Chapter 28: Birth Ceremony IV

Today I could say that it was a very productive day, I finally managed to understand the basics of language. Even without understanding the use of complex elements and I have no idea how to write it. But I know enough to understand a simple conversation. This has led me to understand much better how the tribe works and the events that happen daily in it.

However, I am a little concerned that I don't know how far I can move forward in this way since I still can't communicate with them and I still don't want to be a pet forever. But I suppose that will be a problem for another day, it is already night and although I do not know the exact time, I know that it is time for me to go to bed. Tomorrow I will continue my research on the cave and the mysteries it hides.

As I was getting ready to sleep, I felt someone was moving my body as if trying to wake me up. Because this had never happened, the first thing I thought was that the tribe was being attacked and that we must flee. My concern did not diminish when I opened my eyes since I found the man who cares for me and his children looking at me seriously.

-You'll be fine. - said the man.

And then he left the hut with his children.

I thought about following them, but when they left a woman entered. I have seen her a lot in the tribe, it seems that she has a high position. Since, whenever she passes around the other members, they give her a little greeting and she is also always surrounded by other women who seem to be her assistants. Also, she wears a much more elaborate robe than the other members with feather necklaces and small stones.

Behind the woman were, as always, her companions, two women in white fur, with their hair tied up, a small necklace decorated with feathers and stones. Although their clothes were not as elaborate as the first woman's, they showed that they also had superiority over others. Still, why are they entering my hut at this hour?
