jin asked Namjoon.
"I think they were playing video games, or goofing around in one of their rooms," Namjoon said.
Jin lead Seo-yeon to a recliner and sat on the arm rest once she was seated. Namjoon and Yoongi smiled and looked away at the intimacy exchanged. Ho-seok was torn between shock and excitement. He was on the verge of asking for answers when the maknae line began to file in.
"You cheated on that last play, Jimin!" Tae pouted angrily.
"Don't be a sore loser," Jimin giggled while patting Tae's shoulder.
"Jungkook!" Tae stubbornly shouted, "What do you think of that play?"
Jimin and Tae turned to face Jungkook who had not responded, and realized that he wasn't even paying attention to them. He was standing still with a huge smile on his face while facing forward. They followed his gaze, and spotted Seo-yeon sitting on the recliner with Jin on the arm rest with his arm around her shoulder.
"Ha! I knew it!" Jungkook surprised them all with his declaration.
"Knew what, Kookie?" Jin asked genuinely confused.
Jungkook smiled broadly and said, "I knew you two liked each other! I told you, hyung!" He directed the last comment at Tae-hyung, who scratched his head in frustration at having been wrong.
"And here I thought I was professional, and in control of the situation," Seo-yeon mumbled to no one in particular.
"You were, Yun Yun," Jungkook reassured her. The maknaes sat down on available seats to take in the situation as a whole. "I almost missed it, but Hyung's ears were bright red every time you got close. It was like he was just debuting. He couldn't focus, and he kept messing up when he's usually 'one' with the camera. Not to mention how you two avoided eye contact."
Everyone laughed at Jin and Seo-yeon's failed attempt to hide their feelings. Seo looked up at Jin, and smiled lovingly at him. He returned her smile, and gently brushed her hair back. The others dramatically oohed, and awed at the exchange.
Seo-yeon stayed at their dorm for dinner, and visited some afternoons that permitted it. They all welcomed her as a new family member. Of course the teasing never ended. Although they were not alone most visits, Seo and Jin basked in every moment. The short moments alone were full of passionate kisses, embraces, and deep conversations. They wanted to know everything about each other, and didn't waste any moment given to them.
***Present***
"Unnie?" Eun-ha gently tapped Seo-yeon's shoulder to grab her attention. Seo had been too absorbed in her memories of the past three weeks to notice that anyone had walked into the studio.
"I'm sorry. What's up?" Seo apologized.
Eun-ha gave a knowing smirk. "Hmmm, I wonder what has you off in la la land?"
Seo laughed, glad that she didn't have to hide anything from her friend. After the events at the comeback party, she filled Eun-ha in on her history with Jin and Yoongi. She was surprised at first, but thrilled in the end. She loved seeing Seo excelling in love and her work. She even noticed that Jin looked happier in his interviews, and performances.
"I just finished the shots for this year's KBS award nominees," Seo handed the drive to Eun-ha to be delivered to the editors.
"Great. Um, actually, Jin Ae needs to see you in her office," Eun-ha whispered.
"Oh? Did she say why?" she asked. She tried to think what she could possibly need to discuss, but came up with no ideas.
"Does she ever?"
She sighed. Eun-ha was right. Jin Ae rarely stated what spontaneous meetings are about. After giving tasks that needed attention to Eun-ha, she headed to the unexpected meeting. She entered the office, and gasped when she spotted Jin Ae standing with Bang PD, CEO of Big Hit.
"Good afternoon," she hastily greeted the intimidating man. 'Oh no. He must know. Please don't say anything.' she internally pleaded.
"Miss Park, we finally meet," he returned her greeting. He smiled pleasantly at her which unnerved her as she was unsure what he was there for. "I apologize that I never made an appearance during last month's issue."
"You don't need to apologize. I know you're busy, and Manager Sejin was more than capable."
Bang PD nodded in agreement, "I appreciate the compliment for our staff. Have you eaten lunch yet?"
Seo-yeon glanced at Jin Ae who looked just as curious as Seo felt. 'She doesn't know what this is about either.'
"No, sir, I have not."
"I made reservations at a nice restaurant and if you're not too busy, I would like to extend an invitation to you and Jin Ae. Would you join me?"
Seo-yeon knew she could not turn down this invitation. She didn't want to risk hurting her position at K Magazine, and she especially did not want to offend someone Jin has to answer to. Smiling brightly, she said a silent prayer in hopes that nothing bad would come out of this.
"It would an honor."
