Prologue 2

" " = Talking

' ' = Thinking

* * = Action

After a few days, Zhang Qie was walking home. Not knowing that today was the day that everything would change. He was happy because he just finished school and can go back home. He loved his sister and mother more than anything else in the world, and while he might always be arrogant, when he is with his family he is as tame as a kitten.

While he was going home, somebody stopped him, it was Huo Ming. Zhang Qie was suspicious of why this person stopped him and had a sinking feeling in his stomach, though he didn't know why.

Zhang Qie: "Why did you stop your father? Have you come to finally repent for your sins? If so, then I will have to reluctantly accept your offer."

Huo Ming: "I have come to repent for my sins, I have brought a gift and hope you will only open it when you get home, after all it is quite a valuable gift. Although I think only you would find value in it."

After Huo Ming said that he delivered two boxes to Zhang Qie, the boxes weren't too big yet they also weren't too small. When Zhang Qie received the boxes though, he felt like they weighed a ton, he also felt bile rise up to his throat although he didn't know why. With a heavy heart he accepted the boxes, he didn't smile like he would usually do when he received a present, he just indifferently looked at them and then looked at Huo Ming.

Zhang Qie: "I would like to know your name, after all I can't repay the person who gave me a gift without knowing their name."

Zhang Qie didn't even bother addressing himself with a title, he just calmly asked Huo Ming for his name while also pondering what that feeling was. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice that there was barely anybody on the street, it made the whole area feel dreary, and would strike somebody with fear if they decided to go through that street.

Huo Ming: "This one's name is Huo Ming, I would also like to know what this brother's name is." 'Although this young master already knows what your name is, I would like to hear it from yourself, just to make sure that the information I received is absolutely correct.'

Zhang Qie: "Very well then, this ones name is Zhang Qie. Now if you will excuse me I must be off, I have important things to do."

Zhang Qie calmly said this and then walked away with the two boxes in hand. With every step he made there seemed to be more pressure on him, until it seemed to be unbearable for him. He staggered and then continued on, with whatever is in those two boxes gently hitting the sides of the box, as if wanting to be let out, begging to be let out.

Eventually, Zhang Qie reaches home. There is now a peaceful atmosphere around him, as if everything before was just a dream.

Zhang Qie: "I'm home!"

Zhang Qie shouts out, only to be greeted by silence, he doesn't think much of it and continues to walk to his room. He puts the gifts in a corner and then starts his homework. After an hour or so he finishes his homework, still not seeing anyone around he starts to slightly panic but calms down after some time, reasoning that they might have something that is keeping them busy.

After a few hours he starts to panic again, he picks up his phone and tries to call them, only to be left at voicemail. Now he is worried, he goes to their workplace and asks their colleagues if they have seen his sister or mother. They reply that they saw them this morning, calming him down slightly. He goes home and then makes himself dinner, after that he goes to bed. The next morning he wakes up, the gifts still in the corner, and then makes breakfast for himself. He goes to school and comes back immediately, hoping for someone to be their, there is still no one there. Now panic is in full swing, he freaks out.

A week later...

In a bedroom you can see a pale and malnourished body, the lights are off and there are dishes all over the ground, most still have food on them. The person is Zhang Qie.

Zhang Qie: "Ugh...." 'where are they? where are they??WHERE are they??? WHERE ARE THEY?!?!?!'

Zhang Qie then gets up. *smash* the dishes all over the floor are scattered, *bam* some are broken apart. (Author here, didn't try to make this part dark, it sorta just came out that way, don't worry most chapters will not be dark and more on the lighter side, I sorta just wanted to simulate a mental break down because... character development!) He then crouches down, breathing in and out, in and out, eventually he stops and curls up into a ball. While he is like that he tries to think of anything odd that happened that day, most of the day is blurry to him due to the stress on his mind but he does remember one odd thing that happened that day. Huo Ming. Know that he thought back to it, it was odd how he met him there, and how Huo Ming already had gifts prepared for Zhang Qie.

Zhang Qie slowly looked over to the corner of the room, where the gifts were, they were still there—albeit with some of the wrapper torn off, probably from all the debris flying around. He thought of the words that Huo Ming said, and then his eyes slowly started to open wider and wider, a hint of madness appearing in them.

Zhang Qie: "He wouldn't dare, would he? No he wouldn't dare." 'He couldn't have, he shouldn't have.'

Zhang Qie slowly got up and walked over there. With slow and methodical steps he finally arrived. He slowly moved his trembling hands towards the box, and tore off the remaining wrapping paper, after that he opened the lid on the box.

When he looked inside the box, his mind snapped, all the stress that was accumulated over the week was released. There was nothing on his mind anymore, it was just a White Sea.

But above that White Sea a flame burned, with every second it grew stronger and stronger until it evaporated that sea.

In the fire there were many different thoughts. Revenge, sadness, and a hint of madness were in there. But most of all was the desire for strength, to be strong enough to rewind time and stop all the injustices it faced, to be strong enough to kill all of his enemies.(This is the past so it's not his current personality, everybody evolves over time and the main lead is no different.)

An unknown time later...

Zhang Qie is standing atop a pile of corpses. He looks indifferently down at the pile and then at his sword, his sword that's coated in blood, he then raises the sword into the air and then makes the bladed end turns towards him. After that he thrusts the blade towards him...
