Rose's 4th day of training went well. Izabeth showed her how to shoot further with the bow and arrows, and taught her how to wear heavy metal gear. She also taught her how to walk and shoot at the same time, that was super hard for Rose to do because it was multitasking, but walking when shooting. Who the heck does that? Rose sat in bed remembering what she was doing yesterday. She was able to walk and shoot at the same time and she hit the targets but not in the middle spot. She was told she did very well for a beginner once again. Aarie was with her again as well. He still didn't give her the praise she wanted.
'I don't think Aarie likes me as much as he used to' Rose thought to herself. Wondering why he wasn't as affectionate lately and why he wasn't as talkative either, something was up with him. He wasn't even that excited at dinner with her either. She sat there not wanting to see him today. She looked down at the book he gave her.
There was a quiet knock at the front door. Rose got excited. "Come in Aarie !" She yelled for him to come in right away. As he walked in the room he had something behind him as if he where hiding whatever it was.
"What do you have behind you Aarie ?" Rose asked concerned. This attitude of his isn't like him at all. "I got you something. Hope you like it." He handed her a vase with flowers in it. The flowers where pretty pink roses and some yellow daisies. "I picked them myself this morning. I wanted to apologize for my attitude lately. I just want to get closer to you... but I'm not going about it the right way." He sighed putting his head down. Rose was happy and smiled then said "that was so nice of you and thank you for the apology. I did notice you acting odd lately and not being as talkative. Everything ok with you ?" He nodded. "Yes, it's just that my mother had my baby brother a bit early a few days ago, and well... he's not doing too well." Rose gasped at this. "Is... is he going to be ok?! Oh no I'm
So sorry." Aarie starched his head. "There's not much we can do for him. He's sick. We aren't too sure what it is either. My mother is already heart broken trying her best..." he looked down sad. He sighed resting his hands in his face. Rose stared at him. "You going to be ok Aarie ? I'm here for you. If there's anything you need please let me know." He looked up at her. "I'm going to need a great healer for my baby brother. Then that would probably make him better. I'm going to have to go to Undercity to find this healer." He said with a stern look on his face.
"What the heck is Undercity?" Rose asked. Aarie raised his brow. "The main city that the Horde visit for goods and such and they have a healer there and some other specialists."She looked at him confused. "Why not a healer in the Alliance lands ?pretty sure we have several here. I think my parents even mentioned that." Rose said staring at him. Aarie shrugged. "Don't worry about it. We would need an assassin rogue any ways to do this task to find this healer. This healer is part horde and part alliance to answer your question."
Rose looked surprised in hearing this about the healer being both alliance and horde. She thought it was strange how Aarie requested a healer from the lands of the Horde instead of finding one in their Alliance territory. She knew that wouldn't be safe at all. Even if they asked an assassin rogue she didn't want to risk that rogues life either. Rose scooted towards Aarie and stuck her hand on top of his to say "things will get better don't worry. Your baby brother will be fine I can assure you. We will find a great Priest healer to pray over him to give him a protection spell. I know there's one around. My mother got sick once when I was about 13, my father searched for this healer and she healed my mom pretty well from what I can remember." She smiled looking up at him to try and get him to be happy. Aarie caught hold of her eyes with his green ones, he squeezed her hand and went to kiss it. "You sure are a kind soul Rose. I'm so glad I found you and saved you. Your such a great friend. I think I'm..." Aarie couldn't find the words he wanted to say or he was too shy to finish the sentence.
"We can ask people around this town. You've been in this area pretty much all of your life. I'm sure you know there's healers here. Well we are in a healers house after all, why not ask Sillicus ?" Aarie stared at Rose as she asked that. "You are right, but Sillicus only specializes in miner wounds like the cuts and burns that you had when I found you, not inner wounds, the baby is sick inside. And we can't ask a Druid since they are healers of land." Aarie sighed.
"Well it still wouldn't hurt to ask her if she personally knows of some one. Let's make that top priority for today." She smiled and went to kiss his cheek. Aaries face turned red from her soft kiss. He stared at her intently.
Rose leaned away from him. "What ? Did you not like that?" Aarie laughed at her. "No I liked that a lot actually..." he put his face closer to hers as if he wanted to kiss her back. Rose's eyes grew wide. He softly went to touch her cheek and then picked up the side of her hair to twirl it with his finger. She looked at him questioningly with red cheeks.
"You sure are pretty Rose. Maybe your parents named you Rose because you almost always look like you have blush on your cheeks, or maybe your starting to like me? Hmm." He leaned in to kiss her right cheek back. But he stayed there as if he wanted to kiss her more. Rose didn't know how to act with this, but she just sat there. She hasn't known this young man for that long yet. It's only been 14 days now since she's been here. But she's starting to grow some feelings for him. He really is so gentle and sweet to her even if he's grumpy at times. He did save her and he is paying for her hunter training after all.
"We should get going then." Aarie said catching Rose off guard as she was daydreaming of him kissing her more. "Yes that would be nice." She smiled shyly.
"Did you sleep good last night after your training ? You sure have been pretty bad ass lately with how good your doing. Wish you could see yourself hit those targets and move the way you do." Aarie said finally giving her praise that she was wanting. She blushed."aww, gosh thanks Aarie. I still haven't seen you do your training yet. I want to see how good you are." Aarie rubbed his prickly chin. "Oh don't worry you will see me use my skills pretty soon. You still have a lot to learn about me. You don't really know me." She raised her brow at this. "Well... and you don't really know me that well either silly. I can't wait to see you out there using your bow and arrows."
Aarie went to pick up the book he gave her. "Have you been reading it ?" She smiled at him. "Yes I'm already on page 20. It's pretty helpful. And I want a hunter pet some day soon too! Where can I go to get one ?" She asked excitedly. "That we will have to do some other time, further down the road actually. I do have a pet of my own. She lives in the forest and comes whenever I call her. Her name is Blacksnow. She's a saber tooth cat." Rose's eyes got super bright. "No fricken way! I want to see her please please let me see her ?!" She bounced up and down on the bed. He laughed at her. "You will soon. She's only fond of me though, so that being said I don't know if she will like you."
"Would she hurt me if she doesn't like me?" Rose pouted. "No she would never hurt others unless I ordered her to do so. She just gets all growly at people. She's kind of a bitchy cat haha. You should get ready for the day and change out of that sleeping gown. I like your night gown though." He stared at her noticing she didn't have a bra on underneath. He could see her hard nipples. Rose realized what he was looking at and quickly turned around. "Uhhh yes I'll get ready! Go on out now." Aarie laughed at her and got up to walk out of the room.
Later on that day they went for a nice needed walk. "Aarie are you ever going to show me your hunter skills ?" He stopped and thought for a moment. "Hmmm, ok fine since you keep asking." He took the bag off his back and took out his thick brown bow and also took out two arrows. He then climbed a weeping willow tree. "Where you going ?" Rose asked watching him swiftly climbing up the tree. He sat on the highest branch. He looked off into the distance and shot his first arrow. "Got it !" He yelled and jumped down like a cat landing on his feet. "What the hell ?" Rose gasped at how crafty he was.
He walked off 10 feet and grabbed the little critter that he shot. It was a large Wapertinger. Which is a bunny with small horns. Rose got sad seeing the critter with an arrow through its neck. "Why'd you have to shoot a wapertinger for ? They are too cute to die." Aarie sighed. "I wanted to show you my skills. I won't do it again sorry." He then grabbed a small skinning knife and began to skin it. "I also know how to skin and do leather work." Rose looked impressed at this. "Wow that's pretty cool my dad also is a leather worker on the side he's been doing that for years and is super good at it."
Aarie smiled at Rose and took out his leather working tools and began to make Rose some finger less gloves. It only took him only 15 mins as he sat under the tree. He handed her the gloves. "For you." Rose smiled widely. "No way!! Aww, Aarie your too sweet!" She stuck them on her hands and turned around to kiss his cheek again. "Your such a kind friend." She blushed saying this to him. "I forgive you for shooting the wapertinger. Thank you for the gift." She hugged him. Aarie hugged her back tightly smelling her long lovely blond curly hair, it smelt like honey and daisies.
"So in the next 3 days I can teach you how to do light leather working and skinning once you do your training." Aarie told rose as he packed up his stuff in his large brown back pack. He took the horns off the small dead creature and stuck them in his bag, along with a cut off rabbits foot for good luck. He handed the other rabbits foot to Rose. "Thanks ?" She asked him feeling weird for having a dead animals foot. "It's for good luck and to keep demons away." Aarie said with a serious face. "really now ? Where'd you hear that from?" Aarie laughed. "It's true a Druid told me that the Wopertingers have good luck and they keep away the demons. They are a special creature. That's why when u kill them you have to keep as much of their body parts as you can."
"Would something bad happen if you didn't keep the body parts?" Rose asked him intrigued. "Nah, just that they are a little magical to keeping the bad things away is all." He said leaning against the willow tree. Rose tilted her head. "Interesting, guess you learn something new everyday."
They spent half the day there in Star Dust forest. It wasn't too far from the town of Groggum, then there's Twilight forest which is south from Star Dust Forest, only a 20 min walk. And about 3 hours away from Twilight Forest lays Rose's home burnt to ruins in the small town of Goldsboro.
On there way back to take Rose home after having a small snack from one of the vendors in the town, they happened to spot a pretty little black cat staring at them with big yellow eyes. "Hi kitty! Can I pet you?" Rose asked excitedly. It hissed and ran away. "Aww man." She frowned. Aarie laughed.
"Have a great night Rose. Thanks for letting me spend the day with you. Well I mean we always do, but I liked it a lot." He hugged her tightly. "Goodnight sweet Aarie" she kissed his cheek. He blushed and walked out the door.
