Chapter 8: Immortal vs Mortal

*Boom*

Whenever Anzai and Gildart made contact with each other, the ground and the arena shacked.

The wind created by the battled was wild and made the clothes of all people flutter and were scared if they may get in the crossfire, but still the rush of adreline didn't make them to leave the place.

But then again, they remembered that there are total 20, level 4 defense spell cast around the battle arena, making the whole spectators place secure.

*Boom*

The arena was still shacking

Anzai, launched every part of her body at Gildart and tried everything to hurt him, but each and every attack was blocked.

"You are still weak" Gildart said to Anzai with a sad expression, which made her so angry that she wanted to kill him.

She again created some space and then roared out loudly.

Soon, her hairs turn into blue, and her hands, and legs were now covered in flames. Also, the aura around her was now heavy.

Round 2 now begins

*Boom*

*shake*

He speed and strength had increased to new heights, she was truly a war goddess now, in front of everyone's eyes, but for Gildart he had a confused expression

Gildart in his mind thought 'Why isn't her clothes burning?'

*boom*

But he didn't get much time to think about it as a fist was launched at him. Though it was blocked, still the hotness of fire was really high

Gildart wanted to extinguish the fire in her hands and leg but couldn't do it as they were not a spell but part of the upgrade.

Though he could extinguish if he wanted but he is Gildart right now not Yama, so he has to be in character and only crush mana based spell.

*boom*

After a few more contacts, Anzai moved way back to the corner and then took a deep breath.

And then disappeared, or she was so fast that no one could see her

*booooooooooom*

This time the attack launched by Anzai, sent him flying way back to the wall.

*thud*

Rubbles fall from the wall and dust appeared where Gildart crashed.

This was a high-level attack, which easily breaks 2 defense spells out of 20.

"Is this the end?"

A guard asked himself, soon the crowd also felt like this is the end but before the announcer could announce something or people come to look for Gildart a noise came from the dust.

*Clap*

"That was a nice attack but still I have to say I am disappointed"

A man from the dust appeared, he was none other than Gildart, and what's more shocking was he wasn't even hurt or had a scratch. Though his clothes were a bit tattered still nothing else happened.

Gildart continued to speak "When I participated in this competition, I thought it would be easy to win but you, you peaked my interest when people talked so highly about you. War goddess, Immortal knight, and many more names were used to refer you"

Gildart paused and then said "But now that I am fighting you, only one word comes into my mind NOOB"

"you" Anzai wanted to say something but was stopped by Gildart as he continued to speak

"I thought maybe it is because we are in the arena and people are around us, so you can't go all out but, but it turns out, you don't even know how to control your own strength"

Gildart continued "And still people call you war goddess? Haa? You are not even worthy to be called as a master of war, let alone goddess"

Anzai herself knew that she can't control her own powers, but still her pride didn't allow her to hear it. With an angry voice, she said "Then why not you show me, what it means to be called as a GOD"

Gildart heard her words and with a smile said "NO-NO-NO, I am not a god of anything, but yeah I know a certain someone who is called God of Death. As for me, well I can at least show you what a true Master of War is"

Gildart closed his eyes and then took a deep breath.

Then he opened his eyes, but the moment he opened his eyes, a wild wind spread around the arena and then a heavy aura fall on the arena

*boom*

And in that second all defense spells were broken in the blink and every single person felt the heavy aura that forced them to bow and put their head on the ground

"Allow me to show you a tip of my true strength" Gildart said and in the next moment he disappeared.

*thud*

Gildart appeared behind Anzai and then lightly attacked at the back of her neck and she falls down unconscious

With this, Gildart removed his aura and the match has ended.

The ending of the match wasn't what most of the people expected but still it was an amazing one and after the match, Gildart visited Adventure guild and finally upgraded his rank to S+, as he had won over Anzai Hana.

In the night, when Gildart was going back to his room in Inn, he was greeted by a female at the Inn's door.

It was Anzai Hana

"Any reason for coming?" Gildart asked with a calm tone

"My Queen, wants to meet you" She replied back to him and then a carriage came in front of Gildart.

"Queen, huh?" Gildart pondered for a while and then left with Anazai in the carriage.

Soon they both reach a big palace and then they both entered inside the palace. Following Anzai, Gildart reached to a big door.

*Knock-Knock*

Anzai knocked on the door and said "Aoi sama, he is here"

After a second a voice came from inside the room, "Let him come" and then the door opened.

Before entering, Anzai turned towards Gildart and said "She is a queen so show some respect"

And then both of them entered

Inside-

The room was just way too big and filled with all types of expensive stuff.

In the middle, there were sofas around a big table. And among one sofa, 2 females were sitting.

One was a small girl, which Gildart has met in the very beginning and the other one is surely the queen.

Anzai, when saw the queen bowed but Gildart was standing as usual. She glared at him but he didn't look at him.

Seeing the funny scene in front of her, the Queen smiled a little and then said "Hana, Chiyo, would you both leave us alone for a while?"

"No mama, he might be an evil person we can't leave you," Chiyo, the small girl in white dress said to her mother but she didn't listen to her call.

"I have something private to talk, please both of you leave"

Anzai tried to persuade her queen but in the end she surrendered and follow the orders, taking Chiyo and herself out of the room.

But before she left, she glared at Gildart and said: "Don't even think to do something or else *touching her sword*"

*Door closes*

"Shall we have some talk now?"
