Emptiness (1)

Surprisingly Alleyn remained silent when he heard Aaric, he did not utter a single word. Aaric as well noticed his friends expressions and was unable to guess what he was thinking and what was going on in his mind. This was the first time that he could not see through Alleyn's emotions. It seemed his whole body had turned stiff and there was an inexpressible expression on his face.

Aaric pressed his lips together and placed his hand on Alleyn's shoulder while the latter's eyes flickered and his gazed shifted on the hand that was on his shoulder. Nodding his head mildly, he stood up from the seat and stuffed his hands inside his trouser's pocket while looking at the man on the floor with a mix of emotions inside his eyes.

Walking at Colin with steady steps he peered at the man's face who was staring back at his but his pupils were constantly moving from their position as if he could not maintain the proper eye-contact probably because he didn't had his specs.
