Follow the Leader

Momo Yaoyorozu crossed the finish line, exhausted from carrying this… pervert on her back. She would have taken her shirt off to try and get rid of him, but she was terribly worried that he would stick to her bra strap next.

Not only that, but he had stuck a ball onto her pants as well. She did not care about exposing herself, it was a necessary part of her quirk. She just did not have time to undress during the race, especially since he could just stick to her skin next.

She sighed in relief as Shoto came up to her with another uniform, probably having been watching the camera after he finished. She felt the air around her chill, and Mineta audibly gulped behind her. Momo did not understand why until she looked at Shoto's face.

He was livid.

Mineta scrambled off of her, running for cover, but did not make it before his feet were frozen solid. She shook her head at Shoto, taking the clothes as he reached her.

"To ensure he doesn't follow after us while you change." He calmly explained, seeing no wrong in what he did. She did not have time to argue with this as they walked to a more private area while the other hundreds of students trickled in. There was something else she needed to bring up first.

Shoto took the clothes from her hands to hold as she changed.

"I thought you were not here to be a teammate or a friend." She started, keeping her voice even as she took off the pants that still had Mineta's ball stuck on them.

Shoto frowned at her. "You know that I was not referring to you, Momo."

He handed her the new pair of pants.

She pulled them on, and leveled her gaze at him. "Then who were you referring to? Midoriya, who has nothing to do with your father, or Kyoka, who you have been friends with for over a year now?"

She shook her head at the change in his eyes, and shrugged off her already open shirt. "I get it Shoto. Believe me, I do. Your father being here is difficult for both of us, but especially for you. We both have a lot to prove, to everyone, but-"

They both paused as they heard Midnight over the loudspeakers, announcing a cavalry battle as the next event. He handed her the shirt and she put it on, not bothering to button it up this time as Midnight started explaining the rules.

"We don't have time for this right now, we need to find a team."

Getting into game mode as he walked towards the field, Shoto started commanding, "I will be the rider. You can take the right wing, that way you will be able to use your quirk without being in danger. Focus on insulation and defense. I will talk to Kaminari, he can be our left wing and keep enemies at bay. I have a plan after so many people avoided my ice in the race."

Momo bit her lip, and was going to speak up, but he continued without looking at her.

"You should talk to Iida if he doesn't team up with Midoriya, he would be a perfect frontrunner with his mobility and physical defense. We will meet up after we have found them, and I will explain the plan." He was already walking away towards Kaminari when they reached the field.

Momo hesitated, before reaching out slightly, calling "Shoto, wait-"

But he was gone.

Momo bit her lip harder, trying to bite back the strategy and ideas wanting to spill from her lips. Looking down at the ground, she silently approached Iida, and quietly followed Shoto's lead.
