After being gauged in terms of magical power, they were sent to an outside field where lies multiple wooden dolls with a targets on its center and head. The instructor for this is a tall slim man with glasses. He wears a leather vest, green pants, and a green beret on his head.
"Welcome to the outside, children. I am Ivan Douglas and I'm here to instruct you on how to hit your target." Ivan said. "Having strong magic is good, but it means nothing if it can't hit its target. So, I will teach you how to hit your target."
Ivan turns to the wooden dolls that are 10 feet away from them and places his hands in front of him, a gray magic circle appeared and launched a gust of wind at the doll.
*Hwoooo!*
*Bwoosh!*
Ivan hit the doll and knocked it over. The students were in awe and clapped for Ivan's simple performance.
"Now, who wants to try?" Ivan said. Many hands were raised to want try hitting it, jumping up and down. Ivan looks around to see Daegus waving and jumping.
"How about you, Daegus? " Ivan said.
"Okay!" Daegus replied. Daegus walked to Ivan to see the target doll.
"Now look at the target and put your hands forth." Ivan instructed. Daegus puts his hands forward and a bright orange magic circle appeared.
*Fwoom!*
A ball of flame came forth at the size of a hand and fired it at the target.
*BOOM!*
The fireball hits the target dead center, exploding. The doll was caught on fire since it is out of wood and the paper target turned to ash.
"Excellent shot, Daegus." Ivan said, clapping. "Who is next? Ah, Olivia, I see your hand up." Olivia walked forward timidly and put her hands forward. She now emits a bright yellow light and fires it, but it hit the ground instead.
"Hmm...you've aimed a little too low." Ivan said as he raised her arms slightly higher than before. "Now try again." Olivia fired a bolt of light again and it hits the doll on the head.
"I did it!" Olivia exclaimed.
"That you did! Everyone, remember this. If you want to be capable, you must know how to hit your target. Now I want you all to try it." Ivan said. The students cheered and found each doll and fired it. Elements varying from Fire to Light while some were duplicates. Clyde placed one hand and a deep blue magic circle appeared, bigger than any student in this room.
"Woah, look at Clyde." said one student. A large ball of water that is half of the height of Clyde and fired it. The ball of water traveled in the air, leaving puddles of water behind and made a big splash.
*SPLASH!!*
The wooden doll doll head was detached and the paper on it was torn off and soggy. Clyde smirked and looked at Indux with confidence. Indux was also impressed by the display and put one hand up and a black magic circle appeared and a giant black ball appeared. Bigger than what Clyde has created. Clyde's jaw dropped from the sight of Indux's size from the ball of darkness that is almost the same size Ivan.
"Whoa, it's huge!" one student said. Indux then fired the massive ball and engulfed the entire doll. Shortly after, the ball exploded, scattering the limbs of the wooden doll. Ivan was shocked that no student could completely remove all of the doll's limbs or have a projectile this large.
"Did I do good?" Indux said, but then his vision grew blurry and his surroundings warp around him, he then stumble, but Ivan caught him before he falls.
"Yeah, you did great. However, you released too much of your magic, that's why you're feeling dizzy. Can you stand?" Ivan said, propping Indux up.
"Yeah..." Indux replied standing up clumsily, but soon came to his senses.
"Okay, we're going to keep firing for a few more minutes! And be sure to fire your magic carefully!"
"Okay!" the students replied. The students kept firing their magic until the clock turns its long hand and Ivan stops the lesson for the day.
"All of you have done great. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye!" the students said as they wave.
"You're really good, Indux, but I won't let that stop me. Just wait till lunch." Clyde thought to himself, thinking of a plan to show who's superior.
