Stormwind #4

Rose finally finished the book she was assigned to. It took her 2 hours to read! She was exhausted and eyes where a little heavy from all that reading.

She put the book down and stretched in the chair at Stellas desk. The butler came in with some refreshments. "Would of been nice to have something to drink like an hour ago." Rose mumbled quietly trying to not sound rude.

The butler bowed at them after setting the drinks on the desk, then he proceeded to leave the room, walking like he was trained to be very proper.

Rose gulped down her warm tea enjoying every bit of it. It helped warm her up along with the black coat she still had on since they where underground still.

Stella finally finished the book she was reading as well. Then she went to check her little watch in her drawer again. "It's nearing that time for the quest!" Stella said excitedly. This woke Rose up by startling her. She's not really used to hearing Stella get excited over things. She's more of the calmer type of people.

Stella laughed at Roses wide eyes. "Did I scare you? Sorry for that. You will do fine in this quest I know it. Also, can you feed my cat for me on your way there ? He likes to sneak off a lot. His name is Gar Gar, he's big, fluffy, and orange, with white on his feet. He's a gentle cat. I can have the butler give you a box with the cats food in it on your way out. I really appreciate it !" Stella said her soft blue eyes staring at Rose happily.

Rose breathed in deeply and said "yes I can do that. I love cats. Especially the talking ones..." she said happily but also unsure of the magical cats. She looked at Stella questioningly "so this quest, is it going to be easy ?" Stella nodded and frowned at Roses question. "I'm afraid not, but if some one where to die, then they will be resurrected. It's a long process, but it's doable. It's really hard to explain how the Shamans go about it. They really are more powerful than us priests." Stella said looking at her book shelves full of books, some of them starting to collect dust and spider webs.

Stella turned around to look at Rose and said "so this quest will have you and the 4 others go into the dungeon with prisoners to see if you can question them, you have to see if they are worthy enough to be released, of course there's more to it than simply questioning them.there's also some Horde there too..." She said trailing in thought about the dungeon. "It's a scary place. The king isn't going in there with you guys either. That's why you have his guard Mike." Rose grew more worried. 'Why me?!' She thought afraid.

Stella went to stand by Rose. "Don't be so afraid. Like I said, there will be a shaman that can resurrect if any one does die..." Stella repeated what she said earlier to try and reassure Rose.

Rose sighed and she didn't feel happy about this at all. She started to grow even more nervous as the hours and minutes went by. Stella gave Rose her bag with her bow and arrows in it.

Rose thanked her. "It's time to get ready." Stella said to Rose as she took the puffy black jacket off so she could fit her backpack on. "Sorry, but this jacket is in the way. Tell the King thanks it was comfy in the mean time." Rose said and bowed at Stella.

Rose went to the door, but looking back at Stella sighing once again not ready for this. "Really I don't want to do this!" Rose complained to Stella.

Stella shook her head. "I will say a prayer for you. God does have your back you know. And then you have Mike, and oh, not to mention that waperringers foot as well. Those bad spirits in the dungeon won't mess with you. You have a good heart I can tell." Stella smiled at her and then she whispered a prayer for Rose. "Thank you for that. Also, thank you for your time and lending me your book here in this room. I owe you, Stella." Rose smiled back bowing at the priestess, then finally leaving the room to head back into the kings throne room to check on Mike.

As soon as Rose got back into the room, the King wasn't in there, only his guards standing like statues on either side of the kings red carpet that went to his throne. There was 3 on each side of the carpet. Rose looked at the guards carefully not wanting to piss any of them off, some of them looked scary with dark red eyes like the kings, and some with glowing eyes like Mikes. Rose bowed at them.

"Does any one know where Mike went off to?" She asked scared of what their reply might be.

One of the guards took off his helmet and went to say "yes, he and the King himself went outside of the room into the main parts of Stormwind. They are gathering information that's needed for this upcoming dungeon quest." The tall human guard said, his expression unchanged and he went to stick back on his helmet over his sweaty brown hair.

Rose smiled at the guard. "Thank you for the information and your time mr. Guard!" She bowed back and then hurried out of the room.

Finally coming out from underneath stormwind she felt so much better and les claustrophobic. Looking around her as the lanterns a of stormwind got lit up, and people walking by closing down doors to shops, she noticed it was now dark out. The moon and planets shining in the sky along with the stars. The sun barely even there on the opposite part of the sky almost done setting for the night.

Rose let out a sleepy yawn. She looked for Mike and Aarie worried. "Aarie ??" She whispered and looked all over for him in the city of the castle. She got tired and sat down at an old rusty bench by a willow tree behind it.

Sitting there trying to not fall asleep, she heard a noise behind her and the bench. She turned around scared, but she noticed it was the cat that the priestess told her about ! She forgot to ask the butler for his food.

"Oh look! It's Gar Gar! I'm so sorry I don't have your food for you, I was in a hurry since people decided to leave me alone in the room." The orange cat looked at her tilting its furry head with its huge orange eyes.

The cat started to purr. "It's ok night elf. I already had a rat any ways. You can tell my master that I am fine. I'll see her later tonight." The orange cat said licking his paw.

Rose smiled at the magical cat and then said "well, ok then, I just felt bad."

The cat laughed "it's ok, the rat fed me pretty good! I might not even need breakfast in the morning. It was a fat one." Gar Gar purred jumping up in Roses lap rubbing himself against her. This made Rose smile and forget about the quest.

"Your such a nice kitty." She said patting him. The cat turned around to look behind them. "Somebody is here for you, elf." Gar Gar said to Rose as he was looking at Aarie in his shadowmeld form. Rose turned around not being able to see anything.

"What ? Who?" Rose asked looking all over worried. Then suddenly Aarie jumped out of the shadows scaring her. "What the hell !" Rose said jumping out of her spot on the old bench. The cat fell on his feet. "My gosh." Gar Gar said staring at the couple. "Next time warn me when you jump out of a seat." Gar Gar hissed with his fur standing up.

Aarie smiled brightly at Rose and he went to hug her tightly. "I didn't mean to scare you that badly. It's good to see you !" He kissed her cheek after taking off his mask.

Rose smiled and said "your crazy! You can't go with me into that dungeon you could get caught and even get in trouble from the King himself! It's not worth it." Rose said grabbing Aaries face.

Aarie grinned at what she said. He was stubborn. "I can do whatever I want. I'm a strong hunter remember ? I still have not shown you my moves. Plus I can lie and say the king assigned me so no one will even make a fuss." Aarie said winking at Rose. She only shook her head at him. The orange cat stared at Aarie with his big orange eyes as they glowed with the fresh night sky.

"What time are you even going to this so called quest ??" Aarie asked Rose. She shrugged at him unsure of when she's even supposed to go to it now. "I don't even know any more. The king took off, and that dang Mike is gone too. A guard said they are out here in Stormwind somewhere."

Rose looked off into the little village inside of the castle. She couldn't see Mike anywhere or that king. "Looks like they don't need me that badly after all. Maybe I can go home. Let's leave. Come on Aarie." Rose got up and grabbed Aaries hand. The cat shook his head at her. "Your going to get into trouble miss." Gar Gar said rubbing himself against her leg.

Rose looked down at the cat. "Well, I don't want to wait around and I don't want to do this quest !" She complained and then pulled Aarie along with her.

Aarie stopped midway and said "I don't know maybe you should do that quest or at least look for that weird Mike guy... how about we look together and I can pretend I'm only here for merchandise and ran into you ?"

Rose smiled at Aarie's idea and they went off to search for Mike and the mean king in Stormwind.
