Chapter 280: Skye

"Skye!" Elize exclaimed, bursting through the door. 

The corners of her lips stretched in a smile as she looked at the sixteen-year-old with excitement. The girl looked much healthier than the last time that she had seen her. It had been a good six to seven months since they attended Heidi's funeral together. Skye had gone into shock and had almost shifted with grief at the loss of her cousin.

Luckily, Irina and Agatha kept her well-grounded with their calming spells. When Elize had left for the faery kingdom, the girl's eyes were sad and empty, as if she was dead inside. But now, all these months later, there was color in her skin and her beautiful brown eyes sparkled in delight as she rushed towards her. 

"Elize!" Skye shouted excitedly, quickly wrapping her hands around her torso in a warm hug.
