Beloved treasure

"They could have said that they are busy. But no, they have to share a picture. Huh. This guy, Elijah is flying high after getting married. Let me give him some advice."

Aaric dialled his number and waited till the end. But Elijah did not pick up his call. He frowned as he watched the screen getting darkened. He dialled that number again and fortunately this time the other person answered his call. But before Aaric could speak even a word, Elijah from the side spoke up.

"I am sorry sir, the number you are trying so hard to call is busy with his wife right now. So please call tomorrow, no wait day after tomorrow. I am busy these two days. Thank you."

'Beep. Beep'

Aaric's eyes widened as he could not believe that Elijah just hung up on him. He tried to call him again but it was of no use. The other person had muted all the notifications from him for forty-eight hours.

He became so furious that he angrily flipped the cap of the bottle and directly drank a mouthful of wine. Nobody had time for him. Of Course he will be doing these same tactics with them too. They needed to be punished for doing this.

While Aaric was drinking nonstop in disappointment, he did not notice that Sasha was looking at him from afar. She walked towards the cellar with one step at a time. She stood near the door frame and was a bit hesitant whether she should go inside.

After pondering roughly for ten minutes, she knocked on the door. As soon as Aaric heard it, he lifted his eyes up and met hers. He smiled slightly and spoke in his drunken state.

"Wifey… I missed you… so much."

Sasha remained stunned and rooted on her spot. She knew he was drunk at that time but when she heard him calling her so intimately, she suddenly felt blissful and her cheeks flushed in red color.

Aaric kept staring at her and smiling like a mad person. He behaved as if he had found his beloved treasure. All of a sudden, when he could not control his emotions he burst into a pool of tears. He tried to wipe his face with the back of his hand, but no matter how much he tried, tears did not stop coming out from the corner of his eyes. Never for even once he averted his eyes from her, he kept on looking at her while crying. Maybe in these past months he had bottled up all his emotions.

The only person with whom he used to share his inner feelings was Sasha, and at that time he could not even share anything with her. How much pain he must have endured in that time being? Nobody knew that, not even his three buddies.

Sasha could not react to his sudden outburst. She wanted to talk to him but looking at his current state, she felt that her heart was being shredded into pieces. She walked towards the couch and stood beside him. She frowned when she looked at the empty bottle. 'Did he just drink the whole bottle? He is crazy!'

She raised her eyebrows and looked at him, ready to scold him. But when she saw his face, she could not help but melt from inside. She felt that her heart was clenched in pain. She shook her head helplessly and thought of a way to take him upstairs. Obviously she could not do all this alone, so she called out for Aunt Bell.

"Madam I will ask the bodyguards to help master. They will take him to your bedroom."

"Okay! Inform them quickly."

In less than five minutes, Aunt Bell came inside with two bodyguards. Sasha asked both of them to take Aaric upstairs in the bedroom. Though he was drunk and half sleepy, still he continued to mumble her name throughout the way to the bedroom. Sasha felt like a headache when she recalled the way he was crying and smiling. Somehow in between, she could feel a bit of guiltiness inside her. While she was lost in her thoughts, Aunt Bell came near her and asked her.

"Madam, should I prepare a hangover soup for Master?"

"Yeah make something from him. He has drank a lot."

"What about you madam?"

"No, thank you. I don't feel like eating anything."

"Then I will get you a glass of milk and medicines."

Sasha could not help but just nodded her head in agreement. She could not just decline all the good intentions she had for her. She looked upstairs and walked towards the staircase. A maid quickly came near to her and helped her to reach the bedroom.

The bodyguards had already left and only Aaric was lying on the bed in the room alone.
