Jason looked at the empty vial in his hand and thought. "Nothing happened?" He looked at his body and thought. "I don't feel any different." He looked over at Thomas and Jack.
Thomas was laying down on the ground unconscious with an empty vial next to him. Jack was staring at the empty vial in his hand deep in thought. Neither Thomas nor Jack seemed any different than before.
Jason looked at the empty vial in his hand again. He thought as he stared at the vial. "It wasn't poisoned?"
Jack mumbled. "Maybe I was wrong. Maybe it wasn't poisoned after all." He looked at Jason and said. "Jason, how do you feel?"
Jason looked at Jack and said. "I don't feel any-" Jason stopped mid-sentence. Just as he was about to finish what he was saying he felt the insides of his chest explode. Jason spit up blood.
A smirk formed on Jack's lips. He stood and stared at Jason.
Jason's body became weak. His legs could no longer hold the weight of his body. He began to plummet toward the ground. As Jason was falling we stared at Jack and thought. "He tricked me?!"
Jason's body smacked into the ground. His vision blacked out.
*****
Jason's eyes opened. But, he couldn't remember opening them. His head hurt. His entire body hurt. He felt dizzy.
In front of Jason was a puddle of blood. However, it looked unfocused. Everything looked unfocused.
Jason thought. "What is this? What is going on?" He felt intense pain in his chest. He coughed up large amounts of blood into the puddle of blood in front of him. He thought as he looked at the puddle of blood. "This is from me?"
His body writhed in pain. Jason felt even more intense pain than before. He screamed out. He felt his screams echo in his ears. He coughed up even more blood into the puddle.
Jason heard a voice speak. The voice resonated in his ears but he was able to distinguish whose voice it was. The voice said. "Interesting. It has never had this reaction before."
Jason thought as he listened to the voice. "Reaction? What reaction?" Jason coughed up large amounts of blood into the puddle again. The pain in his body increased again.
Jason screamed out as the pain increased. He felt his scream echo in his ears. His scream sounded louder than it had before. Blood began to drip from his ears. His screaming stopped. He coughed up even more blood.
Jason heard another voice speak. The voice resonated in his ears just like the first voice and was also indistinguishable. The voice said. "Are you sure this is safe?"
Jason writhed in pain on the ground. The intense pain in his body continued to increase. He coughed up even more blood.
The first voice said. "Yes. It's almost over."
Jason screamed out in pain again. More blood dripped from his ears. His ears felt like they would explode at any second. His screaming got even louder.
Jason's vision blacked out. His screaming stopped. He laid motionless on the ground.
*****
Jason stared at the ceiling above his head and thought. "I'm alive?" He looked up at his hands and thought. "Yeah. It looks like I am."
A look of surprise appeared on Jason's face as he stared at his hands and thought. "It's gone!" He suddenly sat up. He felt the palm of his left hand with his right hand as he thought. "How is this possible?! It's disappeared!" He continued to feel the palm of his left hand with his right hand as he thought. "But how? An injury like that should take days to heal! How is it already gone?! This doesn't make any sense!"
Jason looked at the room and thought. "There must be some kind of explanation for this!" As he looked at the room the look of surprise on his face turned into a look of complete and utter shock.
The room was completely empty. The bodies of the Shadow Corp soldiers which had occupied at least half of the room before were no longer there. Jason thought as he looked at the area of the room the Shadow Corp soldiers had previously occupied. "Wh-Where are they?"
Jason looked around the room but only saw emptiness. He could see no signs of the Shadow Corp soldiers anywhere. In fact he couldn't see signs of anything. There were no blood stains anywhere to be seen. There were no signs of Thomas and Jack either. The room looked exactly how it had looked when he had first entered it.
Jason thought as he looked at the empty room. "What? What is going on? Where is everybody? What happened here?" He looked at his left hand and thought. "Was it all just a dream?" He shook his head and thought. "No. That is impossible. I remember it so clearly. I remember all of it."
Jason put his left hand on his chest and thought. "That pain I felt is gone." He looked at the empty room and thought. "Everything is gone." A saddened expression appeared on his face and he thought. "Maybe it was all just a dream after all."
Jason slammed his left fist into the ground and thought. "No it can't be! That vial. I remember drinking it! I remember getting stabbed! I remember feeling pain! This must be some kind of trick. This must be!"
Jason heard footsteps from the other room and immediately turned to look at the doorway to the room. He thought as he stared at the doorway. "Is that Thomas?"
The footsteps coming from the other room continued to get louder and Jason continued to watch in anticipation.
A man stepped through the doorway of the room. The man had a white and red outfit. The dominant color was white and the secondary color was red. There was a sword strapped to the man's back. The man was Jack.
Jason pointed at the man and said. "It's you!"
Jack stopped walking and looked at Jason. He had a confused expression on his face as he looked at Jason. He said to Jason. "Do I know you?"
Jason recoiled backwards in shock. He said to Jack. "What?!"
Jack looked at Jason with the same confused expression as before and said. "Have we met before? Why are you in my house?"
Jason yelled out. "Don't screw with me! What did you do? Where is Thomas?"
Jack said while confused. "What? What are you talking about? Who is Thomas?"
Jason balled up his left fist and thought. "So, that is how it's gonna be, huh?" He got up from the ground and walked toward Jack.
Jack didn't move an inch. He remained standing where he was and stared at Jason who was approaching him.
Jason said angrily as he walked toward Jack. "Tell me! What did you do?! Where is Thomas?!"
Jack smirked in response to Jason's questions.
Jason became even angrier. Just as he was about to grab Jack he heard a familiar voice from behind him. He immediately stopped what he was doing.
The voice said. "Jason, who are you talking to?"
Jason thought as he listened to the voice and stared at Jack. "That's impossible! How is he behind me?!"
Jason slowly turned and looked at the person behind him. His jaw dropped.
The person who was standing behind him was Jack. Jack said to Jason. "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Jason pointed at Jack and said. "H-How is this possible?" He looked at Jack and then turned and pointed at the spot Jack was a before. "You were just there."
The spot Jason had just seen Jack was now empty. There was nothing there.
Jason turned back around and faced Jack. He said to Jack. "H-How did you do that?"
Jack said. "Do what?"
Jason replied. "You know what! How did you appear at two places at the same time?"
Jack shrugged. "I don't know what you are talking about."
Jason said angrily. "Fine then! Don't answer!" He turned his back to Jack and began to walk away.
Jack said from behind Jason. "By the way Jason. How is your hand feeling?"
Jason froze. He looked at his left hand and thought. "How did he-?" He turned and faced Jack.
Jack smirked and said. "So, it's fine now?"
Jason blurted out. "What did you do to it?"
Jack shrugged and said. "Nothing much. Just applied some medicine to it."
Jason blurted out. "Don't give me that! What kind of medicine can heal that fast? And shouldn't there be a scar?"
Jack shook his head and said. "No. It completely heals your body. Any and all scars you had were completely removed as well as any sicknesses."
Jason looked at his left hand and thought. "My scars… were removed." He turned and quickly ran out of the room.
Jack said from the main room. "Hey! Wait! Where are you going?"
Jason thought as he ran through the building. "Bathroom! Where is the bathroom?!"
Jason finally stopped running. He stood in front of the bathroom mirror which hung above the sink. He thought as he looked at the mirror. "It better still be there."
Jason quickly took his shirt off. He looked at his chest and then he turned around and looked at his back. He thought. "It's gone." He smashed his left fist into the sink counter and said. "Dang it!"
Jason heard footsteps from the hallway. He looked at the doorway of the bathroom and saw Jack standing in the doorway.
Jack said. "What's wrong?"
Jason glared at Jack and said. "Congrats." He put his shirt back on and then began to walk out of the bathroom.
Jack moved so Jason could get by him but Jason crashed into his shoulder anyways.
Jason said after he crashed into Jack. "It worked." He walked down the hallway.
Jack said from behind Jason. "Wait! Where are you going?"
Jason said as he continued walking. "NYCS1."
