Chapter 40 - The Winter Catacombs
It was dark when I entered the gate. It felt like have I returned into the dungeon where I was born.
Before when I appraised the wall where I met Akira, it said it was a wall of a dungeon. Does that mean I come from a dungeon?
'Akira, did the place we first met was a dungeon?' I asked.
'Yes and no. It was a dungeon but more like a semi dungeon. I made that dungeon not the God of Dungeons. I created the monsters there but I did not remember creating you. I was actually shocked to see a cat monster in my dungeon.' Akira explained.
So does this mean I'm a dungeon monster?
While I was thinking about this I heard something, I looked at that direction and I can see a wolf shaped monster with the help of my Dark Vision skill.
Seeing that it did not attack me, I first summoned Rory and Rai. I did not summoned Nixie since I plan to sleep here first before attempting to finish the dungeon.
Light came out of my forehead, and soon Rory and Rai stood in front of me. The place was lit up by the flames of Rory. He was now our human torch for us to see. I looked at my surroundings and I can see that at my back was now a wall. The gate where I entered was gone now. This made me conclude that I won't be able to get out of here if I don't finish the dungeon. I then looked in front of me where the wolf is, there was an open path behind the wolf.
I can now see that the wolf has white fur and red eyes. The wolf was double the size of a normal wolf. It still did not attack me but only stared at me. I then looked at Rory and signaled him to kill the wolf.
Rory nodded at me, and dashed at the wolf. The wolf was startled but has dodge the attack of Rory. I was shocked to see that someone can actually dodge Rory's swords but then I remember that this dungeon is recommended for those who are Level 150.
I appraised the wolf to see it's the strength.

The wolf's stats are higher than anyone of us. This made me frown seeing Rory having a hard time killing it. I then ordered Rai to support Rory.
Rai run towards the wolf and then jumped. He then readied his hammer to smash the wolf. The wolf as if knowing Rai's attack moved back causing the ground to have cracks.
I then summoned my two shadow clones to help. I dashed with my shadow clones, and made ice gauntlets in my hands and then imbuing it with poison. I controlled my clones to do the same.
I jumped towards the wolf while Rai and Rory was distracting it making me and my clones undetected. I slashed at the wolf using my Power Slash skill making it howl in pain but it did not end there because my clones also attacked the same place making it howl more. After our attack, Rory followed it with two slashes from his blade and was then followed my Rai's hammer.
We continued our attack until the wolf lay motionless at the ground.
Ding!
You gain 1000 EXP.
I then used Consume on it.

You gain 1300 EXP.
I did not leveled up with those EXP. The EXP requirement for me now is higher than before making me sigh.
I'm so sleepy right now that I wanted to rest already. It was dark when I entered the dungeon but I can't rest in an inn since I don't have money. I have planned to rest here with the protection from my servants but seeing the monster's power, I summoned Nixie to add protection.
Soon Nixie was in front of me.
"Hello Ave, Rory, and Rai!" She greeted us with a smile. She seems comfortable and relaxed in this place. It must be the cold environment.
"Nixie, Rory, and Rai please protect me while I rest for a while. Wake me up when monsters attacks us." I said to them feeling sleepy already.
"Yes master Ave!" Rory said while bowing.
"Ok!" Nixie said while giving me a thumbs up.
Rai only nodded and then gave a bow.
I then made an ice bed for me to rest. I laid at the bed and soon darkness consumed me.
"Ave..."
"Wake...."
"UP!"
I jumped at my bed making me look around to see who disturbed my sleep. It was Nixie looking at me franticly.
"What?" I asked Nixie while yawning.
"Get up immediately! We are under attack by two wolves! Rory and Rai are having a hard time to kill them!" She shouted at me nervously.
It woke me up so I dashed outside with my clones and Nixie.
I can see that Rai was full of wounds while Rory also has a few wounds on his arms.
"Nixie, will first help Rai and then moved towards Rory." I ordered Nixie to which she nodded.
I can see that Rory can still last longer than Rai. Rai can heal his wounds but his HP Regeneration can't keep up with the damage inflicted by the wolf.
Nixie made ice at the wolf's feet trying to restrict it while I and my clones surrounded it. We then attacked at the same time by slashing the wolf. When we're done, we moved back to make space for Rai's attack. Rai attacked the wolf by smashing his hammer at the wolf. He then moved back while Nixie attacked it with 10 ice spears killing the wolf.
Ding!

I did not Consume it yet but dashed at Rory to help him.
We did the same technique and then killed the wolf.

I healed Rory and Rai first with the help of Nixie.
Afterwards, I made a big sigh. What kind of test is this!? Is that little girl trying to kill us!?
This test is actually harder than I expected!
I then made my way towards the two corpses and used Consume on it.

"How long did I sleep?" I asked them and Rory answered.
"About 5 hours master Ave." He said while I nodded.
I guess that is enough rest for now. I'll just rest fully when we got out of here but for now we need to finish this dungeon. I only have three days to finish this and as the system said, this dungeon has three floors so I need to finish one floor for one day.
"Let's move out guys." I said to them.
Rory then went on front of us with my clones at his side. I was at the middle with Nixie while Rai was at the back.
We went further and we encountered two wolves again which we killed immediately. I then consumed them and made me level up by 1.
We moved further with a slow pace. The place was not complex and only has a single path while we sometimes encounter 2 or 3 wolves. This made me level up by 4 levels.
After walking for a couple of times, we encountered a wide space. A single wolf stood there. It was different compared to the other wolves, it was standing on it's two legs and was two times bigger than the others. It was 8 meters high and has a mascular build.
I appraised it to see how strong it was.

The wolf was a Tier 4 monster making it stronger than the other wolves. It has the same tier as me making me worried. The only thing I was happy about is that it was alone.
It has the same skills as the other wolves except for the Frost Rage. I don't know what it is but I think it is a berserk skill that will make it stronger when it uses the skill.
Since his body is big, we can use it to our advantage if we surrounded it.
"Rai, position yourself at the front of the monster when the battle starts. Don't worry about attacking, you just need to distract it and make sure that it fully focuses on you." I said to Rai.
He nodded and I then continued explaining my plan.
"Next, Nixie I want you to be beside Rai and make sure that you can use Ice Heal on him when his health goes dangerously low. You can attack but make sure to focus on Rai's health." I said.
"Ok!" Nixie said while nodding.
"Rory will be at the back focusing solely on attack. I will assist him by using my shadow clones." I said to them.
"Yes master Ave!" Rory said seriously.
"My role will be focusing on disabling the werewolf to lessen the burden of the team and I will also occasionally attack when I have the opportunity." I said.
I then signaled them to get ready, and after a couple of seconds I whispered.
"Attack." I said and we all dashed to towards the werewolf.
