Birdbrain Agency

Keigo Takami was looking in the mirror at his feathery ash blonde hair that seemed permanently swept backwards, when he felt it.

The vibrations around one of his feathers hummed as the private elevator made its way up the building to his penthouse.

Damn, that's what he forgot!

Pulling a tiny notebook out of his jacket's breast pocket, he clicked his small pen and added 'elevator' to his survainance list.

It'd been a hot minute since he had used that thing, so... yeah. It had definitely slipped his mind. That was kinda why he bought out the top floor penthouse and the building's roof. So that he wouldn't have to use the thing.

He felt them enter, locating them with the feather in front of the elevator shaft. He may have forgotten about the inside of the elevator, but he was the number 3 hero for a reason. He wasn't stupid-

He felt a phantom ripple and shuddered, not liking the feeling of someone touching the soft part of the feathers.

Flying over to them, he was suddenly in front of the two students before they could blink. They weren't much younger than he was. When the man stiffened and the woman jumped in surprise, he felt his mood lighten. It was the simple pleasures.

It lightened further when the small woman lost her balance. He easily sent a long feather to wrap around the redhead's waist, steadying her.

That must be Star Skyline, or Miss Olivia. No wonder she was prone to being a victim, with balance like that.

At the same moment, the male reached back to steady her, seemingly out of habit, since he didn't take his eyes off of Keigo. Best friends, maybe?

The spiky blond looked irritated when he realized that Keigo beat him to it, red eyes narrowing as he saw the feather around her waist. Ah, lovers.

This was Katsuki Bakugo then, winner of the Sports Festival. Too bad the Shinso kid was in General Education. He wanted all the information he could get.

"T-thanks?" Skyline said uneasily, touching the feather that was around her waist. Keigo twitched at the sensation, and the feather returned to him.

"You're pretty clumsy there, Chickadee." A lazy smile broke across Keigo's face, gold-brown eyes half lidded. He turned away from Skyline, looking at Bakugo. "And you're pretty fast. Not faster than me though, of course."

Bakugo's teeth clenched together. "I'd sweep the floor with you, Birdbrain."

Keigo quickly reminded himself to add racing the Pilot over here, to his list of things to do when he's bored. Keigo was too fast for his own good. And man, wiping that expression off the guy's face would be just what he needed after a long day.

Keigo's expression didn't change, but Skyline grinned. Using his 'sincere' voice, he responded. "Uh-huh, yep, you would."

Bakugo smirked, satisfied, until Skyline giggled from behind him. "What the hell is so funny, Giggles?" Bakugo demanded.

Keigo sent a wink her way while the guy's back was turned, making her flush.

Her amusement died down, and Skyline shrugged at her pissed boyfriend. "Nothing, just thinking about something funny I heard."

She was a good sport, playing along. Or maybe she wanted to annoy the guy as well, which he was totally down with. Keigo started walking away to show them their room, and Skyline followed him without needing to be told. She didn't have a flying quirk, but she seemed to manage keeping up better than the other student.

"This isn't your office." Bakugo said plainly as he caught up to them. The guy with the fast reflexes was slow, and the woman with the slow reflexes was fast. How ironic. Together they made one functioning hero.

Keigo looked over his shoulder lazily, head tilting back as he responded. "Good observation, Pilot. You really are fast, aren't you?"

Skyline snickered again, and Bakugo's eyes narrowed dangerously as he caught on.

"You must think you're hilarious, huh?" He spat.

Keigo didn't miss a beat, smirking as he shrugged. "Your girlfriend seems to think so."

That shut them both up. Keigo grinned. It's the little things in life.

"Don't know how you managed to snag such a fast, polite, high quality guy like him, Chickadee. Call me jealous." Keigo continued, unaffected by the change in the students.

Bakugo seethed, and Skyline flushed red, matching her hair.

"Makes me feel less bad about the arrangements. This is the room you two will be staying in." Keigo opened the door for them, gesturing. "Try not to blow anything up before you finish unpacking, and show me that speed of yours by zipping right on back, yeah?"

Keigo was just openly mocking Bakugo now, enjoying himself. Bakugo's face got angrier and angrier, and Keigo took that as his cue to leave them to it. Before the student could open his mouth, Keigo flew away, leaving a single feather.

As he reached the roof, he listened to the voices and movement vibrations through the feather he left.

"Damn feathers for brains shit eating cocky bastard…" Bakugo growled, storming into the room. He threw his bag onto one of the beds violently, exhaling a breath of air.

Some creativity there, very impressive.

"I think he's hilarious." Skyline replied cheekily.

Keigo chuckled at that. What a good chickadee.

It was quiet for a moment.

"I hope I didn't keep you up when I slept in your room... I was trying not to. I usually don't have nightmares when I'm touching someone. Takes me out of my own mind, I guess."

Nothing was said, but Skyline spoke as if there had been. Must have been in response to her partner's expression, or something else that Keigo couldn't see.

"Tch, you were fine."

They were a couple, then. What are the odds that the two he picked were together? Man, he's good. Works out too, since there was one room. Though there are two beds at least.

Keigo hadn't expected them both to accept the internship, but he couldn't risk applying for one of them and not being chosen. If he was going into the wolves den, he was going to need to arm himself with information as protection.

Keigo considered the nightmare part he heard. It wasn't surprising. A lot of victims who experience trauma from villains developed post-traumatic stress disorder. It was the ugly part of their quirk driven society that no one talked about. Maybe he'd sleep with his hero costume headphones on, and casually mention it. Save her the stress over him hearing.

Speaking of hearing…

Skyline hesitated near the feather he purposely left out in the open. Avoiding the soft part, she gently picked it up by the stem before catching up with Bakugo, who had walked on ahead.

Keigo grinned. Had she caught on to his discomfort that quickly? He wouldn't be surprised if she had, with how she also thought to bring the feather with her.

Keigo heard Bakugo let out a frustrated 'tch'.

"He's not inside." Skyline informed the guy.

Keigo lost a bit of altitude at the words, before correcting himself. He decided to shift onto the satellite, since apparently they'd be heading up faster than he thought. How did such a sharp girl get kidnapped? What kind of quirk was used against her and the Shinso guy to take them? He really needed to ask questions, and soon.

"No shit, captain obvious." Bakugo growled. Yeesh, what a charmer. What did she see in the guy?

Skyline sounded equally annoyed when she responded. "No, I mean he's outside."

A pause, then she sighed.

Keigo listened to the vibrations as she walked across the penthouse to the ladder. Skyline began climbing up, pushing the panel above her open as Bakugo followed behind her. Skyline reached the top and looked down, hands on the ladder.

"If you keep thinking about my ass, this ladder will suddenly become a lot less stable."

Keigo chuckled at that.

"Tch, whatever, sweet cheeks."
