Detective Adam Knight.

She carefully examines how big is the bruising on his left forehead. She then asked him, " Do you feel lightheaded?."

He questioningly looks at her and thinks, and then shakes his head from left to right.

"How about, headache? Any ringing in both your ears or just your left side? Nauseous?." She is concerned about the urgency of his injury.

Adam felt a little nauseous, so he nodded and said, "Just nauseous."

She quickly called the personal number of the Neurology Department Head.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Hello, Doc Peters!" She quickly asked the man on the other line.

"Doc detective Adam Knight has all his minor injuries treated, but he has a cut and bruising in his left forehead. His head injuries most commonly originate from the South Bay vehicle accidents.

Right now, he must be suffering from a concussion as he said he felt nauseous."

Doctor Peters, in the other line, instructs her, and immediately he told her, "You need to bring him for some test urgently."

She went and grabs a wheelchair and asked him to sit in the wheelchair so she can take him for a CT scan and MRI scan examination room.

"These vehicle incidents can cause a cut in your skin, impact your skull, and even shake you enough to cause a concussion or other traumatic brain injury (TBI)." She explained to him.

"For now, we need to get you examined, and let's hope it's a mild case." She added.

Pushing a tall man in a wheelchair is no easy job for the beautiful female doctor in a patient gown, and with a handsome man sitting in front of her, they are very eye-catching.

He felt her concern and saw her very hardworking personality as a doctor. Though he feels amused and his feet cramping from fitted to the height of the wheelchair, he has an unexplainable feeling inside his heart.

Detective Adam gives glances at her and said, "Am I heavy? I can walk just fine into the examination room." He exclaimed.

"A good patient's listen and follow his doctor's advice." She gently smiles at him.

"I'm strong! I'll get you there, so sit there and relax." She added while flexing her tiny arm muscles.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

He clutches the handle of the wheelchair as he felt his heart filled with warmth and excitement.

Her long strides reach the door of the CT scan room, and Doc Peters is at the information desk instructing the radiology technologist, he was already waiting for them.

At the CT scan room...

Entering the examination room, Doctor Peters hand a paper to the female nurse at the information desk, and she guided him in the dressing area, and hands him a hospital gown. She instructs him to take off all metal objects or items he has any jewelry, watch, belt, and change in area for male patients and asks him to press the bell inside when he finishes changing his clothes.

"Adam, we will be doing a thorough test, and it will last for 10 minutes in your case TBIs can range from mild to severe, and we should address this immediately." Doc taps his uninjured shoulder to assure his friend.

"Every minute counts, but what matters the most is see if the brain has some trauma, and after we've checked everything, you'll be going into the MRI scan room." Doctor Peters explained to him.

Adam finishes changing into the hospital gown and presses the red bell button inside the dresser to inform the radiologist that he is entering the examination room.

"Do you have any fear of small spaces?" A male radiologist approaches him.

"CT scans are quick, painless, and noninvasive. It will take us at least 10 minutes to do all the necessary tests." He continues.

"No, I don't! Okay!" Adam replied.

"Great! Then you need to lie down in here." He points the treatment couch.

The detective takes off his shoes and lies down on the patient table.

The medical personnel starts to position the patient to ensure that his skull has to be symmetrical in place. The ear canal opening must be the same distance apart, and from the skull support and the interorbital (interpupillary) line is parallel to the scan plane.

He positioned the officer and secured the patient's head with the aid of Velcro straps.
