They started to walk away from the town of Groggum heading towards the forest on foot. Aarie looked at Rose she looked a bit worried. "It's going to be fine Rose nothing will get you." He assured her. She walked hesitantly behind him clutching her back pack. "I've go a weird feeling right now like some body is watching us." She looked around scanning the forest.
"Like I said don't worry about anything, we will be fine." Aarie sighed shaking his head. "I'm a pretty decent hunter you know." Rose smiled at him saying that. "Alright that's good to hear thanks for the reassurance..." she mumbled.
There was howling in the distance. Rose moved closer to Aarie. He laughed at her. "The wolves aren't going to get us." Then there was a mans scream following after words. "Ummm what the hell was that?!" Rose said as she grabbed his shirt. "Let's go back we are going back to the village now!" Rose told him. "We can't go back... my baby brother needs help. Maybe some one is doing training and shot themselves with an arrow or got cut with a knife." Aarie said shrugging as if he wasn't really bothered with the scream.
"You really don't care about that scream? What if some one needs our help?!" Rose yelled at him. "We don't have the time! Either you are going to go with me to find this damn healer, or I'm leaving you behind. The choice is yours Rose. I don't want to hear your shit!" Aarie glared at her angrily crossing his muscular arms. Rose stopped where she was. Staring at him holding back tears after he yelled and spoke to her like that. 'I didn't mean to piss him off like that.' She thought to herself and contemplated if she wanted to head back to the town on her own. She didn't want to be in this damn forest any ways.
"Ok... if you don't want me around any more then I'll go do my own thing if that's what you desire." She said glaring at him. He huffed and wiped the sweat off his four head. "I'm sorry... but you are getting on my nerves. I don't care for other people that we don't even know. I don't befriend many people around here any ways for a good reason. I would rather you come with me... you are my only friend. I can't do this alone." He walked over to her placing his hand on her shoulder. "Sorry for yelling at you. I'm just eager to help my new baby brother Jamson. We don't have much further to go." He grabbed her hand and squeezed it.
"Ok. Let's keep going then." Rose sighed and walked with him further into the forest. There was a deep fog in the forest as they walked deeper into it. Running into giant plants and shrubs. Rose was happy that the dress she wore was long so she wouldn't get scratched up, and she also had some nice brown boots on underneath. There where several deers that stopped in front of them pausing for a few seconds and then dashing away.
"Aarie?" Rose asked, he turned around to look at her. "Yeah what is it?" "What where you thinking when you found me here in the middle of the night and unconscious? Why did you save me?" Aaries brows furrowed. "Why would I not save you? Who the hell would leave a young beautiful woman laying on the ground burnt up inside a forest in the middle of the night ?" She shrugged. "Sometimes I wish it where me... that I was the one who got taken away instead of my mother... I wonder if my father or sister are even looking for her. Hope they don't get caught too. I know they are the strongest of the family especially my dad, but even he can't defeat the Horde alone.... my sister is good with stealth mode, but I don't know..." Rose stared at the ground and shrubs.
"Well... we will figure it out one day." He said staring at her, and rubbing her hand with his fingers.
"Have you ever lost some one from the horde Aarie ?" Rose asked suddenly. "Yes." He looked away and pulled his hand away from hers.
They continued to walk further in the forest, both of them really quiet on what all they've said to each other. They saw several small houses in the distance with trees around them. Aarie looked at the small paper the priest gave him earlier, she drew out a map for him. He had a compass with him to help direct them to where they need to go.
"So it'll be the that red house to the right of us." Aarie pointed at an old beat up red house. The house gave off a weird vibe that made Rose more iffy.
Walking up the front steps Aarie knocked on the old ragged brown door. He looked at Rose questioningly. "What is it?" She s whispered to him. "Is it me or is this place a little creepy?" Aarie asked. "Yeah I thought I was the only one who felt that way." Rose sighed. The door quietly opened, but nobody came out.
"Uh, hello ?" Aarie asked trying to see if any one was there. Then suddenly a large fluffy tan cat jumped out meowing at them. "What the heck, what's up with healers and them having weird cats ?" The big tom cat glared at them sitting on the front step. "Do you need to speak to my owner ?" The cat asked them.
Their eyes got big after hearing the cat speak. "Have you never heard a cat speak before ? Don't be coy." The Tom cat rolled his eyes. Then the door opened further with a medium height elf woman standing with a long purple and white dress on. She had very long white hair like white as snow and bright striking blue eyes. She also had these markings on her face as if it where makeup or tattoos on her eyes that where shaped as light grey leaves one over each eye. "May I help you?" She asked staring at them with soft eyes.
Aarie tensed up seeing the beautiful woman. "Uhh yes, we where sent here by the priestess named Sillicus, we need to ask you something, or ask you a favor if possible." He said and then she answered him. "Oh, yes come on in. Don't mind my cat Mr.Floofs he's got quite an attitude." The Tom cat hissed at what she said. "Oh hush, unless you want to eat out of the garbage tonight." She glared at him. The cat stuck his head up in the air. "Fine I'll behave" he said as his long tan fuzzy tail brushed the door on its way inside. The lady shook her head.
"My cat is something else, but I love him. Oh I'm Coil by the way. My full name is Coiled Light, but just call me Coil." She smiled meeting aaries green eyes, she didn't aknowladge Rose behind him. Making Rose feel irritated and a little jealous. Aarie turned around and said "this is my best friend Rose, and I'm Aarie." He smiled back at Coil. Rose was happy that he happened to mention her.
"Oh where are my manners? Come on in you guys, take a seat on the couch." They walked in after Coil, the floors of the old house creeked with every step they took. Spider webs covered the walls and black curtains. There was a giant black widow spider in one corner of the wall that made Rose shudder in fear. Aarie caught site of it and backed up a bit. "Dude! There's a huge ass black widow on your wall!" He yelled at Coiled Light. "Ohh I know" she laughed. "She's my pet." Rose and Aarie looked at each other big eyed. "She won't eat you or bite you, unless you where to piss me or her off." Coil said leaning on her hand as she sat on her small blue cushioned chair, this woman was weird but so beautiful, one couldn't help but stare at her even if they where a straight female.
"How old are you Coil?" Aarie happened to ask without thinking. "I'm 20." She said smiling at him. 'Damn shes a Beauty' Aarie thought to himself. Rose stared at him heating up with jealousy. "You need to ask her if she's able to help heal an inner sickness, that's why we are here." Rose said angrily at Aarie.
He looked at her and said. "Yeah that's right... can you help heal my new born baby brother ? He is internally sick. I was told that you help with internal sicknesses?" He asked her and she nodded her head. "Of course I do. I have potions, and I have bottles with prayers in them that will help with just about any internal sickness." Aarie smiled with a huge smile. "That is the best news I've heard in a long time!" Coil laughed at him. "Oh, your so cute. I am after all a shaman. Witch is a little higher up than a priest because we heal inner sicknesses, or wounds, whiles priests can only do outside ones, depending on how deep they go too. I can do outside wounds too. I do ask for higher prices than a priest would. My potions are not cheap. They do good work too. Many people stop by here to get potions from me. I do need a better house, but this will do for now." She leaned back half smiling at Aarie and then looked at Rose. "Would you like anything Rose?" Coil asked her. "No I'm ok, thank you any ways. If I ever do need anything I'll ask you..." Rose made herself smile at the lovely woman. Rose was almost as beautiful as Coil, but her white hair, softer voice and her darker tan made her a little more attractive that made those bright blue eyes stick out more.
"I have a range of inner healing potions..." Coil got up to look through her cabinet of potions. "Depends on what the symptoms are that will match up with the description on the back of the potion.., it's a little tricky." She reached inside it looking through the potions for ones meant for infants and or babies up to a certain age. "Ah here's one..." she grabbed a blue bright potion almost as bright as her eyes then handed it to Aarie.
He stared at the potion. "Is there any negatives to this if it doesn't work ?" He asked her concerned. "Oh, it will work. They usually do. There's never any negative side affects with them any ways. So you have no troubles." She said staring at him being sure of herself. "Well... thank you. Also..." he grabbed the coins out of his pocket. "Here's 100 coins." He said sticking them on her book pile. "Hope it's enough." Coils eyes grew wide. "That's perfect." She grabbed the money and stuck it into a bag. Rose stared at her wondering if she was a fake.
"Well, thank you guys for stopping by, may your journey be blessed and may this potion heal the baby. I'm happy to be of service." She bowed her head at them with her hands together.
"Much appreciated. We will be visiting you soon." Aarie told her with a smile as he got up to leave with Rose following him behind. The big cat Mr.Floofs got up to walk with them to the door.
"Bye handsome kitty." Rose said to the cat waving at it. He purred at her with his green eyes closing them. "Ahh, you guys are falling in love I can feel it." The cat said to them. They looked at each other confused. "What ?" Rose asked the cat. "I am a magical cat of a shaman you know I can sense things." He licked his paw. "Errr, ok." Aarie scratched his head and went out the door. Rose looked at the cat then towards the door. "See ya." She said waving at the cat then looking at Coil with her bright eyes. "Thanks." She waved at the shaman. Coil bowed again.
They headed off back to their home town as the sun started to go down further, making them hurry towards home.
