Zhang Qie's eyes gently fluttered open. He looked around him, not knowing where he was for a second. Then he remembered what he did. The blood, the crying, and most of all the anger that was directed towards him. Of course if he had to do it again he would do it in a heartbeat, after all he can fix everything that he messed up.
*click* the door to his room opened, and there stood one of the most important persons in his life, his sister, Zhang Feng. She had a mischievous smile on her face when she was looking at him. Slowly, she approached him, and then... She threw the covers off his bed.
Zhang Feng: "Wake up little brother. You're going to be a third year in high school and you wouldn't want to be late on the first day!"
Zhang Feng seemed to be really enthusiastic but when she met her brother's eyes briefly she suddenly froze. She felt like she was looking at a stranger although she couldn't figure out why, her instincts were screaming at her to run but she couldn't move. Just as she was about to scream the feeling was gone, like it never happened in the first place. Shocked she looked again at her brother only to find him with tears in his eyes. Confused and with her mind in disarray she did the first thing she could think of, hug him.
Zhang Feng: "What's wrong brother? Why are you sad, did you have a bad dream?"
As she hugged him and attempted to comfort him she failed to notice him go rigid when she touched him.
Zhang Qie: "No sister, it's just that last year when I went to school I was constantly being bullied. The teachers didn't do anything to stop it and if anything they made it worse. I don't want to go to school."
Zhang Feng: "What!? Why didn't you tell me that this was happening last year? If you did then I would have made mom drop you out right away!"
Zhang Qie: "Please don't make me go to school."
After awhile of begging Zhang Feng contacted their mother who ultimately let him have a week of school off. His mother also said that during this time he must be with his sister, whether it's at work or home because she is on a business trip and she doesn't want Zhang Qie to be alone. When they finally decided on what to do, Zhang Qie started to take off his clothes, Zhang Feng stupefied hurriedly went out of the room with a red face.
Zhang Feng: "What are you doing brother!"
She shouted at him.
Zhang Qie: "Obviously I'm going to take a bath, what else would I be doing. I can't leave this house and go to your work smelly."
Zhang Feng: "well you should have told me that first before you started taking off your clothes. I'm going to make us breakfast!"
Once Zhang Feng's footsteps could no longer be heard, the atmosphere in Zhang Qie's room became dreary. Zhang Qie's countenance became cold again, and he walked towards the shower.
Everything that Zhang Qie said to his sister was a lie, he didn't have any bullies at school and if he did then currently he would go out and kill them. He simply felt that school was a waste of time and he could be spending his time cultivating or spending time with the family he lost before.
He arrived at the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror, he looked like his young self that was scrawny and somewhat unhealthy looking. He looked at his face that was average and thought back to when he was in the higher realms, everybody in the higher realms had faces and bodies that could put most of the mortals in this realm, the planes realm, to shame. He figured that it must have something to do with how much ether was in the air, which was partly right. The correct answer was actually that the higher you cultivate, the closer your body gets towards perfection. And based on having more ether in the air the people in higher realms should be able to get to higher cultivation levels then people in lower realms.
After thinking about the higher realms a light smile appeared on his face. His first goal in this second life is to assist his mother and sister in becoming cultivators. He won't directly tell them and only point in a general direction at first because only by discovering something by yourself will you truly understand what it is. Additionally, everybody has a different interpretation of what cultivation is and what it does, only by self discovery will you find what type of cultivation you're suitable for.(sorry for the info dump, that's sort of what these early chapters will be, don't worry it will eventually pick up.)
After taking a shower and putting on his clothes, he headed downstairs, he saw his sister who was waiting downstairs at the table, and apologized for taking so long.
Zhang Qie: "Sorry that I took so long sister. I was having such a great shower that I lost track of time."
Zhang Feng: "Apologies accepted, now come and eat, I don't want to be late for work."
After Zhang Qie finished his breakfast and brushed his teeth, due to his sister's insistence, they both rushed to his sister's car and got in, his sister's job was at a café and was a little far away. Since he was required to be near his sister at all times he would be sitting near the front where his sister was. He brought his schoolbooks with him because he had nothing to do, of course this was just a coverup for what he would actually be doing, cultivating.
With his sister's shift at work starting, he looked around for a good spot. The only spot that he could find already had someone there, but this wouldn't stop him. As he got closer to the spot he started to notice more details about the person, it seemed like a girl, when he finally arrived there the girl looked up.
???: "What do you want?"
The girl in question looked breathtakingly beautiful, with White hair and blue eyes she looked like a snow fairy. Not only that her figure was filling out nicely, no doubt in a few years she would have a voluptuous figure.
Of course for Zhang Qie who has a warped sense of beauty from seeing them walk around on the streets in the higher realms often he remained unimpressed, thinking that she is just another average person.
Zhang Qie: "I would like to sit here and do my work please."
???: "Go away, I have important things to do."
The girl, thinking he was there to flirt with her, got annoyed and dismissed him, not even looking at him twice.
Zhang Qie: "But I insist that I sit here."
Once Zhang Qie said those lines he immediately sat down, stunning the beauty, he put up his books around himself like a wall and then got into a lotus position, ready to start cultivating. Just as he was about to get into the optimum state for cultivation he was disrupted due to his books falling over, annoyed he looked at the cause of the books falling over, the girl.
???: "Can't you tell I'm not interested in you, why do you insist on sitting here?"
The girl obviously full of displeasure spoke. Never thinking that the guy was not interested in her.
Zhang Qie: "Shut up"
After Zhang Qie said that he put the books back into position, zoning the girl out completely.
