Leah left Eli behind while the ash-haired only remained lying on the ground, surrounded by an entire army of ravening beasts.

"Venus..." she weakly called out, looking up to find the magic mirror hovering right above her.

"Take over me, Venus."

"No," the former Empress firmly muttered, staring down at her austerely.

"I'm gonna get gobbled up, you know," her vessel deadpanned.

"Even if I want to, I can't. I'll end up kicking off your remaining balance, and I can't even go back to begin with. This is what you get for doing that stunt earlier. Magic is dangerous for-"

"Those who weren't born with it... I know."

Taken aback by how she just cut her off, Venus only archs her brows in surprise. She doesn't know what has gotten into Eli this time, but for some reason, she suddenly starts sensing something different about her at this very second.
