Rose and Aarie walked through Stormwind hand in hand with the night sky shining brightly. Rose was supposed to do her dungeon quest required by the king of stormwind himself, but she couldn't find him, or her guard Mike.
As Rose and Aarie walked past a group of night elves, dwarves, and humans, they happened to find Mike the Wargan there. Rose gasped and looked at Mike and said "there you are ! Why did you leave me under this damn castle ?! You are supposed to be my guard and not let anything happen to me!" Rose said very upset and staring at Mike intently. Mike raised his black brow at her.
"I had to talk with the king about some things that doesn't really concern you. My apologies. But you where safe with Stella. Plus, that being said there's literally six guards under there any ways." Mike scoffed at her. Rose sighed and rubbed her head.
"So is this quest canceled then ? Because that would be very nice." Rose said feeling tired. Mike nodded at her question. "I'm afraid not. It's been post poned to tomorrow morning." He said and looked at Aarie smiling at him. Aarie just stood there not saying anything.
"So... tomorrow morning ? Can't I just not go ? Tell the king I'm sick." Rose said, and had Mike glaring at her unimpressed. She pulled Aerie's hand to walk away with him by not wanting to speak to Mike any more. This caught his attention and he walked towards them.
"Where do you think you are going ? I'm not even finished with speaking to you just yet. I'm your guard after all, and you need to not be rude to me." Mike said sternly like Rose was being childish. She was just over today and over Mike's crap.
Rose turned her head over her shoulder to look at him and she rolled her eyes at Mike. This had Mike laughing in an irritated way. Aarie threw some glares at him.
"Want me to just tell the king your being disrespectful ? Maybe a day in the dungeons cell would be better than questing in the dungeon itself." Mike said to Rose with his arms crossed over his chest tilting his head. Rose huffed at what he just said. "Excuse me?! Who the hell do you think you are to threaten a woman ?!" Rose said furiously to Mike. This only fueled the man up amusing him. He was feeling entertained by Roses anger.
"Seriously, you are an ass hole and your king is an even bigger creepy ass hole at that! Tell him to find some one else to bug about a damn quest I know nothing about!" Rose said to Mike and this made Aarie stop and stare at what she just said. "Damn Rose you should probably be more careful how you word things to these people. You don't want to be thrown in the jail or dungeon whatever you call it." Aarie shook his head and looked at Mike to say "On the other hand..." Aarie paused then roll a deep breath "Stop telling my girl what to do like you own her. We are through with you." Aarie said puffing his chest up and pulling Rose with him. This had Mike become angry and he started to shake.
People around Mike started backing up slowly. "What the hells wrong with that guy?!" A dwarf man yelled. "He might be shape shifting !" A Gnome woman yelled back and ran the other direction taking her basket of goods with her.
Mike began to get hairy... he started to shape shift into his Wargan form. Since Mike's been one of the guards of Stormwind for a year now, most people knew to not cross him when he's angry.
His teeth and mouth grew longer making him look like a huge intimidating wolf. He sat there in his form huffing for air, it takes quite a bit of energy to transform into a Wargan wolf. Wargans are a little bigger than werewolves and stronger. That makes them cousins of the werewolves.
Aarie stared at him feeling a little afraid now. He stood in front of Rose protecting her. Mike shook his wolf head at him. "Really, you both have pissed me off now. I couldn't help but transform... so, I'll have to just sit here and wait to go back to my original human form. Because I'm pretty dangerous as of right now." He said with his glowing white eyes now looking intimidating and dangerous.
Aarie shrugged at Mike. He was not impressed and just wanted to go home already. "I just want to go home already... Rose is tired. We are done. Can we please go now?" Aarie asked trying to be nice to not rile Mike up even further.
They stared at each other for a few moments longer. "Sure. Go home." Mike growled. "Don't even come back tomorrow." He warned to Rose staring at her.
Rose narrowed her eyes trying to get what Mike meant. "What do you mean don't come back?? Am I going to be in trouble ?" She asked worried about being thrown into that dungeon.
Mike took a deep breath "I don't know. I'll talk to the king. Just go. Now." He commanded them as if it was becoming a threat now.
Aarie took Rose and started to quickly walk out of the castle. Not looking back, they hurriedly walked back to their home village. It was dark out, but they didn't care, the stars and planets in the sky helped light their way home.
Breathing heavily from the hour walk back home, Aarie turned to Rose to see if she was ok since she was tired and the trip made her even more tired. "Are you ok? Please talk to me." He told her worried about her. Rose just looked straight ahead not saying a word.
"Ok then. Maybe I'll ask you later. But when we get back to your room we have some stuff to talk about." Rose stared at Aarie after he said this. "Ok." She said sternly. Aarie sighed at her.
"We are almost there. I think maybe we should move away Rose. This place isn't safe any more. It's too close to that guy." Aarie said not liking Mike more and more as the days went by.
Rose tiredly shook her head looking up at Aarie, then looked at the door to unlocking it and stepping into her room finally. As Rose plopped in the bed not caring to change her day clothes, Aarie went to sit beside her stretching his arms and taking off his shirt, he then laid beside her.
"Rose." He breathed, this caught her attention. She finally looked at him laying next to each other on the bed. "We should leave soon. I think Mike is nothing but trouble, and your refusal to do that damn quest is even worse. This king... I don't even want to deal with his ass. Dealing with Mike is enough stress. Let's leave in a few hours? You can get some rest then we can pack up and go. We will ride my cat away from here..." Aarie said sighing and looking up at the ceiling. Rose scooted closer to him and sleepily stuck her head on his bare chest hearing his strong heart beat. She let out a sigh, then dozed off into sleep. Aarie patted Roses head as she fell asleep on his chest. He wasn't sure what he was going to do now with a pissed off Wargan and on top of that the vampire King might be after Rose and probably him too. He looked at the ceiling and then finally fell into sleep.
