Good Quality Point

Although they said it should be inevitable for them to ask Chen Ziyi about her rumors as she was the one who accept the invitation to join their meet up, they were contemplating on how they should start the conversation on that topic. They were totally curious at the validity of the rumors and the reason for her choice. However, their tongue were tied to start.

They were surprised at how Lu Zixin casually started the topic, but another thing that surprised them was how Lu Zixin comfortable with Chen Ziyi. They were all classmates for three years but they were not that close with Chen Ziyi much. They didn't have anything against Chen Ziyi, but compared to how their relationship with Chen Ziyi, in term of closeness and openness towards each other as friends, they had a more close relationship with each other to where they know each other's likes and dislikes.

Lu Zixin was popular with his carefree and sunny image. He was the friendly type towards everyone with his easygoing and bright personality. However, if with outsiders, he would still have few constraint on his bold words. Meanwhile, he would not filter anything when he was with people that he felt comfortable with. Well most of the time, his friends would hit him if he crossed over the line and it would later turn any awkward situation to a laughable scene.

Back to the point. They didn't think Lu Zixin was in his playful mode like how he used to, so they were surprised at how he can be that comfortable and so carefree after throwing that question. Yet, they also felt grateful for that already-happen thing so they can just listen to what Chen Ziyi would respond with.

Looking at how her friends' reaction and expression when the topic came up, she only gave them a smile and soft chuckle. They all felt quite suspense when Chen Ziyi gave them a nonchalant response.

"Yeah, it's true".

Hearing that, they all nodded. Although they heard it already, it still felt bombshell hearing that from her own mouth.

"But why? I mean your qualification deserve better than that. Isn't the reason for all of us studying that hard just to get to our dream school?" Lin Chao-xing became braver to boldly ask that after Lu Zixin's effortlessly started the topic. All eyes are looking at Chen Ziyi with various questioning look. They were classmates for three years from the age of 12 years old - where most of them were only stick to their parents arrangement to study at ChenHe to present time. They only had each other while they all working hard together and Chen Ziyi was included in the group. They were afraid they could not forgive Chen Ziyi if she was to give a poor reason for that.

Da Chunhao was silently anxious as she was somehow could assume a little bit of Chen Ziyi' reason for choosing LanShu. Her mother's maternal family was from the same community the Zheng's stay, so they knew a little bit of Cheng Ziyi's situation with the Zheng's. However, as she only knew a small part of the stories and she even did not know the validity of the story, she did not dare to share it with them.

"If you... do not mind to share with us, we all here would attentively listen to you." An Huiyin said comforting Chen Ziyi.

An Huiyin, although was described by her mother as a person who not yet to be prepared to meet the upper society, but in the group, she would be the person who would hold the group from acting too rush. Being timid and worrywart, she was the type who would keep them on the right track.

Among others, Chen Ziyi could recall clearly what future lies on An Huiyin's life as An Huiyin would be one of the important figure in solving a a virus outbreak that happen on animals which apparently affect the nation livestock. Although that was still far ahead, to her, An Huiyin was already helpful at present time by using that one skill of hers to keep the group in track. They should not make Chen Ziyi feel uncomfortable as it was not their initial purpose to ask such question.

Feeling grateful for An Huiyin's help, and considering that this was not an empty chat as her classmates were not fool and they really look curious of the reason, Chen Ziyi decided to be honest to them. But, she would not specifically, as there should be boundaries to what she should tell them. As if she can can say that she just came back from the future and want to change her decision for a better life.

She took a deep breathe and released it after she felt she was ready to start.

"It is not important anymore. Because I decided to cancel that decision and I would transfer to Province Y with my mother."

Hearing that, few of them felt at ease although they still felt weird for her to have the thought to go to LanShu. It was not LanShu high school was not good. The difference was obvious as ChenHe has higher successful rate to send their graduates to top universities local and abroad. LanShu clearly did not have that superior benefits. Furthermore, for the students who had experienced studying at ChenHe, they would obviously believe that their school much better than other school.

Despite of that, with them working hard together for three years to achieve their goals, they truly felt frustrated for Chen Ziyi to have such thoughts. If she did not even wanted to use the benefits getting transferred, she could at least stay at ChenHe compared to LanShu. Looking at others who still want to hear more, Chen Ziyi's continued. "I did intend to go LanShu."

Sigh! Where should she start?

This would be her first time to open up about her life towards others. She used to be embarrassed to share with others of what her life was like. She used to compare her life with others, question her life, cried out at her mother WHY? Why can't she get like others? Why can't she have her dad on her side? She couldn't accept how unfair the world to her and she was envious of other kids.

Her hands slowly went to under table clutching her dress to hide her nervousness.

"My parents had a divorce when I was five years old and my mother won my custody. I had not much chance to spend quality time with my father afterwards. It's not because of my mother. It's something else. I don't even know why. I did not intend to go to LanShu in fact. It was just a result of a choice to move into my father's house. My mother are going to transfer job to Province Y, so I am supposed to go with her. But I asked to stay with my father instead. So LanShu was just my only choice. Chenhe being located in the border would be too far from my father's house."

"I thought I can spend more time with my father if I moved to his house. However, after a thoroughly thinking, I just came into realization. I might couldn't enter into his eyes anyway. It was like there's no my existence in his eyes... My.. heart kept asking the logic just what am I in his life. With.. my brothers treating me in the same way, I could never apprehend to that. I kept thinking to myself and I came to a final say. I can't live in that family. My mother also worried that I might get bullied in that house. So we're cancelling that decision and I will go to Province Y." Chen Ziyi was explaining to them with the most sincere smile, and then laughed bitterly by herself at the end of her explanation.
