Fall into Me 2

"You said the receivers were blocked, Kaminari?" Eraser Head asked, preparing to fight.

"Yeah, everything's down, man."

"Then we have to evacuate. Someone needs to make it out and get help. I know you're all adults, but you aren't trained. We're going to need back up." Eraser Head said seriously.

Midoriya gasped, "You're going to fight them? Your quirk is suited for stealth and one-on-one! There are too many of them!"

"Don't worry about me, Pros always have more than one trick up their sleeves." Eraser Head slid down the rails and into the midst of the approaching villains, whipping around his scarf capture weapon, moving around skillfully. She watched in awe at his martial art skills. This man really was a Pro.

Star tore her eyes away as they all started running to the exit, and shouted in warning as Kuiguri's mind was suddenly much closer and louder. Iida stopped just in time, almost entering the gateway before falling back as it materialized in front of him.

"There is no escape for you…" The man fully formed in front of them. Star concentrated on his mind to the point where she was mouthing the words along with him. "It's a pleasure to meet you… We are the league of Villains..." She shivered, shaking her head. Two half lies. "We just had to invite ourselves in, for is this not a fitting place to make All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath?"

"You were in the office, you saw the schedule, but he isn't here…" Star muttered quietly, absorbed as her hands shook. Mashiro nudged her urgently and she realized she said it outloud.

"Ah yes, yet I see no sign of him, and he should be here. While you, on the other hand, are not supposed to be here, yet here you are. Ah, well, in the end I suppose it doesn't matter, I still have a role to play." The mist swirled. Star's heart pounded in her chest as she turned to run. She wouldn't be taken again. Not again.

Thirteen clicked their finger open.

"That won't work-"

Star had barely gotten the words out when she was cut off by three battle cries. Bakugo, Kirishima and Mashirao had leapt at the mist. Kirishima hardened, Mashirao swung his tail onto the top of the figure, and Bakugo let off an explosion in its face. A loud boom sounded, and smoke filled the area.

"Did ya think we were just gonna sit around and let you tear this place to shreds?" Kirishima's voice sounded as the smoke started to clear. Kuriguri's mind was still there though, it didn't work!

"You should be more careful… Who knows who's... going to get hurt…" The purple mist reformed amongst the smoke. Bakugo turned to her at the words, eyes alarmed.

"You two, get out of the way right now-"

"I'll scatter you across this facility, to meet my commarads, and your death!"

The purple mist circled around them and Star was screaming. Not again, she couldn't do this again-

=As she reached for Mashirao's hand, the darkness around her closed in. She felt like she was falling into nothingness, she thought she was dead. When she landed on her knees on the cold concrete, she realized she would soon wish she was.=

Mashirao grabbed her, and the darkness around them closed in. She felt like she was falling into nothingness, but this time she knew she wasn't dead. When she landed on her knees and felt them burn as they touched the ground though, she wondered if she had been wrong, because this was certainly what Hell must feel like.

She opened her eyes and everything around her was burning. She felt the heat from the flames hit her in waves, and her eyes stung from the smoke. Mashirao was beside her and she could hear Hagakure's mind next to her own. She breathed in a sigh of relief, but choked on the smoke and coughed.

"We're in the fire zone, this is still UA." Mashiro commented.

"Definitely!" Hagakure chirped, taking her clothes off. None of them had time to be embarrassed.

"Star, you need to go back to the main area. If the villains have a plan, you're the only one who has a chance at hearing it. I have Hagakure here to help. Just run for it when I say so, we'll keep them off of you!"

She looked at Mashirao and nodded. She didn't want to leave, but she knew he would be okay. Even if he was on his own she knew he could manage, so Hagakure being there was an advantage. He was right as well about the villains. With her, they had a shot at being one step ahead of them, which they desperately needed with All Might not there.

Star heard voices enter her head, and sunk into a fighting stance. She pulled a pack of vodka infused gummy bears from her leg pocket and popped them in her mouth. If it comes to hand to hand combat, which it would since none of them had quirks to keep the villains at a distance, the contact would be jarring for her, especially surrounded by… Maybe 6 people? She motioned to her classmates and held up her guess on her fingers, and Mashirao matched her stance. She felt Invisa-chick's determination, and she pulled a knife from her leg strap.

The group of villains surrounded them, many of them with hardened skin or other quirks that allowed them to thrive in the burning city. Star went back to back with Mashirao like they have a million times, and got ready. The first one lunged at her at the same time as two went for Mashiro. One of his enemies tripped as if over thin air, the other-

Star stopped focusing on them and almost lost her balance as a fist went flying near her ear, almost hitting her equipment. There was no way she was admitting to Melissa she had almost broken her tech after two uses. She cursed and grabbed the arm near her head, pivoting and stepping back until her back was against his chest. Leaning forward while pulling his arm at the same time, she caused him to go over her shoulders and onto the ground, landing on his back. She had almost hit Mashirao in the process, but he had moved out of the way just in time. She winced at her miscalculation, her mind now more dulled from the candy, but at least her muscle memory remained. Mashirao was suddenly in front of her, blocking another hit she hadn't noticed. Having to drink was severely interfering with her reflexes and awareness.

Go!

Star took off as she heard him shout in his head. She could hear the inner voices fading behind her as she stumbled to the door. She kicked it open and ran through, finding herself in an urban setting now, and picked up her pace. She just hoped she wasn't too late.
