A new day

There was faint knocking on the front door. Rose peeked at her little clock. "It's only 7:00 not even 7:30 yet." She said out loud to herself. "That guy can't be here this early already? I mean he's pretty dang cute and nice..." her face turned red mentioning that. She rolled over away from the clock. "Just 15 more mins!" She yelled at the knocker. "Haha. What ?" They asked in a husky voice. "Come on sleepy head, I told you I'd be here early, plus you wanted me early didn't you ?" He asked excitedly. She realized whom it was at the front door. "Oh, it really is you Aarie... crap, my bad I'll hurry up and get ready." She sat up in her bed, her hair was a mess. "Uggh" she groaned. "You alright in there ?" Aarie asked. "Ok, I'm coming in already! It's been 3 minutes." Roses eyes got all big. "What! Your impatient ! Only 3 mins big deal dude!" The door opened quickly with a cold gust of air blowing through. She gasped. "What the hell dude?!" Rose said feeling shy with bed head and being in a light night gown. She quickly covered herself back up with the blanket including her head. "Uhh, why are you hiding ? Thought you said you where hurrying up and getting ready ??" Aarie said with a snarky attitude. Rose was silent. "Uhh are you dead in there?" Aarie asked stupidly. Rose rolled her eyes under her blanket. "Yeah dumb ass I'm dead...you shouldn't barge into peoples rooms like that you know! What if.... what if I was like... naked or something like that?" She said in a serious tone. Aarie sighed. "Dang... I'm sorry, Rose. I made an ass of myself." Rose rolled her eyes. "No kidding! Now get out so I can get ready..." Aarie bowed and walked out of the small building. Rose smiled. "Good, he better listen to me. Kinda rude. Who does he think he is barging in here ?" She said to herself. Aarie slammed the door on the way out. "For reals? What a brat." Rose said. She got up and finally got dressed and brushed her lovely long blond curly hair. She sighed. "Really hope mom is doing ok..." she mumbled to herself with a frown. Then she got up and walked to the front door and opened it. "Now you can come in and see me..." she was looking at Aarie, but for some reason he was staring off into the distance with his arms crossed like something was on his mind. He wasn't paying attention to what Rose said. She gently poked his arm. "Uhh, you doing ok Aarie ?" She asked with concernment. "Oh! You caught me off guard, my bad. Yeah I'm ok. Just missing some one today... also, sorry I was rude and barged into your room like that. I just get all excited when I make new friends and I want them to like me, so I try and make myself seem friendly.., maybe I am pushing it too far." He smirked. His green eyes fixated on Roses blue eyes. "You are quite lovely Rose..." Aarie said gently. Rose blushed. "Ohh... uh thank you! Well, I accept your apology... and... and I think your a great new friend and appreciate you... so, shall we start the day now ? You lead the way!" Aarie smiled and grabbed roses hand gently. "Alright, lets go meet new people !" They settled off into the little town of Groggum, but Aarie had some other plans up his sleeve...

"Aarie... where are we going?" Rose asked as they walked off into a beautiful green meadow with flowers and ferns all over. "Don't worry my friend, you shall see." Aarie smiled and held her hand into the meadow. There was a weird fog as they walked inside the hidden area. There was owls hooting around. "This place makes me feel a little uneasy, Aarie..." Rose said clinging closer to Aaries side. He smiled as she got closer to him. He turned around with his face in front of hers, she looked up at him since he's a bit taller than she is. "What is it?" She asked him. He gently stroked her face with his hand. She turned red and turned her face away so he wouldn't see. "Can I ask you something miss Rose?" He mumbled to her. She shrugged. "Sure ?" She said still hiding her face. "Are you missing your family lately ?" He asked randomly. "Yes... I sure am." She told him. "Well, don't worry I will help you find them some day. When the time is right. I too am missing a family member." He said squeezing her hand playfully. "Also, have you had a boyfriend before, Rose?" He asked with a serious tone. She froze unsure of what to say. "Uhh... sort of? But the guy was an ass." She said and un hid her face from him, she was looking down at his boots. Aarie leaned his face down to her level. "Well, I won't be an ass to you..." he told her. "Maybe one day we can be more than just friends ? I know it's a bit soon to say all of this... but I'm taken away by your rare beauty." He said sweetly. Her face turned super red. Then she looked up at him not realizing how close his face was this time. Those deep green eyes of his where easy to get lost in. He has so many little freckles but she couldn't keep count of them. "You don't have to answer me just yet." He laughed. "Uhh.." Rose said hesitantly. "Let's keep going into this beautiful but creepy meadow." She said smiling and she took several steps in front of Aarie. "Woah, I'm supposed to take lead. I know this place like the back of my hand. Your new here so... let me sweetheart." Aarie laughed at Rose and gently grabbed her arm again. Then Aarie let out a whistle. Rose turned to him. "Why are you whistling ?" She asked. "Shhh, I'm trying to summon my pet. Sometimes she likes to hide." Aarie said looking into the fog. Then the bushes started to shake. Rose backed up more. "Are you sure that's your pet in there ?" She asked in a scared tone. Aarie laughed. "I'll never put you in danger you can seriously trust me..." he said as he kept his eyes out in the distance. Aarie turned around to look at Rose with a worried face. "Umm... I don't think that is my cat. You should head back to the village." Rose gasped. "What the hell are you talking about ?!" Aarie stuck his hand over her mouth. "No time to explain let's get out of here!" Rose sighed she usually senses if there's rogues lurking around but this time it was something else. They rushed back to the village.
