In Love with a Shapeshifter (part 6)

Important announcement. The part before this one says "Wake up!" In the beginning, so that's part 5. This is part 6. Im soo sorry for the other part if you were confused, I forgot to add part 5 on the other one. Anyway to this part. :D

After I left, I went inside and found my dad and my new mom inside cooking dinner together. He would never do that with my mother. He would just sit on the couch and watch TV.

"Oh, there you are." Said Diana. She looked behind her and look at me.

"Yeah, here I am." I walk over to them and look at the food they were making. It looked like they were making Mexican food.

"So where were you, hon?" asked Diana pulling me into the living room.

"Um... I was... in the shed." I answer.

"Doing what?"

"Um... just,cleaning up in there." I say nervously. Hopes she buys it.

"Oh good, I have been telling your dad," she looks over at him," to clean up in there for a while."

"Oh, well thats done then." I did a nervous laugh.

"Thank you." She gave me a hug. I stood there letting her hug me. It was weird letting someone hug me that I don't know very well.

But at least she brought my lie. It would be terrible if they found out he was in there. I would be dead.

"So is Blyth gone." She asked letting me go.

"Oh, she's at the Dentist or the doctors. I can't remember which one she said. Did she not tell you?" I asked.

"Yeah, she never did. Shes has been very made at me."

"Oh." Was all I said.

My dad turned around and told us," Oh ya, she told me to tell you," he was talking to Diana," that she was going to the doctors or dentist. I forgot to tell you darling. You were asleep when she told me. I'm so sorry."

"Its okay." She went over to him and helped with dinner.

"I'll be up stairs." I run up stairs to my room and close the door. I looked around and found a bird in on my window seal.

I walk over to the window and opened it.

"Hi Evan." I let him. He fly's into my dads room. Probably to get some clothes on.

When he came out he was wearing gray sweat pants and a T-shirt that said "Cargo Farms." It must be were my dad works.

"Hey,you knew it was me." He said coming into the room.

"Yeah, you did that twice to me, so yeah I know it was you." I smiled.

"Its pretty cold in that old shed of yours."

"Oh,sorry. Need more blankets?" I started to go out of the room to find some more blankets, but he stopped me by grabbing my arm gently. I turn around and look him in his eyes with his hand still wrapped around arm.

"Um,please let go." I ask. He looked at his hand wrapped around my arm and let go.

"Sorry." He said.

"Its okay," I say,"So what brought you up here?" I ask going to my bed to sit down.

"To see you." Said coming over and sitting next to me.

I blushed. That was the first time I ever heard that.

"Thanks, but what's the real reason?" I can feel my face getting all hot.

"That is the reason. And also to talk to you more. Get to know more about you." He looked at me.

"Oh well, dinner going to be done soon, so maybe we can talk later tonight, OK."

"OK, see you soon." He got up and walked over to the window and jumped out. I ran over to the window and saw that he turned into a bird.

"See you later." I waved. He flew away back to the shed.

"Hon! Dinners done!" Yelled Daina.

"Coming!" I yell. I walk to the door and go down stairs.

I find them setting the food on the table. The food looks delicious.
