First Visitor Part 2

The sun rises in Teraxa, the roosters beckons in the distance, waking up the populace from their slumber. Daegus also wakes up from his slumber and removes the covers over him. He steps down from his bed and puts on his socks. As he opens the door, a pleasant smell enters his nose along with sizzling sounds. His mother, Fynia is making breakfast. Daegus walks down the wooden stairs and with each step, it creaks until he reached the bottom.

"Morning Daegus, did you sleep good?" Fynia said as she continues to cook.

"Morning mama, what are you making?" Daegus replied.

"Pancakes and eggs. Just wait a little longer, okay?" Fynia said. Daegus turned around to find a wooden chair on the table until someone bumped into him. His little sister Lana bumped into him and she looked up at him with drowsiness.

"Morning Lana." Daegus said, patting her head.

"Morning..." Lana said groggily. Lana clumsily waddled towards the wooden chair and sat on it to sit there in a daze.

"Hmm...I smell something good in the morning." the father said.

"Morning dad." Daegus said.

"Morning papa..." Lana said. The father noticed something in front of the front door that seems to be an envelope. He walks over there to pick it up to see it has a red wax seal upon it. With it was written.

"Hot dog, Daegus. It hasn't been a week and you're already got a secret admirer? I'm starting to get a little jealous." the father said jokingly, nudging Daegus. "Go ahead and read it."

Daegus takes the envelope and opens it by pulling the wax seal which in turn ripped the envelope. He sees a folded paper and unfolded it to read the words neatly written in black ink which is comparable to art.

"Daegus...are you sure your friend is the same age, not an adult? Because that handwriting is too neat for a five year old." the father said.

"Indux is the same age as me." Daegus said.

"Well, we're obviously going to check out that house on the hill." Fynia said since no parent would just go to a stranger's house, even if it's next door. "Go eat up and go to school." she said as she serves Daegus and the rest pancakes stacked together and an egg cooked and lightly sprinkled with pepper.

Daegus began eating the pancakes and eggs along with his family. Delight comes from their faces as they bite into the sweet fluffy pancakes. However, Daegus can't stay and savor his mother's delicious breakfast for long.

Daegus quickly ate the pancakes and egg, put on his brown shirt and blue jeans. He then began walking the to the front door.

"Bye, Day-Day!" Lana said, waving both of her hands.

"Be sure to come back home after school, okay?" Fynia said.

"I will. Bye!" Daegus replied. He then opened the door, closed it behind him, and began running. Daegus ran across the dusty brick road, kicking the dust with each step to meet the other children. He then kept running, they were mere stationary objects as he weaves around them to avoid bumping into them. Daegus then see Indux exiting the horse carriage and is looking for Daegus.

"Indux!" Daegus called out to him. Daegus finally meets his first friend and skids to a halt.

"Daegus! Did you read the letter I sent?" Indux said.

"Yeah, and my parents said yes!" Daegus happily replied.

"Great! I can't wait!" Indux said, smiling. The boys walked to school together and went on to the main entrance.

[Hours later...]

Their day in school in the span of few hours was peaceful and uneventful. The bell has rung and the children began exiting the school. Indux and Daegus exited the school along with the crowd and reached the sidewalk.

"I better head back home, Indux. They're waiting for me." Daegus said.

"I can bring your family to my house so they don't have to walk." Indux suggested. Daegus thought about it and found it good. The carriage that Indux is riding arrived.

"Sounds good."

"Hop in."

The two boys entered the carriage and the horse rider looked back.

"Oh, your new friend?" he said.

"Yes, take us to the Knox family house." Indux said. The horse rider nodded, cracked the reins, and the two horses began walking. Daegus can't help but be astonished by the design of the carriage. The slick wooden interior, the plush cushions and the way it handles bumps on the road makes it nearly unnoticeable. Daegus notices the house in the distance he lived in and informed Indux.

"This is the one." Daegus said. Indux knocked the carriage behind him and the horse rider pulled to the left and stopped in front of the house of Knox. They both exited the carriage and Daegus knocked the door. It opens up to see the father and sees both children.

"Hey buddy!" the father said.

"Hi dad, this my friend Indux!" Daegus said.

"Hello, Mr. Knox." Indux said, greeting the father. Then what Indux sees is Lana hiding behind the father's leg and peeking over. Lana is a little shy when it comes to meeting new people.

"Lana, say hi to Indux." the father said. Indux take his hand forward to Lana.

"I am Indux. Nice to meet you." Indux said and smiled with his hand out. Lana slowly grabbed Indux's hand and she smiled lightly.

"Oh my, is he your friend?" Fynia said.

"Hello Mrs. Knox. I am Indux. Let's be quick, I don't want to keep father waiting." Indux said, displaying the carriage.

"Wow...this is very different than the ordinary carriages." the father said. Indux and the Knox family climbed inside the carriage. They all managed to fit without being cramped.

"Take us home." Indux said. The horse rider cracked the reins and turned the horses around to take them to the hill.

"So, what's your element?" Fynia said.

"Darkness." Indux said. Lana became more cautious as when she was scared of the dark when she was even younger. Indux wanted to calm her to ensure the element itself isn't frightening.

"It's not scary, I promise. There is someone who can make it pretty." Indux said.

"Really?" Lana said.

"I promise." Indux said, putting out his pinkie finger. Lana reached over and linked her pinkie finger with his. Indux smiled, showing that he's not a bad person despite wielding the Darkness element. They reached the golden gates that is in front of the mansion. The gates open up, letting the horse rider through until they reached the front yard.

"We have arrived, young sir." the horse rider said. The passengers exited the carriage to see a large white and black building with small golden accents as a sign of wealth and nobility. The Knox family were astonished, flabbergasted, awestruck from the elegant display of the house of Onyxthorn.

"Woah...I remember mansions are for the nobles, but this makes them look like bums." the father said.

"Wow...this is where you live?" Daegus said.

"Yeah, wanna go inside?" Indux said.

"Sure! Come on Lana!" Daegus said, grabbing Lana's hand. The three went to the front door and knocked the lever against it, making a loud knocking sound. It was silent for a few moments then the doors open inward to the house. Algra opened the door where Zenna is here also.

"Indux. I see you brought your friends too, I see." Algra said as he looked at the kids and Daegus' parents.
