The First "Raid" Part 4 (18+)

"You're not going to fight him, are you?" Virin said.

"Not directly." Algra said. "I'm just going to tear his scars fresh. Your job is done, escort Xavier ."

"Alright, best of luck to you, mate." Virin said. Virin slid down the tree to land on the ground, he then jumped through the broken window to the kitchen, opened the the door leading the basement, and closed it behind him. He hears voices down there, meaning they haven't gone to the tunnel yet.

"Oi, is anyone down there?" Virin called out.

"Virin? I thought you're staying behind." Xavier said. Virin quickly came downstairs to meet Xavier, Vega, Terzo, and Danielle.

"Algra needed me for a minute." Virin replied. Virin noticed that in the basement has a wine cellar behind him assorted with exotic flavors and a bookshelf behind Xavier. "So, where's the tunnel?"

"Ah, let me." Xavier said as he reached his arm to grab a brown book and pulled it, but it was merely tilted towards him and a audible click was heard. The book slowly shifted to the right side of the basement, revealing a dark tunnel with a lever inside.

"Well I'll be." Virin said, impressed.

"This is where you need a lantern so that you can watch your step. Hurry inside." Xavier implored. They went inside the tunnel and Danielle pulled the lever which made the shelf shift back into its rightful position.

Meanwhile above the wilderness, Palax Steinford is flying above the forest, heading towards Lyse to assist Geon.

"I heard that an influx Black Fang members are located in Lyse to attack Iveria. Since Geon is in Lyse, this could complicate things. However, with my presence, those lowly members wouldn't dare attack." Palax thought to himself. He then sensed a source of power.

"Hmm...Dragon class. It still could be anyone." He said to himself, as soon he advances further, a tiny ball of darkness came forth at him from below. Palax put his hand out and created a barrier of light to completely shield himself.

As soon as the tiny dot of darkness made contact to the barrier, black sparks shot out, causing a high-pitched screeching sound.

*SKRREEEEEEE!!!*

*DOOOOOM!!!*

The tiny ball caused a massive explosion, shooting black and white lightning around it as the two polarizing elements clash. The force of the explosion shot a massive shockwave, causing many trees sway and some of the leaves were blown away. Palax's barrier instantly became shattered glass from the explosion, knocking him back. He then created a pulse of light to dissipate the residual dark clouds.

"Who dares attack the Grand Priest!?" Palax yelled. "To attack me is to attack the Luster Order itself!" He then hears a low, sinister chuckle.

"Hmhmhmhm...Oh Palax, you have gone far and become a priest of some church." a mysterious male voice said in a tone where he was familiar with Palax. His olden face paled at the voice.

"N-no...it can't b-be. Impossible!" Palax's voice shuddered along with his body. What he sees is a black cloaked figure floating in front of him emitting a malicious, murderous, malevolent black and red aura. The figure then removed the hood to reveal his long black jet black hair reaching beyond his shoulders, his dark deep crimson eyes, his villainous smile and his black and red robe. Palax became certain.

"The Brimstone Monarch, Igris Onyxthorn!" Palax said in horror.

"HAHAHAHAHA! That's right!" Igris said as he laughed hysterically.

"But...but how?! You were killed by Evirae Vitraz who wielded the Myriablaze magic!"

"Of course it killed me. But now I'm revived, much younger than before and ready to bring chaos to Iverian rule once again." Igris said, then he noticed that Palax is holding his chest. Igris knew why.

"The way you're holding your chest...it seems you still remember the scar. Ah, Scorch and Inferno magic." Igris said.

"Ever since your death, you still haunt me, the people with Darkness magic reminds me of you killing countless of White Swans and the Lusters. Every time I sleep, I can faintly hear people screaming from the burning of the cursed Inferno and Scorch magic...that same Scorch magic that gave me this scar!" Palax said, clutching his chest where he was wounded by Igris, panting. His face began to sweat profusely and his expression contorted from the trauma long ago.

{55 years ago...when Igris is alive.}

In the dead of night under a full moon, there lies a ruined stone structure lost in time, Igris used his Scorch magic, a red and black flame to turn his arm into a claw and slashed across the younger Palax Steinford's chest, igniting the very wound the moment it was torn.

"GYAAAGH!!!" Palax shrieked in agony of not only the slashing wound, it's the deep burning sensation is what comes after. Palax then tried to use Light magic to separate the Darkness magic from the Fire magic and stopped the flames from burning him, but the the pain from the Scorch magic still remains.

"Oh, you stopped the burning, eh?" Igris said as he looked down on Palax with a sinister sneer.

"You will not get away with this, Igris. To think you killed over 10000 priests and knights in a matter of hours alone." Palax said, holding his chest where he had been burned.

"And I'll kill another 10000 more..." Igris said then his smile became that of a demon "Including you." At that moment Igris' eye flashed, black and crimson flames exploded forth from the scar. Palax then howled in total agony from the malevolent flames that ravage his chest. The pain that Palax is feeling makes the burns from Scorch magic pale in comparison to Inferno magic.

"Hehehehahaha! Once I'm done with you, I'll destroy every Luster Church and then the White Swans! As long as I live, your kind will never be safe!" Igris said as he laughs, relishing the agonizing screams of his enemies. "Now...how will you react when my Inferno engulfs you whole. Which will kill you first? From shock or my Inferno?"

At that moment, dread washed over Palax. He began pleading to Igris to spare him, but it was futile. Igris' eyes emitted a deep red hue with his hands holding two balls of Inferno magic, walking towards him slowly, menacingly. Until he saw a light shining behind him, getting brighter as it gets closer was a arrow of light. Igris looked back and swatted the arrow of light, dissipating it.

"Who threw that!?" Igris said as he turned around, but then he looked at Palax who is no longer in front of him. He looked up to see that Palax is flying away injured. "Scurrying away, are you?" Before Igris chases him, a pillar of light exploded in front of him, briefly blinding him.

"Ah, it seems I am missing one." Igris said as he turns around to see an adult woman with long blonde hair wearing a blue and white priestess dress. She wields a large golden mace and a small ornate buckler. She floats in midair, looking down at Igris while she is emitting heavenly golden aura which faintly shows wings befitting of an angel.

"Igris Onyxthorn, your reign of terror ends here. I, Evirae Vitraz shall remove the evil that is you for the sake of the world!" Evirae declared so valiantly.

"So, you're the Luster's trump card? A Divine magic user? Heheheh."

"You find this situation humorous?"

"Oh don't mind me..." Igris began emitting Inferno magic from his hands. "So Evirae, once I kill you, none shall stand before me!"

{Present day...}

"I watched the battle as it lasted until dawn rises. Despite your death, you remained as an endless nightmare." Palax then clenched his fists. "Now that you are weakened, I'm ending this nightmare once and for all!" Igris smiled again.

"Oh, it will end...by death."

"What?"

As soon Palax said this, a claw of darkness pierces his chest behind him, spraying blood and causing it to rain red below him. Palax coughed blood violently, staining his regal priest robe further. He looked back on what pierced him. It was Algra who pierced him.

"Yes, by your death." Algra said.

"Al...gra." Palax said, struggling to speak his words as blood continues to pour from his mouth each time he speaks.

"You were a thorn on my side since my father became the head of the family. But to think that you, a Divine class, Light user no less be fooled by my illusion. You have gotten senile." Algra said.

"I-illusion?" Palax said. He then looked at the spot where Igris was floating became black mist and blown with the wind.

"With this, not only Iveria would be shaken, but the churches as well." Algra said.

"Once they find out of my death...they will know it's you and stop at nothing...to eliminate the Black Fangs!" Palax threatened, spitting more blood. Algra just smirked.

"If they can." Algra said. He then opened his shadowy claw where it lies a beating heart. Palax resigned himself that his 103 years of his life would come to an end.

"If only the Onyxthorns never existed...no...if Darkness never existed." Palax said.

"Ramble what you will. Now perish." Algra said and crushed Palax's heart, making Palax cough a great amount of blood as his last breath and slumped down. Algra then threw Palax's lifeless body into the wilderness. Algra then swung his shadowy arm to wipe the residual blood away and turned his hand to normal. He then descended to the ground to lightly land near the exit to Teraxa. He looked back at the carnage of the slain White Swan members and the Luster devotees lay lifelessly and bloodied.

"Well...I can't keep my family waiting now." Algra said and he turned into black mist to travel to Teraxa.
