As Eli remains asleep and just continues to breathe away, completely unaware of how she keeps gathering her companions' horror-stricken reactions, Leah and the others take quite some time to let the entire sight sink in.
"I-I'm so sorry..." the brunette suddenly blurted out in the midst of the sprawling heavy silence, catching everyone's attention.
"I-It's my fault... Eli was trying to protect me that time. I got taken outside and something strange kinda locked the doors... She wasn't able to escape with me... A-and I just left her behind there... It's all my fault," she muttured begrudgingly, guilt and frustrations splattered on her remorseful frame.
"No, it's not your fault," Hal voiced out equanimously all of the sudden, stretching a reassuring smile all the while, much to her surprise.
