I woke up multiple times last night, shivering, and aching. My head kept me up for hours, so did my stomach. My alarm went off at 6:30, and I had just fallen back to sleep when it started blaring. I got up, and fell back on my bed, my legs were shaking like crazy. I moved the hair from my clammy forehead, and stumbled to the mirror. My skin was pale, with a greenish hinge. My eyes had these humongous bags under them, and I looked unhealthy. What was wrong with me? I had been fine yesterday until the afternoon. I groaned, and swayed, my feet were very unsteady. I caught myself on my desk. I went to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and went back to my room. What were my parents going to think when they saw me? I looked horrifying, and felt even worse. I had to go to school, though, we had a big upcoming test, and why worry my parents? I went in the kitchen, cringing slightly when my mom gasped as she looked at me.
"Kira, are you ok?" Her brows creased in worry.
I hesitated before lying. "Yeah, I didn't get the best sleep last night." I sat down. I had to eat, or my mom would know for sure I wasn't feeling good. I forced down my eggs and went up to my room to change. I felt a pang of nausea, and ran, to the bathroom. Hopefully this bug would be gone by tomorrow. I needed it to. I was exhausted from the effort of walking, and it had only been 30 minutes. I brushed my teeth for the 2nd time today, and got dressed.

My fever escalated, and I was practically shivering in math. I wrapped my arms around my legs and tried my hardest to not look as miserable as I felt. My whole body ached, like when I have the flu, but 10 times worse. I felt lightheaded too, and my breaths were oddly shallow. I tried my hardest to listen to my teacher, but my head was pounding too hard to interpret what she was saying. I saw Zach looking at me concerned, but I didn't have enough energy to worry.

I was stumbling to the gym, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. The feeling of contact on my skin hurt. I turned around to see Zach.
"Are you ok? You look terrible"
I nodded. "I'm... fine." I wonder how bad I looked.
"Are you sure? You're burning up!"
"Oh" Was all I said. "I'm sorry, but class is about to start and I have to go."
"I don't know if you should go to your next class. You look like you're gonna pass out."
"Thanks, but I have to go."
I started my way back to the lockers. As soon as Bree saw me, her face creased with worry.
"Oh my gosh, girl you look terrible!"
"Yeah" I croaked
"Your sick." She said.
"It's probably just a bug. It'll be gone by tomorrow."
She nodded, not convinced.

I tried my hardest to run, but it's so hard, and my legs are shaking uncontrollably. I fell a couple of times, and Bree helped me get up and shot me worried looks. We were going really slow, and I felt bad that I was holding Bree back, but I needed her help. I was freezing. Every time I stepped, my headache got the slightest bit bigger, until I could barely think with all the pounding. My legs weren't really working. Only one more mile left, then it would be over. All of a sudden, the weirdest feeling came over me. My body went weak, and I got so lightheaded. I was going to fall, and I couldn't stop myself. My conscience was slowly slipping away, and I managed to call out a weak "Bree!" Before my body swayed and darkness came over me.
