Matchmaker 2

Mina Ashido poured herself another drink and headed over to the couches where the TV was.

There was a mountain of food around Tetsutetsu, courtesy of Sato who had been thrilled that the guy was addicted to his baking in his drunk state. Sato himself didn't drink, saying he burned it off too quickly for it to make a difference.

"Time to make like a BANANA," Hanta drunkenly started as he dropped a banana onto the racing map, "...and SPILT!" He leapt up and stood on the couch with a controller in his hand, leaning with his character as he sped away on the screen.

Tetsutetsu groaned, mouth full of pastries, and Kirishima joined in.

"Dude, so not manly!"

Mina's eyes finally fell on Kirishima as he spoke, taking in the cute pink flush on his cheeks from the alcohol. He was also moving with his character, pressing the button for the gas pedal harder, as if it would make his character go faster than the max speed. His toothy grin was even more endearing than normal, with his tongue slightly sticking out in concentration.

Mina smiled at the sight, and cozied up next to him as he played. She had never been shy when showing him affection, finding it natural and comfortable. He was a nervous wreck around her most of the time, so she always initiated the contact, hoping it would go somewhere eventually.

Relaxed in his drunken state, Kirishima didn't jump in surprise this time. Instead, he turned away from the game to look at her with his heart melting toothy smile, not caring that he was losing his place in the race. Putting an arm around her, he moved so that he could still play, smashing buttons on the controller violently to catch up.

Mina giggled, watching him speed through the race. It was very impressive. Not many people could go the wrong direction with such speed.

Kirishima finally seemed to notice as he completed the last lap and nothing happened, chuckling in embarrassment as he quietly put the controller down. "Er, heh, I was just letting them win since I won the last one!"

He scratched his head sheepishly, keeping his other are around her. Mina pressed her smiling lips together, deciding not to admit she had seen the result of the last match too. His smile was just too cute for that.

Instead, she focused on the next pairing on her list. The challenge of the night. Olivia and Bakugo.

"Let's give them a chance for the next round too!" She suggested, playing along and protecting his pride. "I need help getting Bakugo to bring down some of Olivia's liquor. We're totally running low!"

They weren't, but all is fair in love and quirks.

Kirishima jumped up from the couch excitedly, causing Mina to fall over from the sudden lack of someone to lean on.

"Oh man, BAKUBRO! We gotta go get him! My bro got first place! FIRST PLAAACE!" He yelled at the end, and people from around the room cheered, despite not knowing what he was yelling about.

Mina giggled, pushing herself up. "Totally! Let's go get him!"

As they arrived at Bakugo's door, Kirishima knocked loudly, a big grin on his face.

"Fuck off Shitty Hair, I'm trying to sleep!"

Kirishima started to yell back through the door. "Ashido- huh?"

Mina had stopped him, tugging on his shirt sleeve. "You can totally call me Mina, ya know! We've known each other since middle school!"

His face flushed, and Mina giggled at how red he looked. "Er, right! C-call me Eijiro!"

She smiled back sweetly, nodding.

"Mina is here too!" Eijiro yelled, finishing his sentence.

"Who goes to bed at like, 10 PM anyway?!" Mina whined through the closed door.

They heard an explosion on the other side. "People who actually gave a shit during the Sports Festival, you pink alien!" Bakugo yelled back.

"Ey don't be so harsh, Bakubro! Come celebrate! You're the champion!" Kirishima continued, rattling the doorknob.

Mina pulled on her best whiny voice, making sure she said the name extra loud. "At least give us Olivia's alcohol then! She said you had it! Everyone is drunk and we're running low- eek!"

Mina was caught off guard as the door was suddenly opened. Her and Eijiro had been leaning on it as they yelled, causing them to land in a heap of limbs on Bakugo's floor.

"Oi! Out of my damn room! You're going to let him out!" Bakugo growled, pulling them both up abruptly.

Mina wasn't wasted, but she had drank enough that the sudden movement made her dizzy. As the world came back into focus, Bakugo slammed his door behind him, using one hand to lock the door while the other held a bottle of liquor.

"Yaaaay he's giving us liquor!" Mina cheered, jumping in the air with her fist raised.

"Tch, like hell I am." He scoffed, taking a swing of it as he walked past them.

Mina's mouth dropped open in surprise, and Eijiro chuckled. "My man Bakubro is a tank!"

They hurried to catch up to him before the elevator doors closed, and Mina smiled to herself.

So far, so good.
