Little Miss Drunk? 3

From his spot next to Red, Monkey scooped her up, handing her to Katsuki as he stood.

"Don't let her out of your sight. I need to find Hitoshi, and we need to find Aizawa. Don't touch anything in the room either. This is a crime scene now." Monkey warning, words rushing out anxiously.

"Don't fucking tell me what to do!" Katsuki growled, but carefully stepped around the scattered items in her room anyway.

Monkey went off to handle it, and Katsuki adjusted Red's weight in his arms, reaching for his key as he carried her to his door. As he finally got a hold of it, he turned so that he could unlock it, and put his weight on the doorknob to open it.

Kicking it shut behind him, he laid her on his side of his large bed, next to Lord Explosion. Looking her over, he finally relaxed when he saw she had no obvious injuries. She looked exactly the same as when he last saw her.

The cat looked at them curiously, and rubbed against Red's hand. Lord Explosion looked at him confused when she didn't pet him back, and Katsuki sighed, "Don't give me that damn look, go back to sleep in your bed. She'll pet you in the morning."

As his cat curled under Red's arm, ignoring him, he grabbed his extra comforter and pillow from his closet. Tossing them on the ground, he put his water bottle and a bottle of painkillers on the bed stand. Removing his phone from his pocket, he sent a text to their group chat he had on mute.

Letting them know where she was, and threatening anyone who tried to wake her up, he then put his phone on the nightstand next to her. If she woke up panicking, she could call someone if she wanted to.

There wasn't much else to do but wait until the school called the cops, so Katsuki laid his comforter on the floor and waited with her. Like fucking hell he was leaving her in the room alone when she was drugged up and the bastard had some weird quirk or device that allowed him to get in.

He frowned as he fell asleep. No one had realized she was in danger, too used to her drinking habits. Had the bastard planned on that? Did he somehow know Red that well?

He fell into an uneasy sleep, hundreds of thoughts clouding his head.

~~~~~~
He wasn't sure how much time had passed before he was woken up by his cat landing on his stomach.
Letting out a curse, he opened his eyes as he heard noise from his bed. Sitting up, he understood why his cat had abandoned ship.
Red was thrashing, sweat on her forehead. Apparently the drugs had worn off if she was able to move. Katsuki thought back to the last time he had seen her have a nightmare and his lips tightened, remembering his reaction.
Weeks had passed since then though, and he liked to think he had a better understanding now. Fuck, he was just thankful she hadn't started screaming yet, otherwise Kirishima would break down the door assuming he had killed the woman.
Groggily standing up, Katsuki started talking while trying to shake her awake, despite her erratic movement.
"Oi, Freckles. You gotta wake the fuck up. Come on, Red."
He kept talking until her eyes opened and she took a deep breath in, gasping as she sat up quickly. Knowing what was coming, he handed her the water bottle as she clutched her head, gliding her thumbs around her ears like she was tracing something.
"You need to drink water." He said gruffly, sleep still in his voice.
She looked up at him then, squinting like she was trying to see without glasses. She took the water though, drinking almost all of it in one go.
"Why are you in my room?" She asked horsley.
Katsuki was a little alarmed at her lack of reaction at the concept of him in her room. Then again, he had broken down her door during her nightmare before…
"You're in my room, Red. Your room... isn't secure right now. We can talk about it in the morning. Just go back to bed." Katsuki yawned, turning away.
He had barely moved before a small hand quickly shot out, stopping him.
"Don't leave."
It was hoarse and weak, but felt loud against the silence surrounding them.
"I'm on the floor, I'm not going anywhere. 'Kay, Red?" His voice faltered a bit when the hand touching him started trembling. "The drug is probably still in your system, I don't want you waking up and attacking me when you forget why you're there."
Katsuki pushed down the tightness in his chest as he walked back to his makeshift bed, letting her hand fall. He turned away from her, trying to ignore how wrong it felt.
To his surprise, he heard her feet touch the floor hesitantly, as if unsteady. Then, the sound of the blanket dragging behind her.
He heard as she settled next to him, and he rolled over, finally seeing her face as the moonlight shining through his balcony window illuminated her figure.
Trembling, she had the blanket wrapped around her like a cocoon. Her electric eyes were wide as they stared back at him. Instead of the red flush on her freckled cheeks he was alway after, there were lines from tears, revealed by the moonlight.
Katsuki swallowed, looking away as he roughly spoke. "I'm sorry about today. I was wrong about your stupid drinking and your stupid quirk. So wrong I didn't even realize when you were…"
Breaking off, he glanced back at her. Would she even remember his apology? Would she remember what had happened to her? How scared she must've been?
"It's okay..." Her words seemed to echo in the still air. "Thank you. For staying with me tonight."
Her voice trembled a bit near the end, and he didn't want to imagine what she was feeling. Someone had invaded the most secure college in Japan. Not once, but twice. Someone with evil intentions had blended in with the aspiring heroes in their own dorms. And they had all been helpless.
Freckles quietly reached out, putting her hand on his arm, and her eyes fluttered shut.
He wasn't sure how long they stayed like that. But as her breathing slowed, he realized he hadn't looked away. Tearing his eyes from her, he watched Lord Explosion settle against where their hand and arm met, apparently happy that there was no more movement.
He was really regretting buying that damn cat bed now, seeing as the thing seemed to be content to sleep anywhere someone warm was...
And closing his eyes, Katsuki finally drifted off as well.
