CHAPTER 8

A gush of voices will be heard when someone wearing a black suit graced the occasion. The man directly came in front of Grandfather Lu and gave his respect by bowing. He looked around thirty years old and like a noble man that came out from those romantic books. Grandfather was glad that the man came. He came from another country and a descendant of his old friend way back decades ago.

"Hello, Grandfather Lu! Sorry I was late! My flight was late. Where's the little miss? Channing Lopez inquired. "She's over there. Do you still remember her? Channing nodded and asked, "who are these little men? As soon as the twins saw and heard Channing, they were charmed. "Uncle, my name is Apollo and he is Ares." "Hmmmn! Greek names. Sun god and war god indeed," replied Channing in a cold way.

Arianna saw the arrival of the new man who looked like a mix of Chinese and Spanish descents. She walked towards their tables but someone grabbed her wrist. "Come with me. Let us talk." Kevin dragged her away to the exit and at the corridor nearby. "OK, talk! Arianna his hand from her wrist. "I'm sorry for what I've done in the past. That wedding... that incident made me hate you. You manipulated it!!" Kevin shouted. "I never treated you wrong until that night you saw me with Rosie." Arianna just gruntled. "Are the kids mine?" "No way!!! You really didn't know what happened that night. We never had sex. Someone made us look like we had sex so you'll hate me. Look at my kids, do they resemble anything about you? Do they look like you? No. I met a man in Columbia during my stay there. I was drunk so did he and we did it. I don't even remember anything of that night with him because when I woke up, he's gone." Kevin just muttered, "Oh!"

A few minutes passed by, "But I won't forget the humiliation you gave me. You hated me for that wedding that you feel you were caged but I already signed the divorce papers and we are both free now." "I didn't sign it," he said.

"Whaaaat!!! I gave you your freedom. You know that I have been in love with you for the longest time but you shattered my heart by betraying me. And I hated you for the fact that if you didn't betray me, I won't be in another place doing that thing with a man I don't even know. And you'll pay for it. Both of you."

As she left Kevin in the corridor, she didn't notice the shadow of a man in the corner who listened to their conversation awhile ago. She returned to her family and told them that she's gonna be bringing back the kids to the grand villa (the mansion or the ancestral house), suddenly a voice was heard, "I will bring you home." In a flash, she looked up to her right side and found a gorgeous man standing beside her with an ice-cold aura. The one she noticed was his eyes as if she had seen it before.
