Ms. Croft pulled up just outside of the building with the van. After putting it in gear, Lorraine, Eric and Ms. Croft stepped out of the van and headed inside through the large double doors.

"Wow, he really made a mess of this place," observed Eric as he saw the wreckage left behind by Ren.

All three continued until they stood in the middle of the very large room.

"So where to, Ms. Carter." asked Ms. Croft.

"Take the opening to a hallway that is on your left." directed Ms. Carter. "Take that all the way down, turn right, and then the second door to your left is the first surveillance room."

"Roger that."

The three obeyed and followed the directions.

"Here's the door, but is it open?" wondered Lorraine.

"It is now." Ms. Carter stated. A little light above the door handle lit up green and Ms. Croft put her hand on the handle and formed a fireball in her hand, ready to attack as soon as she opened the door.

She pushed the handle down and opened the door, but the room that was revealed was empty.

"Huh?" wondered Ms. Croft. "Where are they?"

"Hold on, I'm switching to the video feed," Ms. Carter informed them. "Oh, wow they are literally sending everyone Ren's way."

"That's not good."

"Do you think he will be ok?" asked Lorraine.

"No, it's not so much that. I'm worried he'll end up killing everyone here like he did at Burtgundy. We need to find a higher up or a doctor soon. We need to try to find out who they brainwashed and who is still being held here against their will," worried Ms. Croft.

"That doesn't sound like Ren," surmised Lorraine. Lorraine thought that Ren was overall a gentle person. He would make jokes, even in sticky situations.

"Well, when he is pushed to the limit, he ends up thinking that killing is the only way."

Lorraine looked down with a sad expression.

"OK, guys. It looks like the only surveillance room being occupied is the main one in sector one." reported Ms. Carter.

"And where's that?" asked Ms. Croft.

"I'll guide you."

Ren's side was really limiting his movement. He decided to take a quick break after dealing with a couple more soldiers appeared. He took in deep breaths which seemed to help some. He got back up and decided to continue looking for a larger room.

"Look for double doors. Those usually mean a big room." Ren reasoned with himself.

He turned down a hallway that lead to double doors.

"Ok, let's see if my theory is correct."

Ren dashed down the hallway and opened the double doors forcefully.

The doors opened up into a very large room, with large bright white walls that held up a white ceiling. The ceiling had to be at least thirty feet tall. The room was large enough to hold an Olympic sized pool.

"Oh wow! This is perfect!"

Ren walked to the middle of the room. As he did, he heard a low rumble of footsteps all around him.

"Looks like they found me."

"Sir, we have all forces, except for in this room of course, surrounding the room he is currently in," an officer reported.

"Good, tell Zane to take command over all the forces there," the commander ordered.

"Yes sir."

BIZZT!

An electrical shock went throughout the entire room, sending up sparks, and short circuiting all of the computers and other electronics within the room.

"What the..." the commander looked around, confused, until his eyes locked on to three intruders.

The commander went to turn towards them, but the room had already filled up with ice, locking them to the floor. It continued to grow, swallowing up their knees and making it's way to their waists.

"What the hell?" roared the Commander. "Who are you?"

"We are the intruder's friends," announced Lorraine as she continued to lay out more and more ice.

"What do you guys want?"

"What we want is information." replied Ms. Croft. "You're going to tell us about all the other facilities that you know of, or I'll burn your face off."

"So what... that won't do anything." the commander sneered.

"I know you have a core. You will heal, but then I'll burn it off again and again until you spill." grinned Ms. Croft.

The Commander's confident expression changed into a blank one in response to that remark.

"Should I start?" Ms. Croft held out her hand and a small, but very hot flame appeared. "Maybe I'll start with your subordinates here."

Hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers began to line up just outside of the double doors.

"Get ready to attack the intruder men!" ordered a corporal.

"No wait!" replied a distant voice.

The soldiers began to whisper among themselves.

"That's the strongest man here."

"He's basically second in command."

"Yeah, you're right!"

"This is my first time seeing him in person."

Zane Winthrop walked to the front, by the double doors.

"Have everyone hold back and watch. I want to take this dunce on myself." ordered Zane.

"Sir, what if he wins?"

"Do you doubt me?" glared Zane.

"No... never mind sir."

Zane turned back around and walked through the double doors while two soldiers propped them open. Zane walked towards the man in the mask, who was currently facing the other direction.

"So you're the intruder. Turn around," demanded Zane. Ren turned and glared back at Zane. "The name's Zane. Yours?"

"Ren stared at him quietly at first. Then answered, "Core Soldier."

"Core Soldier? Oh, I see. You're the one that destroyed Burtgundy. What's with the mask?"

"Precaution. Some people think I'm dead. I want to keep it that way."

"You know, I had some friends in Burtgundy, you bastard."

"I am truly sorry, but... you took many people's lives away from them. I simply took them back."

"I'm going to rip that mask off and shove it up your ass!" scowled Zane.

"Go ahead and try, although, you might lose an arm if you do."

"
