I Didn't Do Anything Wrong

Eventually Mark grew visibly tired so Alex mercifully pinned him to the ground for a few seconds to end the match. That had been more satisfying a fight than he thought it would be. He hadn't thought there was anyone on the outside who wouldn't be an instant KO.

Mark eyed him critically as he helped him up. "You were going easy on me, weren't you?"

"Yes," Alex said in surprise. "How did you know?"

"When you fight professionally as long as I did you learn how to tell these things. If you were using your full strength, you would have taken me down much faster. Tell me something. When was the last time you lost?"

"In a one-on-one fight or in general?"

Mark raised an eyebrow at the distinction. "Why don't you tell me both?"
