The first in history

Brad walks further into the room into Leo's vision

"Did you just manage to teleport that glass?"

Brad's eye brows are raised his face is smiling, also he is rubbing his hands together.

Leo looking slightly fearful of Brad.

"Yes i did."

"Now you have got me excited if you manage to do that on people and large objects, we can make a fortune."

Leo lets out a small laugh.

"You really are a merchant at heart."

"Well there's only so much money you can make doing what we do, i would like to retire without dying ha ha."

"How do we make money?"

"We earn money by taking contract's."

"How do you award these contract's?"

"There's is a scale based on you magic power and use and what your capable of which depends on which contract's you can take, that is all managed by the council of the hunters, my self i can take on all contacts B class and below."

Leo turns back toward the training area.

"So where does that leave me?"

"Well there is a rule that allows a team to take on a higher class contract, if signed of by the hunter commander in charge of that area."

"Aaaahhh i understand very convenient for you."

Brad Laughing.

"Yes it is."

Sitting down close.

"Right now we have twenty five A class missions outstanding and 2 S class missions."

"How are they classified?"

"They are classified by the council when they receive the request the council determines the class based on its difficulty."

"What is a typical B class contract?"

"Typically it's a transport mission from here to the capital or form any small village or settlement."

"Are they that dangerous?"

"They can be, the last on i was on i had to kill a Criton and many Brutas, the problem with transport missions is that the journey is never the same, because the road may be clear all the way there or it will be filled full of creatures."

Leon trying to hold his shock in by what he just heard but his eyes flare up slightly.

"Right now i get you, how many people typically take a transport mission to make it safe."

"Around forty people will guard two caravans to make it safe."

"Ok sounds like the best method."

"So when do you think i will be ready to take on a contract?"

"Well normally you need to be able to at least defend your self but by the looks of it you can more than do that."

"Honestly, i don't feel like i'm ready at all it take's a lot of concentration to use magic and move."

"Well let's spar and see where your at, don't be scared this room is designed in away to protect anyone inside it."

Hearing this Leo is a little apprehensive but nod's and agree's, standing at either side of the room from one another.

"Are you ready?"

Taking a deep breath Leo nod's

What happens next Leo does not expect, Brad surrounds him self him pitch black shadow magic armor, he then leaps forward with a giant axe in his hand made the same, Leo has no time to think with it happening so fast Brad covered a distance of 50m in mere moments, swinging the axe at him, Leo not having much time to think gets his arm chopped off.

Brad instantly stops all his movement.

"I thought you said you were ready."

The pain of losing his arm surges through his body.

"Ouch, Oh F**k."

Then what happens next is another shock the arm is raised by the floor twisting the arm to match the exact position Leo is stood holding his shoulder, the feeling of massive amounts of energy surging into his body, the arm then begins to fuse back to him.

Leo face of horror changes to amazement.

"Well it doesn't normally happen that fast the building must like you."

With a slight groan.

"What do you mean it must like me?"

"Well this entire building is a sentient being it's physically alive it emerged here when the Helm appeared and is the guardian of this area."

"You mean this entire building is alive."

"Yes if you want to talk to it go to my floor and simply talk if you're worthy it will talk back to you, it's one of the conditions of becoming the acting Leader here."

Leo's interest peaks on knowing that this building is alive.

"Anyway want to go again?"

"Yeah let's do this."

Feeling more prepared this time he asks Yuna to assist him.

{Yuna let do this together.}

{I thought you would never ask.}

As the Yuna says this a female appears at the side of him, she has long blonde hair very slender and a athletic build, dressed head to toe in armor of light, this armor has dragon on either shoulder also decorated in dragon swirling around the body the helm protects the head but lets the hair flow freely.

Brads eye's light up.

{You ready Leo.}

{Yep.}

"You ready Brad?"

Brad still looking at Yuna his eye's wide open.

"Yeah i'm ready."

Brad encases him self in armor like before this time he is holding a war hammer in his hand, this time he spreads his base and waits.

By this time Leo has covered him self in similar armor to Yuna they both leap forward crossing each others paths neither on is holding a weapon as they dance through the air at great speed.

Brad leaps forward to the middle of the room keeping his eyes on the movements of them both.

Yuna the first to lunge at him with her fist cocked ready just as she is about to hit, Brad makes a wall out of shadow magic but this does nothing as the fist flies through the wall, Brad's eye's are in shock as he moves backward to dodge, but he forgets about Leo in this moment.

Who moments before the wall had risen, had also lunged forward with his entire body almost parallel in mid air, as he reaches Brad from just behind his view he quickly puts his hand on the floor sweeping his foot around, to kick Brad's legs from under him.

Brad's instincts kicked in as he was about to get swept, he leaps of the floor turning toward Leo, swing the war hammer at him, but then he notices it Leo is smiling.

What Leo had done is firstly stunned Brad with the light magic penetrating the shadow, then the fact that he had attacked him with a kick to sweep him, everything had happened as he had expected.

In this moment as the hammer was just about to make contact with Leo's face he vanished and Brad felt a very hard kick to the back of the head, falling to the floor the hammer dissipated.

Brad on his hands and knee's starts to laugh.

"Incredible you learn so fast its like you have been fighting your entire life, that and you used the magic as decoy rather than your main weapon, only top class fighter think that way, well done."

Earlier in the top floor of the tower Brad was sat at his table.

"So what do you think of Leo?"

"This man is the one, he will even out power me!"

"Wow!! Really what makes you say that."

"Well right now he is using spatial magic he doesn't have full control yet but he's close."

"He's what, incredible no one has ever managed to get close but you say he's nearly there."

Brad stands up and rushes down to the training area.

"Tell him about me if the chance arises."

"OK"

"Look i want you to go to the top floor and talk with him." Standing up as he says this his armor fades away.

{Yuna dispel the magic.}

{Understood.}

Yuna's magic dispels

Brad's eye lighting up as this happens.

"Also what magic is that i've never seen anyone make another human body before with magic, yeah we can make silhouettes but that was almost life like."

"Honestly i have been playing with all different types of magic when i had the idea of trying to recreate a body to fight along side me that was powerful, this is the result of my experimenting."

"It must be true, your the command line."

Leo hearing this is surprised to hear those words.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well it a prophecy that is as old as the Helm it talks about someone coming who can manipulate magic anyway he see fit commanding it as it was apart of his own body."

Leo never being one for prophecy just smiles.

"Well i don't know about that, i'm just Leo."

They both walk up to the top floor, walking into the center of the room, Brad holds his hand out making a fist, a green glow manifest its self around his hand.

He turns his hand over to expose his palm he slowly opens it ad the glow starts to swirl slowly taking the shape of a small Trent.

In a low slow creaking voice.

"Hello, their Leo, I'm known as the watcher."

Leo stunned by what he is seeing, he had played many games and the one thing Trent's were was not small.

"Hi, so your the one who healed me, when i lost my arm."

"Indeed, so i've been watching you since you came to be in this world, you are very Quirky and unique."

"So what is it that you would like to talk to me about."

"The Helm and the one who controls it, let me tell you what is actually happening."

Brad walks away saying this conversation ain't for me, the Treat is left floating in mid air.

"So it all starts with a Lucifer the first to be born with magic, when he learn't how to control his magic he hid them from the world, slowly using them to do good in wars and save people in need, after a long life of death and life he felt a lone, he didn't no as first his life span was a lot longer than he imagined."

"Watching lovers die one after one he became bitter he wanted companionship, secluding him self in finding away to give others what he had a 6000 years passed when he stumbled upon a way to do it, when it was a full moon he set about a plan that would change the world, he used his magic to make another moon, in doing so a massive earthquake was caused."

"This made a massive crack appear which we now call the Helm, every child born after this moment had the ability to use magic, it also made many creature evolve at rapid paces and also develop magic, this is how i was born, the event is called the catalyst."

"In doing this Lucifer had cursed him self to need to absorb vast amounts of magical energy to survive, through his researched he had learn't that the blood of creatures is good for energy he first started with that, but the more he did it the more he lost a part of him self over a period of time he had started to grow horns, his face started to become course and leathery, after a brief period of 500 years the horns were fully grown."

"Other humans had start to develop magic with little help from him life changed vastly for everyone who learn't how to control it but many just choose not to, at some point after that he stopped being able to gather the energy from creatures, this put him back into deep research what he discovered next is what changed the world today for the worst."

"The settlement that Lucifer called home was situated just out side the helm it held approximately fifty thousand people, on a night everyone was in the house sheltering from a snow storm that was raging outside this one of the few times now one venture outside, the fear of getting lost and freezing to death was very real."

"A farther had just put some more wood on a fire to keep the house warm the family where playing a game in the living room, this game was guess the object it involved someone conjuring a object out of magic and everyone would guess what it was, this was a something they all loved to play and it would allow them to improve on there magic."
