Chapter 23 - Statue
Seeing that Rory has killed the giant bear, I walked towards it and used my Consume skill to get EXP. I looked at Rory with amazement and jealousy coming out from my eyes while I use my Consume skill towards the bear. It did not take long for the bear to be completely consumed.

"Congratulations for killing the bear Rory! Where do we go next Rory?"
"Thank you master Ave and our next target will be the orc's cave. The orcs are typically much more weaker than the bears but they have greater numbers and they also have a orc shaman making it difficult to attack."
Hmm, so they have a orc shaman. What does that do anyway?
"What makes this orc shaman dangerous?"
"This orc shaman can actually use magic to enchant his allies while debuffing his enemies. I heard from the rumors that he can also use wind magic and that he has two variant orcs protecting him. I don't have any information about the said two orcs. This is all the information I know master Ave."
Ughhh, three more caves and I'm done with this.
"Alright let's move out now, I want to see what does the orc looks like and plan our attack."
We then exited the cave and went towards the orc's cave. We go further south and I can see that the monsters here are different compared to before. I can see horses with horns, giant bees, spiders as huge as a human, and we even saw a giant snake that was about 10 meters. We avoided those monsters and just continued our journey towards the orc's cave.
Before we can see the orc's cave, we already encountered some orcs in the woods. There were 6 orcs patrolling the area. The orcs have green skin and a nose of a pig. They were as big as an adult human and they have two sharp teeth coming out from each cheek. They hold different weapons. Some of them holds a spear while others hold a sword. I tried appraising one of them and saw this:

It seems like the orcs are patrolling around the cave. This was unlike the other cave where they only guard the entrance. I then look at Rory and made hand gestures that signify that he needs to kill the orcs which he immediately executed. He dashed towards the orcs and beheaded them all one by one making them unable to react at his attacks.

I then immediately used consume at the orcs before some reinforcements make there way here.

After I was done consuming the orcs, I talked with Rory to make a good plan.
"Rory, I think it is best to first kill the patrolling orcs before going towards the cave."
Rory nodded while saying:
"I follow your commands master Ave."
We searched for any patrolling orcs around the cave and we saw 2 more groups of orcs which immediately killed and helped me level up to 65. The patrolling orc groups also has 6 orcs per group.
The level up also managed to upgrade my ring and sword of Rory. This made my Ice Magic and Ice Resistance to level up while Rory's Fire Skills and Basic Blade Arts leveled up as well.
When we were sure that there was no more patrolling orcs, we made our way towards the cave and saw that it has 2 orcs guarding the entrance. We hid for the time being and observed the two. The 2 orcs was a bit bigger than the others. It was 0.5 bigger and they both have a tattooed right arm. The tattoo was red and it looks like the color of blood. The tattoo has a skull face which looks like a skull of an orc. The skull gives me the creeps but I forced myself to not mind it. I tried to appraise them to see how strong they were.

It was called a marked orc which was weird but I did not mind it and I then whispered at Rory to let him know of my plan.
"I'll be taking one of them while you take the other."
"Yes master Ave."
Rory said while nodding. I then gestured at Rory to start the attack. We attacked at the same time. Rory used his sword which he slashed at the orcs head while I use my ice magic to trap the other and summoned ice spears to finish it off.

After that we entered the cave, once we were inside the cave we saw three different paths and the cave has torches inside. I was surprised with the cave having torches. With no clue which path to choose I randomly picked one. I went towards the left one and what I saw made me puke. It was disgusting.
"Urgg... blehh.."
I puked at the floor while looking at the horrible sight.
"Are you ok master Ave?"
Rory asked me with a worried tone. I can see that he was fine even when he saw it. I calmed down and replied to Rory that I'm fine.
The thing that I saw is a place with 3 women. It was female humans that was naked and has huge stomachs. I can see that they have lifeless eyes and they did not even react when I was already close to them. Seeing this scene makes me mad at the orcs. I closed my eyes and killed the three humans. I did not eat them but I let Rory burn them off. I don't know if I should be happy or sad that I already met humans for the first time.
After Rory was done burning them off, I can still hear the system awarding me with EXP.

I looked at the room again to examine it more clearly. I can see that nothing is valuable here so I go back and choose the middle path to go into.
I reached the end of the path and saw a room with three orcs inside. The three orcs has the same size as the others but they have red skin and black tattoos. There tattoos was the same with the marked orcs. I can see that one of them even has two horns at it's head. The one with the horns has a staff that has a skull on it and I can see that it has a praying pose. It was actually praying at a statue. The statue has the same face with it's tattoo. I feel ominous towards it as if my guts are telling me to run away immediately but I resisted that feeling.
I appraised them and saw this:

Such high levels but I feel that we can still manage.
"Rory we'll first focus with the two red orcs with no horns. My shadow clones will distract the horned one while we finish off the others."
"I follow your command master Ave."
With that I made my way towards one of the red orcs while Rory does the same. I then controlled my shadow clones to attack the shaman orc. The three orcs was startled at our appearance but reacted fast. The two red orcs then tried to cover the shaman orc but I quickly froze the feet of the two red orcs making them disabled. The shaman orc continued to chant something at the statue but this time much faster.
Rory then dashed towards one with his sword that was covered with fire ready to slash at the one of the red orcs. When the slash of Rory's sword connected with the red orc, it left a deep wound on it's chest but did not manage to kill it. This is the first time I saw someone else withstand Rory's slash except from me. I then immediately followed it with a ice spear to finish it off.

While we killed the red orc, the other one was already free from the ice and was defending the shaman orc from my shadows. Me and Rory helped my shadow clones to finish the last red orc. With our combined attacks, we managed to finish it off, leaving the shaman orc alone.

But then the shaman orc smiled at us. I then felt something bad will happen making me guard up for danger. Something then came out in front of the statue. It was a black portal which swallowed the shaman orc and the two red orc corpses. Then something came out from it.
It had a black skin with horns at it's head. It has red eyes and has the same size of the human but I can feel that it was much more powerful than the three orcs combined.
It then grinned at me.
"Oh my, I was summoned here from this world to destroy a certain village and to think that I will have my first snack on my first day of duty. I shall enjoy this blessing from God Orcus. Hehehehehehe!"
It can talk! Shit I feel bad about this!
